Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - Part 14

May 6, 2019

    1. Scarlet is such a beautiful sculpt, right up my alley in style :D Congratulations, I like how she is styled there already, even if it's not permanent :D @Cap'n

    2. What a wonderful group to belong to...lol.
welcome to the f60 club. :) Your scarlet is awesome. Even blank. Congratulations. I like her with short hair, will you keep the length?

Thank you I love her too much. Hoping for more camera time with my crew this weekend.
Kiyo had a bit of time earlier this week, when I was playing with my photography lamps....
I truly love her versatility. Changing her hair color and styles is so much fun.

    3. @Nikki'sNewObsession
Hair color is right but Angora is supposed to have long straight hair. I've been looking into what fiber I want to make it. Love the look of mohair but worry it may be too poofy for how I imagine her. Also just went down and purchased some fancy material to sew her a few outfits. She's a bored rich socialite who wears a lot of black and gold. Feeling very inspired by this girl. :3nodding:

    4. Great color. Mmm. You want her hair to have a sleek straight style. soy? or a yarn wig? There are so many options now.
I love the soy/yarn wigs, for how they hold styles. Straight will suit her posh style. I really look forward to seeing angora all together.

I love mohair for my very natural girls, so their hair is unruly yet beautiful.

      Thank you :)

    5. I love curly mohair too :)

    6. Hi everyone. I do not understand the color of the skin from the photo, but maybe someone knows what color of the skin Lunnula on the promo photo?

    7. Is there a rerelease of lunulla? If not, the Mandrake Moors pics are in NS I believe, because WS is really pale!

    8. Thanks for the help. There is no re-release, unfortunately. I just thought that the promo photo of Lunnula in white skin color.

    9. That’s so fair! I actually have a pic of her in ws, abd a pic of another NS doll here, abs I think the WS is paler than her pics?

      • x 1
    10. I recently purchased it from WS. She is so similar in skin color as in the promo photo, that I was still sure that I looked at the promo photo in the WS. Thank you for the photo.

    11. I could very well be mistaken! I wonder if they say on the page and I just overlooked it?

    12. Although @Nikki'sNewObsession 's ShuShu is probably enough for a page, It's been a couple of days so I'ma gonna insert one of my girls in here :wiggle This is one of my two FLA60s and they are sisters. This is the younger sister. I still need to give them names though :D

    13. I think you're right. By the way, who saw the new FeePlee 60 on the Fairyline body?

    14. She’s cute! I’m really hoping I don’t end up needing whatever fantasy parts she gets...

    15. I kinda wish it was a mermaid instead of a bunny so my wallet get a break from the last 2-3 events. I'm already sold on her and I don't even know what the rest of her look like! She have all the elements that I like - the face shape, Fairyline60, bunny, and maybe bunny legs?

    16. Haven't dropped by in a while since I've had little time with my dolls recently, but here's a newish shot of Fable.

Oh boy, I'm excited to see Feeple60s but at the same time I hope I don't want this girl LOL. It was hard enough talking myself off the ledge with F65 Angela in tan...

    17. I would also like a mermaid, but for some reason Fairyland often makes rabbits. In any case, I will have to refrain from buying, as I have already spent on Luha and Medusa.

    18. @Aquadoe that's ShuShu event head, no? She is gorgeous!

So where can I see this fairyline rabbit, if I dare?? Thanks :D

    19. @IngieBee She is on the Denverdoll facebook page:

      Facebook

I hope you can see it. I can’t upload the photo right now.

      Loving her pretty face!

    20. Oh yah, @brightberry , that's a cutie :D Good luck everyone, to hanging on to your pocket books. Fairyland got me 2x in as many months.... NO! 3 times total end of year bang! I'm in debt the rest of this year! LOL So I'm safe.... not!

    21. @IngieBee 3x as well for me! Ingrid, Medusa, Luha... and now this new Feeple60. I'm back at the debate table of can I afford a tan and a natural skin debate? Or which one can I afford because realistically I can only afford one lol

      • x 1
    22. Fable!! Always gorgeous! I love seeing her, those eyes, her hair and face up, she's perfect.

      • x 3
    23. Ohh no, I really might be doomed. The new girl is so pretty and I love her outfit. I've been waiting for a new Feeple60 girl to be released. I passed on Ingrid and Medusa because I felt they were too big.

    24. Anyone knows if the heel feet for the Fairyline60 will be different than the Moe Feeple60 one? I'm not a fan of the Moe Feeple60 one but I also don't want to have to buy another fullset just to have heel feet. I didn't see on the website that heel is available separately either.

I'm thinking of buying a fullset in tan and a basic body in Natural skin. With a long long layaway of course because I been hit with too many Fairyland event lately.

