Fairyland Feeple60 Discussion - Part 14

Thank you! It's funny I wasn't much for natural hair colors on my dolls before, but I'm really loving this red brown on her.

 

Hello! Today my lovely Erda came home, and I am SO EXCITED!! He is beyond gorgeous, omg.

Of course I've heard stories of Fairyland's masterful engineering and beautiful lines, but seeing it in person is a whole different thing. Every detail of this sculpt is *chef's kiss*
I fell in love with his adorable face, but now that I've got a better look I see his body is just as beautiful. Slim and lithe and not overly-muscled...a perfect balance between youth and maturity. And the joints! So elegant! I can't get over how natural the line of his bent knee and even his ELBOW is! I've never seen a doll with such pretty double joints. He really does look like a fairy prince!

That said, I feel like I need to take a three day seminar on how to pose him/how his joints actually work.
There's definitely something going on with those hip cups that I don't understand, and I can't seem to get the lower torso joint to work either...

In addition, he is strung REALLY tightly. Not sure if he's supposed to be or not. But like, it is so tight that the neck mechanism seems to be causing damage to the actual neck. There are some pretty nasty looking scratches. My inclination was to take him fully apart and give him a bath, restring him slightly looser, and maybe suede that neck part, but...I am stymied by the neck mechanism. How tf do you get this thing off??? Also, has anyone else had this neck-scratching issue? If so, how did you deal with it? Does he need some kind of sueding, or will looser stringing take care of it?

 

The way you take off the stringing is to unhook one foot (with an extra ribbon or something to controll the pull back) then the other foot (usually a little easier). Now you can fake the string out through the neck. The neck mechanism is clamped on to the string/chord.

If you just want to loosen him up a bit, you could try extending the chord length by just adding a section old ribbon on each foot with a good strong knot??

 

Aha! Thank you very much! I'm so used to unstringing dolls from the top down that I never thought to go at it from the feet, lol.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna try adding a bit of ribbon to each foot and see if that doesn't help solve matters.


EDIT: Does anyone know if female option hands and feet fit the male motion line body?

 

@GammaVector all MiniFee hands are interchangeable, I don't see why it should be different for the feet. The MNF ankle parts look the same on boys and girls.

 

Oh, you're welcome @GammaVector , For some reason, that's how I string all my dolls, maybe because my first dolls I messed with stringing were Fairyland dolls?? I never even think to go through the neck!

Well, anyway, I put the brown wig with bangs on my Sionna and she looks so much better to me. Do I just dislike blonds? Seriously, I keep replacing the few blond wigs I have with darker brown black or red. But honestly, I never liked her in her blond wig :/

None of my dolls have earrings, I think I need to start making earrings and putting them on everyone. I've been watching beading shows lately, LOL

 

It's funny, I really don't like that style of Fairyland lips but on Sionna it's so pretty! Maybe it's because her lips aren't completely colorless everywhere? Sometimes it seems like they just put a blob of color in 3 places, at least that's what the photos look like to me, but this is pretty

@IngieBee Your Sionna looks fantastic. Her dark hair looks good on her. Sionna and Lunulla are two of my favorite dolls that I dream of having. It's nice to see them in different images here on the forum.

 

Yes, whenever I am thinking about a doll, or have one on order, I can't get enough pictures to study to see all the possibilities.

 

Goodness, I realized I never shared Song here... Must remedy that! She's my Halloween 2017 Event Head and the reason I have Meadow (Ria). I originally ordered Meadow just to get the event head... and I ended up keeping them both. Such is my fate!



I really, really hope we see the F60s come back soon. I want more, Fairyland!!

 

I love my Erda. Bring out more boys! Tan choice included. Basic would be cool. The new body poses so well.

 

I see your picture and I go ooooooooohhhh which head is that? She's BEAUTIFUL , then I read and it's like, hey, you got one of 'em! LOL, but she has a home made faceup, so not as beautiful...yet That 2017 head is indeed one of the best, I love her!

@IngieBee - yes, more pics, but I was sending the call to Fairyland/CP to Make more boys! Different faces. tan as an option when the weather agrees. do the boys not sell that well? it's not as if they'd have leftover stock. if only 30 people bought a boy doll, that would be 30 happy people. lots of moola for CPFL.

I too hope that they bring back the F60 boys, I want one, but I'm more partial to the original Feeple60 bodies, especially the muscular one. If they bring them back, I'll order at least one just to make sure that they get their "30 boys quota!"

I do want an Erda, but I'd have to figure out where to put him. Small houses means you have to limit how many SDs you have, especially if you want to keep them out.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year to all. In such a difficult time, good emotions are simply necessary and today is such an emotional and joyful day that I can not help but share it. Three years later, I found my Lunnula Moonbeams FS. She came to see me today. This doll and Sionna have always been at the top of the list of desirable dolls for me. While there is no photo, but I do not think that it will still be interesting to someone. I wish you all great emotions when you receive your new dolls.

 

Oh wow, is she a full set? She is a beautiful face! Huge congratulations, although a bit belated. I didn't get notifications, and am just getting around to seeing what's not showing, ugh!

Anyways, gosh, I sure hope you can post some pictures soonish? It's wonderful you found her! I have a Sionna that I bought second hand, but she has the "normal" faceup and isn't a fullset.

