Fairyland Feeple 65 Thread - Part III

kapiszonka, there are a couple of other ways you could look at it, perhaps. For one thing, many people (myself included) may not see the Roke face as being 100% masculine as you do. Like, I think he has rather feminine lips and eyes. To me, it's only his jawline that makes him 'male'. For another, the ears on the Roke sculpt are perfect for the mermaid idea that StJohn has. And lastly... vive la difference, perhaps It's always a lot of fun seeing what different people can bring out of the same sculpt There are quite a few 'male' sculpts that have been given female identities, and you'd never know that they were ever meant to be otherwise, lol! Anyway, just giving my opinion, since, as you say, you're new to the hobby!

from the 1800's to the present, but have never been so actively involved with my dolls and other collectors
of the same as I have been with BJD's. My curiosity is always piqued and I'm always getting ideas, being

Kells and I went to a doll meet yesterday. The more I play with him the more I love him. I'm getting anxious for my girl now. And thinking I just may have to get the new boy when he comes out. Oy. Where am I going to come up with the money? I knew PukiFees were addictive, but this is ridiculous!

Sometimes I forget my guy is a Roke at all, since he just doesn't look like the rest of them to me. >.>


Hasn't anyone else kept him? I didn't see anyone waiting on Roke in the Fairyland waiting room last I checked. So where are they? Seems odd to see so few around when we know that the fullset sold out. They can't all be floating heads languishing in the marketplace, can they?

 

i saw him in the gallerys before! i thought he looked like a hippie. XD but refreshing to see the usually buff and strong roke on a smaller body

 

I really love the girl body, but I am trying hard not to fall for Chloe and her sexy face. Would love to see more handsome Roke's too. Guess he is not as popular as the girls.

 

Edward and Kells (LOOK ABOVE) are Rokes. So is StJohn's mermaid.

EDIT so I got bumped to page 2. However there are 3 Rokes on page 1.

 

I can't resist Chloe anymore. This event is sweet enough to attract me like a fly. And I'm gonna get her some high heeled feet as well!

Zerartul, absolutely! I have both faces on order. The sleeping face with faceup, the dreaming face will be sent out. I've already got someone lined up to do the dreaming face

Thanks, napria ^_^. I have a Soom MD outfit on the way for her, and a few things from Iplehouse so there's really no excuse not take pictures of her once they get here. I really need to get her some shoes though...

 

Yay, I'm so happy, my sleeping Chloe head that was modded dreaming just returned from the customizer. With a little luck (and no more wind outside) I'll be able to paint the Face-up today.

Theres nothing to feel gay about. Chloe are just stunning if dressed up and taken well. Seeing one in real life is even better!

 

Psh, Chloe's are stunning even naked. I'd love to just let my girl lounge around that way.
I did just get her a Soom outfit. It didn't fit all that great, but adding some hook-and-eye closures in place of the snaps fixed that right up.

 

Hope you don't mind if I chime in here...I finally have my Feeple65 Chloe, Eleanor on the way after 5 part layaway from DDE and she should be arriving next week as she just cleared customs last night. I have both faceplates arriving with her but am kind of 50/50 over the fact that I ordered both with face-ups (I don't trust my skills or lack-there-of on her but would have loved to have her customised) but can't wait to finally have her home.
In the mean time I'm loving everyone's photos! Keep up the great photo spammage!

Welcome Jenkat and congrats! The default face-ups are beautiful and if anything bothers you about it I'm sure you could get it tweaked. Thats what I'm planning to do with my Chloe. ^_^

 

I need to get more eyes haha. Trying to find something magical here hmm. trying to prevent myself from getting ever more dolls at high rate lol

 

For some reason I can't see any posts from the last one (before this) I posted here anymore. I can see who the last person to post was and click on their username then click on "find all posts by [username]" but I can't see any pictures or see posts I may have missed.

candy kitten, I LOVE her eyes! They're gorgeously detailed and look fantastic with Chloe's face! And when do we get to see these shoes

 

Wow, candy kitten, those are incredible eyes! I love them! But I'm surprised you didn't go with an icy blue, in keeping with her theme. Don't get me wrong though, I really do love them!

littlegreythings, were you using an iPad by any chance? That's how I usually view and post here. I kept wondering if I hauled out my laptop and fired it up if I would still have the problem. But I'm glad the problem is fixed.

I bought my husband a Christmas pressent to give me for Kells (did you follow that?) He let me try it on Kells before putting it away for Christmas morning. I snuck in a few pictures, hehe...

Im still waiting for my tailored dress which is based off forest elf design (LOTR style) wonder how it will turn out mmm.

Hehe, yeah, that's Kells. I love the outfit but I think the GIGANTIC cross is gonna go. It doesn't go with his character anyway.

 

Just popping in to ask a question. Are the heads and bodies easily interchangeable? Like would Roke's head fit on a Chloe's body and vise-versa?

Thanks napria... I'd have to admit I've been longing for a Chloe since the original Feeple 65 release last year so I'm so happy I'll finally have her at home this week!

Thanks Wittyilynamed! That's what I was thinking too! Possibly a bit of tweaking possibly in order, and I already have a weak spot for FL dreaming faceplates so that at least I am not likely to change though.

Foxy_kitsunechan, yep they are! A couple of pages back (or possibly in Pat II of this discussion) there's a Roke head on a Chloe body.

 

Oooo, candy kitten, I like the blue, but the green actually seem cooler and suit better.

Littlegreythings, the outfit is actually already packed away and hidden in the "North Pole" which is our euphemism for where we hide Christmas pressies.

 

I found Roke a couple months ago on the Fairyland site and went crazy for him. But his outfit was out of stock. I contacted Fairyland recently and was told that once an outfit is out of stock, it's gone forever. But then I came across Think Pink and found one last full set! He shipped two days ago. I just hope his helmet is all done up like on Fairyland's site, because one of the images Think Pink showed was just a plain gray thing without paint or feathers.

I've been calling him my Dragon Boy but I think I'll stick with "Roke." I like the name. But now that I've seen how everyone's put his head one female bodies, I'm thinking I might need another one...

 

Fin Raziel, I'm not entirely sure, as I don't own a Roke, but I *think* that the helmet was an event item... and not part of the fullset.

In any case, congratulations on getting a Roke! There aren't enough of him around!