    25. Well, I'll tell you what. If you like the looks of the MOE body, you will most certainly love this doll. 99.9% chance of a happy ending IMO :D I wasn't a fan for a while, but now I have 3 and since my desires for "realistic" dolls have been met, I can fully appreciate FL dolls as different beings that I can love as they are. Posing is amazing :)

@aireoko I'm afraid they are. Although the fairyline looks more like the old F60 body, I believe people have said it is in fact a 3pc torso version of the MOE body.

    26. I love the moe body. It's lightweight and so easy to pose, unlike my heavy Volks girl.. I have a Feeple60 Carol on the long legged Moe body. She's my go to doll when life gets me down and I don't feel like playing with a more fussy doll.

I realized, I don't think I've ever seen a Feeple60 Fairyline body.. I had assumed they were the same as the minifee version.

      Here's my Carol, Cecilia.

    27. @IngieBee Shoot, I was hoping it be different heel foot wise. The chubby feet is cute as heck but so hard to fit the shoes I have. Guess the stuff it with tissues paper will have to do lol

@Stokiaci agreed about the long legged Moe body. I wasn't sold in them at first, but the longer I had one the more it grew on me and became my favorite SD size. I'm looking forward to the smaller bust size of the Fairyline60 body. I have a bunch of outfit that can fit now - assuming the same measurements on Fairyland website still apply.

      • x 1
    28. Oh your Carol is magnificently sweet! @Stokiaci

Yah, is there a moe foot shoe thread @aireoko ? I probably have posted in it, but i forget, LOL

I did find that these shoes fit really well, not too loose, not too tight, though they also fit my other sd size dolls (not the large ones like IH or Impl)

These FLAT shoes fit well, from moritime on etsy:
[IMG]Etsy seller moritime shoes by ingiebee, on Flickr

and these I just saw fit her really well too (flat)

I'm actually in dire need of shoes, so I should buy some and try them out. I have a large range of dolls that can use them if they don't work out :)

    29. @IngieBee is there a moe thread for the Feeple60? I desperately need more shoes lol

Also, bunny leg for the new girl is out! Just like the minifee version. Make me wish Fairyland give us some hints of future releases. For example, spring is Fairyline60 and Minifee and summer is Feeple65 and Minifee or something. So I know what to hold back or buy lol

    30. Well, there is this thread @aireoko and yes, we need a lot more information on there, and keep it up (as shoes do come and go year by year, though some stick around forever :)

    32. Haha, I guess I'm doomed, too. :XD:
I was actually planning on a Minifee as my next doll, but now I've seen the new girl and she looks so precious. Can't wait to see more pictures of her.

Thank you for sharing the Facebook-link. I scrolled down a bit and read that they seriously questioned the continuity of the company earlier last year. :aeyepop: Wow, I guess we can all be lucky they changed their mind.

    33. Is Feeple a relatively new company? I just got back into bjd after 10+ years. I own now three (just bought one of two dream dolls) and I have Medusa on layaway, so I haven’t seen their quality up close yet.

    34. Oh, welcome back @Guiltyschuldig49 :D Yah, back in 2012 I think it was, CP/Luts broke up and CP went solo with the old sculpts. They didn't make F60s for some time because the body belonged to Luts, however the mnf body belonged to CP. CP continued making mnfs and expanded to Pukis, littlefee and expanded a great deal more with smaller dolls, all of which have amazing pose-ability. A year or two later they finally made an SD body and have since revised that body to the MOE line. I can't remember how many of the old sculpts they continued to offer with the new F60 bodies, but they've all been discontinued at this point, I think. Also, last December they discontinued a lot of their minifee older sculpts (and some newer ones!!!) I'm not too great at remembering exactly who what when how etc... so maybe someone can give better history details (I'm not even sure on the dates, LOL) But anyway, so glad you're getting a F65 and hope to see you on that thread!

Oh quality wise: Possibly the best posers in the BJD industry (except the F65 is difficult to get to sit, can do it, but it ain't easy especially with pants). They don't finish their seams, and sometimes they can be noticeable. I have never personally received a doll who's seams were distracting enough to try and remove, or even for me to notice (I'm not the pickiest of people though :abambi: ). That's about it :)

    35. Fairyland DID produce a 70cm body for awhile that was the predecessor to the F60 and F65 bodies, but that’s also been discontinued. It’s a really nice body, though (at least the male is, I never owned the female body). Poses really well like all of Fairyland’s other dolls. My only issue with it is the hands are too small for the size of the overall body. They just used Delf hands instead of sculpting appropriately-proportioned hands for a 70cm body. :doh

The feet are also on the small side. They’re the same size as the male F60 feet. But at least they can be hidden in shoes. :XD:

    37. I wish they would bring at least the boys back. Though if that's true about the hands and feet, it sounds like an easy fix? A little upgrade would be nice! But this won't be the year, I'm sure :(

@allinaking , when Ria first came out as a harpy, OMGosh, I wanted her so bad, but had no funds at the time :( She is gorgeous, no?