 

I was lucky enough to find her in fullset. I haven't been able to take a photo of her yet because the weather has been overcast for a long time and I don't have enough light for a good photo. But I will definitely do it and show it here. Sionna is a wonderful doll, I still hope that I will find her someday too.

Thank you. Haha, I couldn't resist buying her a dollhouse of her own, to play with.
I'm looking forward to her bestie coming home, so she has someone to play with. But that will likely be in the spring, with current wait times. I'm excited for my f60 mirwen too. I've wanted a sd mirwen for so long.

Oh gosh, I fell in love with Mirwen when she was only a one off Victoria Frances, and I never got her as a mnf because I wanted THAT one! LOL. Then I kind of stopped coming here for a few years, and there she was! I finally got her, I think it was 2017 And I absolutely love her! You'll love your's I'm sure

Oh, she is lovely! I need to save up for more professional faceups instead of dolls (which I intended to do until Fairyland gave me the one two punch on mnfs and F65s. Now I'm in hock for the rest of the year!

 

Song is quite lovely. The Halloween 17 head is so sweet, and her faceup really brings that out!

Same, only when she was shown in the Victoria Frances set, I was only collecting mnfs at the time. So I did adopt mnf mirwen twice, once in ns and once in ts. Neither worked out, I just always loved her as a f60 more. I'm really glad I ordered her when I did, too. It was shortly before f60's got put on hold. I would have cried, if I'd missed the opportunity to finally have her.

I've been spending my weekend enjoying my diorama's and tweaking things here and there. While I wait for her and a couple others to come home. Her boo and I are anxiously waiting, but it could be any day now, or another 2-3 more months...

@Nii-san_Obsessed or anyone, I have a head that I bought a while ago. I was told that Kio is a "2008 Fairyland NaNuRi" head, but after checking your Limited Event Feeple60 Heads thread, I don't see him there. Here's his pic:

He originally came to me on a female body, but he'll eventually have a boy one....and a new faceup.

Does anyone have any idea what Kio really is? Or is that all there is to his sculpt's name?

Tried that @Ryuichi Sakuma 13 . First one was freaked out by them, the second one "outgrew" our collaboration when she turned 11 or 12. Such a disappointment I would have tried with my boy, but he and his father are stuck together like glue, so no Mommy Son time

Maybe the one will come back to me when she's old, LOL

Do you have other pictures of your boy? Like a profile and 3/4 view? He may have had his eyes opened?

Or check out the Nanuri 08 sculpt, that might be it??

 

He is a Feeple Nanuri08 which is the Feeple70 one, because only Feeple70 was around by his release. The first Feeple60 didn't get released until 2012. Nanuri08 is ob the Feeple70 chart.

Hi guys! At long last, I've managed to replace my Erda! I sold him not long after he was released, thinking I could always get another one, and then Fairyland "temporarily" discontinued him. I don't believe the word "temporary" from Fairyland anymore. Anyway! I managed to start a layaway for a new Erda! He's my DOD Sha's boyfriend, and Tristan has been lonely! They're both figure skaters, and I have the Volks ice skates for them!

I'm always using exclamation points! Is that bad? LOL!!! At least it's not all caps, eh? !!!

I put my FL60A (not to be confused with FLA60 -- why fairyland, why? ) anyway, I put an Alice's Collection outfit on her after disastrous results on other dolls, and it fits her perfectly! (oops, exclamation point again ) Though she is on an Impldoll model body, it seems to fit clothing just like the old feeple60 bodies. Anyways, I had to take pictures 'cause I think she's so cute

Okay, I feel like an idiot. I remembered to look inside Kio's head, and it actually says "2008 NANURI" inside. After checking out @Nii-san_Obsessed 's ALL Limited Event Feeple70 heads post, that's exactly what Kio is, a Feeple70 limited head. Thank you ever so much, @Nii-san_Obsessed for making these charts! I would have wondered forever why I could never find poor Kio on any sites. I'm still planning on getting him a 60cm body of some kind someday, even though he looks rather pin-headed compared to most of my 60cm heads.

Hopefully, you have your boy's body by now, @Stormlight. I'm waiting for a MNF body myself, and just put a Luts/CP Delf 60cm boy body on layaway, so I can relate. Be sure to show him off when he arrives!

Ah yes, my body did arrive! And it’s perfect for Muse. I will get pics of him eventually. lol

My only issue with it is that there’s a missing magnet in his foot. I mean, the seller told me it was loose ahead of time and I said it’s fine, I can just reglue it. But when I got it, it’s not LOOSE, it’s GONE.

I asked about it and she said she’d “put it away in a secure place” and forgot where she put it (er...why not leave it with the DOLL? ). She is apparently looking at hardware stores for a replacement to mail me. I suggested maybe she’d have better luck with Amazon or a craft store for something like that. Haven’t heard anything about it since.

In the meantime the foot seems to be staying in place on its own, but I haven’t really played around with the body much so not sure how sturdy that is.

Would anyone happen to know offhand the size of the magnet I’d need? Just in case I have to hunt down a replacement magnet on my own. I guess I can try to ask Fairyland if they can tell me the measurements, too.

So, can anyone take the diameter of the magnet in a boy feeple's foot? Is it the same as a girl's foot?

 

Welp I joined the cult of f60 now. Got a Scarlett I traded a friend for. Prior I had only every played with minifees and I'm surprised how they're basically the same but bigger!

My girl is still blank and basically everything is temporary but this is Angora.
