Wow. And you found him a body? How wonderful! I used to have a Feeple Riff...I bought the full set years ago when the Riff came out. I can safely say you will be very happy with the quality of it.

Well, I got a default Riff in order to get him a body, lol. I already have a f70 girl, so the quality is fantastic. I was amazed that I actually found a OE with a default faceup, I've only ever seen two f70 breakaway heads on the MP and I bought both of them!

 

Hi all! since this thread is both for f70 and f65 I have a question: anyone has received last event Juri head? I would like to see pictures of him/her
I think I have criteria for get the head but I hadn't a confirmation from FL, do they usually confirm if you get an event a gift? :/

I love him! he is so tall!! He's the first 70cm I ever had, and I couldn't be happier. He poses amazing, and he stands like a rock!

 

congrats! I'm curious to see feeple poseability.. it's not hard to believe that FL bodies poses well in any size, I think their dolls are the best in that! *__*

 

Has anyone heard anything on Fairyland re-releasing the F70s? I was browsing through them and some of them say "Available Soon" instead of "Sold Out." Have they always said that or is Fairyland about to do some awesome sneakiness and re-release them?

 

Does anyone have a picture of the inside of a Feeple70 head? Or can someone just tell me whether or not they usually have Fairyland or CP stamps inside their head/headcaps?

Nope! It has been so long since I opened up her head I forgot that it was a twist lock instead of a magnet!
She has two series of numbers on the rim of the head and a matching series on each side of the head cap. One is cast in and the other series is hand etched after casting. This might not be the case for the other sculpts though. Mine is an Ashley who is a number limited sculpt whom FL stated will never be re released.

Oh awesome! These dolls are far too beautiful to not post! I don't have one, but I must say I've been hoping they'd at least bring the big boys back!

I still want a NS version of my long-sold-on Dreaming Vampire Moon, who was only ever available as the freebie head that came with F70 body orders.

 

BTW, for anyone who's unaware, Fairyland has a survey up asking about any discontinued sculpts we'd want to buy. They don't want suggestions, they want you to be committed to buying it if they decide to do a re-release, and will email you about ordering it if that happens. Feeple70 bodies are not available as a choice in the survey, so I think those are doomed. But we can certainly ask about F70 head sculpts! The survey is here: CP/FairyLand Re-release Survey

Oh, and I have a nice little F70 story... pretty early into the hobby for me, I got an Esther head. I painted it myself and enjoyed it for a while, but then I decided to sell my entire doll collection and start from scratch, so off she went. I've come to regret it because Esther was such a unique sculpt, the only one kinda similar might be Delf If. But Esther can't be found anywhere. There are hardly any owner photos of them and I have never caught one for sale. Well, recently I was thinking about her again and wondered where my old one was now. Via feedback threads I was able to trace her to her current owner and... I know it's a big no-no for a lot of people, but, I reached out and asked if they would ever consider selling me the head. And they said yes!! Esther is on her way to me from Europe right now. I'm so excited! I think what makes it extra special is that it's actually the same head that I used to have... I can't believe it! And it's not even the first doll that I sold and returned to me later... haha

 

That actually is pretty cool, your having her again.

Had I known at the time that the F70s were never coming back, I'd have held on to my BW Vampire Moon, even though I hate the way Fairyland's white resin ages. Something something Hindsight. Something something 20/20.

 

@overlordu Congrats on getting your Esther back!

That survey is tempting, but I can't commit to anything these days. Would be cool to see Ashley brought back as a Feeple65 though. Or a rerelease of Rho.

 

I'm drowning in Fairyland Layaways, so I sure hope they don't plan to bring anything out until next winter

I did put on my Fairyland survey that I wished they'd bring back the F70 line. Even if they just brought back the head sculpts on the F60 bodies, that would be okay. Would I buy a second Rona? Yes, yes I would. I hate the moe body so much, I wish they hadn't discontinued the "active line" F60 body. But I love the F70 body, it's so pretty and elegant. Who knows.

Just a note - I'm fairly sure this is the F70 thread...

 

I finally took some new pictures of my F70 Cali boy! I have been struggling with styling him for years. I made him this wig but it's a pain in the butt, so I used other wigs for a while, but here it is back again. And he has different eyes every time I take photos of him. Someday I'll settle on the perfect combination!

I wonder when we'll hear anything about that survey... I'm kinda scared because I asked for like 4 or 5 sculpts I think? LOL but the chances of them re-releasing all of them is pretty slim. Honestly I don't expect them to re-release any of the sculpts I asked for but I will buy them if they actually do it.

 

Who knows? They seem pretty stuck on the current style of sculpts - I asked for Lishes - in sizes that they don't currently offer.

Your Cali looks good - I think the wig style looks good.

 

Oh wow, I would have been side tracked into here if you hadn't said anything. We should see if a mod could put F70 in the title, no?