    38. If anyone's interested, here's a body comparison of:
Left: Fairyland Feeple60 Moe Lishe high heel (left) NS, wig size 8/9
Middle: Old Luts CP Delf Soony NS, wig size 9/10
Right: New Luts Delf Annamarie type 3 body pureskin normal 2021, wig size 9/10

      Large size image: https://i.imgur.com/XZxZC0K.jpg

The new delf type 3 body is nearly identical old CP delf, and a good replacement for the CP delf body if you can do something about the resin match.
Very slightly longer legs and arms. Slightly larger hip joint and more graceful where shoulder and knee joints connect. Obviously paler, Pureskin Normal is not a resin match to CP NS. Resin is quite toothy, feels like a fine grit sandpaper. Old delf is plasticy smooth.
They all fit SD10/13 girl shoes and clothes from Tree Design, Nine9style, and TTYA.

      • x 11
    39. I agree @juumou that the type3 is a great replacement. I wanted my Juri05 to have that original look and had AngelToast match the new luts resin. I found also through experiment, that I could match it by using white pastel to lighten up the resin as base layers :) Of course, it's a no-go if you have a faceup already (like I have with my Lishe )

    41. I'm still waiting on my f60 mirwen to arrive, but I get to enjoy her a little early, because her sp arrived this week. I'm quite smitten. Her default face-up is temporary, as she and her oe will get matching face-ups. Here's Alex:

    42. I'm not biased, but Mirwen is the best, LOL. Seriously though, when Fairyland posted Mirwen on a delf body dressed up like a Victoria Frances painting, I almost died of heart ache! Thank goodness they eventually made her :love

      • x 3
    43. Everything Victoria Frances has a hand in is special. Because the dolls she created for me are the best and most special. We can only hope that one day Fairyland will invite Victoria again.

    44. Yes, I've loved her since that image was released, but at the time, I had a minifee collection.
And I tried her in mnf scale, but it just wasn't the same. I'm really enjoying her in f60 and I only have her sp, right now. lol :)

    47. Wow, she pulls off deep ruby lips beautifully, love it! @Chameleon

@Arekushia , you have such a lovely little witchlet. I hope she isn't living in Salem MA in the 17th century! :D

    48. thanks!!!

Does anyone know of jointed hands that look right/fit on f60's? I was thinking about trying the resinsoul girl hands on her, but Zilvriia plays the flute, and I can't get her fingers into a position that looks like she's playing with the static hands she has, so I figured I'd see if anyone had suggestions

    49. I love Resin Soul hands, but so far I've only bought the boy SD hands for my big 65cm girls (they're quite dainty) I MIGHT have a pair of girl hands but I'll have to dig. I'll go dig now see if I can find them. @Chameleon

I did have their girl jointed hands! I double checked with their sizing, and they are the size of the SD girl hands reported. So here is a comparison. Keep in mind, the Fairyland hand in the middle is magnetic and doesn't have a ball attached in the photo. The SD boy hands are below (looks HUGE) and the girl hands are far daintier and a few mm shorter than the FL hands

Hope this helps. I'll bet other hands are larger, so hopefully someone will come in with a different pair to compare?!

I have more pictures here :)

    51. Wow, even without a faceup, he's amazing @Nasa :D

    52. @Guiltyschuldig49 Fairyland has been around since prior to 2008 (there was a big bust up between Luts and Fairyland in 2008 over the F70s...). Cerberus Project, which of course pre-dates Fairyland (but is technically the same company) has been around considerably longer than that - perhaps 2001 or late 1990s? Though you'd need to ask someone who has been in the hobby that long.

    53. Oh wow, she looks lovely, thanks for sharing. : )

Her face-up is gorgeous. I like what you did with her. : )

    54. That really helps! I think I'll pick up a pair of the RS hands for my RS girl, and see how I like them, but I'd definitely have to mod the wrist ball, by the looks of it. I'll also go see where else makes small SD jointed hands--I know Alice's collections has a section for hands, and I have so many girls who could use them that I'm not super worried if they don't work out for her.

thank you so much! A friend of mine did her faceup, and she did such a beautiful job

    55. Some of those pictures make the hands look a lot alike, but the RS hands are much thinner, not so wide. I hope you'll like them, unfortunately, it's so hard to capture the differences :(