 

@IngieBee Shouldn't need the number - all the others have the numbers, and these are, after all - the original Feeples, and only got a number later.

 

Are 16mm or 16mm eyes better for Miwa? Can anyone show pictures of the difference?

Yes! I'll be giving him a faceup in a couple of weeks ^^ Then another when i get him his own body.

I did ponder about leaving him blank as there's just something special about his face but i really wanna see what he's like with a faceup!

 

Hello, joining this thread as I am delighted to announce that I have recently purchased and received a lovely but rather yellow F70 Ashley .

She's going through a spa treatment and is all in peices, but im hoping a whitening bath will kill off some of her yellow tones. If not then I will have to learn how to dye a doll

Either way, I am delighted to add her to my collection and work on restoring her colour! I'm besotted with her lovely long legs and can't wait to get her strung together again to see her posing

I hope this little post make inspire you to take your own F70s out! I need more photos for inspiration!

 

Oooh @helenb92 congratulations on your Ashley! She's such an iconic sculpt! I saw an Ashley head for sale last year but I wasn't quick enough and she got snapped up If you haven't seen it already, there's a tutorial for using a very diluted dye bath to restore yellowed dolls to a more natural color. If your spa treatment involved any sanding, you'll want to sand the doll in its entirety before dyeing just to make sure you get an even color. But if you didn't do any sanding you could try it right away!

I keep meaning to take photos of my Cali boy!! He got a bunch of new stuff months ago and is looking very cute. I'm also hoping to make some progress on my Esther boy this summer. It's so nice that other people are still into F70s too hehe

 

@overlordu - thank you! The F70s certainly are rare finds these days. It's a shame they don't make them any more as the body aesthetics are really beautiful jever mind the sculpts! Thank you for the link, I knew I'd seen a tutorial somewhere!

Yes, Ashley has had a full sand down, the only part I haven't sanded is her head as a part of my heart breaks a little bit of face of history being removed. Ultimately it will happen as I'm keen to customise her, but I will enjoy it a little while longer for now. The sanding did help to lighten her a smidge, but the red pigment has really well and truly vanished. I'm still going to try a whitening bath, but I'm not holding high hopes for this magically pulling some pink back into her.

If you have any advice on where to buy clothing, please do let me know? She is by far my biggest doll now

 

@helenb92 I feel you on sanding the head! That's actually why my Esther is still a work in progress. The previous owner started sanding but didn't finish, so I kinda have to finish it or else the head is uneven Sanding the face is so scary! I've been using fine grit sandpaper and while it's much more time consuming than using a coarse grit, I've noticed an improvement in color but not a change in shape. I mean obviously some change must be happening, but since the sandpaper is so fine I think it's easier to avoid over-sanding. It's such a boring process though which is why I haven't finished. Ugh!

I'm not too familiar with the F70 bodies (my F70 heads are on other bodies ), but their torsos are around the same size as Delfs. Here's a page with Delf and Feeple measurements. Delf girls can wear SD13 girl size, and in fact are sometimes a little small for SD13 clothes, so I think an F70 girl could fit into some SD13 clothes, particularly ones without long sleeves or full length pants. SD16s have a fuller bust and smaller waist and hips, so I wouldn't bother with SD16 clothes except for maybe loose-fitting tops. According to the measurements, F70 high heel feet are the same size as SD16 heel feet, but I don't know if the shape is the same. I think the real challenge for F70s are pants, and for that I have no idea what fits!

Yeah, I think I would be extra cautious when it come sto sanding the face as there is so much precious detail there. The hands were also tricky to sand, but hopefully I have done a good enough job for the time being. I probably won't be dying her any time soon, so I can always go back and tough up areas as getting the dye even is important.

I have to say, even with sanding being a bit of a tedious and finger print removing process, that feeling of smooth resin is just the best!

I do have f60 and f65, although not much in the way of f65 clothing. So I guess I will try on so tops and see what fits, perhaps I can attempt to sew somthing. Trousers/ leggings will definitely be more of a challenge but that's half the fun right?

 

Hey there! I have a question, thought itd be most fitting here. I have a feeple shushu head and am not happy with the feeple60 body, it looks so pretty, but man the posing leaves many wishes open. Anyway, I was thinking about putting the head on a dc youth body instead and was just wondering if thats possible/ or if the peoportions will be way off etc. Thoughts?
My plan would be to 3D scan the neck mechanism and print a set for the doll to go on another body, so that shouldnt be a problem, asking more about proportions/possible difficulties, things I havnt considered.

Which DC youth body would you be looking at? I can basically guarantee, owning their Y-06 body, that a FL head is going to be way too big on its tiny little neck. Maybe the other, bigger DC y bodies would fare better, but the 06 is tiny, and needs a very small head to appear proportionate
