Fairyland Feeple 65 Discussion Part V

Jan 15, 2014

    1. in general, Fairyland dolls are my least favorite to pose (in any size) and I also have the older body. So with that disclaimer I'll add on to what @Jglow said above:
My F65 Will Not Sit Upright for love nor money - "lean slightly backwards" - doesn't even begin to cover it, and considering the double joints, her range of posing is surprisingly limited. She is, however, very solid on her feet (I only have the flat feet) and fairly easy to dress - I've found SID clothing tends to fit well.
I have mostly SD+ sized dolls, so the weight isn't an issue for me, and she's not noticeably heavier than my other big girls with similar body types. I generally don't wire my dolls and only suede when I absolutely have to, so I don't think the difficulty with posing the F65 is so much weight as it is just not great engineering - Fairyland designs their bodies first and foremost to look pretty, posability is clearly an afterthought. The F65 stringing system also seems a bit unnecessarily complicated. I suspect they had all sorts of grand ideas for fantasy parts (that either never made it off the page or were shelved) when they were designing the body - the magnetic arm thing is interesting (a little alarming the first time they fall off unexpectedly) the way the legs are strung is just complicated and weird, imo.
I clearly like the F65 body well enough since I still have one, but I don't plan on getting another. If you are primarily interested in dynamic posing (or sitting at all) you'd be better off getting another body from a different company

    2. How does one disassemble a FeePle65 girl? I know their internal structure is a wee bit nontraditional, and I've never really seen one in parts before. Since I plan to mod/dye one, how much of a pain is it to take one apart and put it back together again?

    3. Here's my F65 tan Siean I've recently completed faceup work on.

    11. What You have it bright and interesting! Very cool.)

    12. Hello! I recently got the Feeple65 Sylvia she's a beautiful doll but needless to say she can't sit to save her life, is there any way to improve on this either through nodding or re stringing Thanks in advance!

    13. Her legs should push back into their sockets to lock them. That should help her sit better.

    14. I am so glad I found this thread. I was beginning to worry that I was the only one who had a feeple 65. Does anyone know when FL restocks their things? I've been trying to get more hands and feet. Every time I check it just says its sold out. I've been looking at other thigns too like wigs and clothes and stuff, but that isn't specific to fairlyand.

    15. Ehh... Fairyland tends to put items on "sold out" status, without any definite plans to re-start their sales. They usually concentrate on their most popular sellers - Minifees, and full-sets.
I think that if people bug them for specific sizes, they'll reconsider re-opening that doll type for sales again. I too would love some extra pairs of FP65 boy hands.

    16. It was my understanding that they were fazing out the feeple65 line.

So who knows when and even IF they will open it again.

    17. you know, Fairyland would make so much more money if they handled all their lines like the minifees - there's so many options with minifees! multiple body types always available (the female A-line has 3 chest options and 2 for the legs, different styles of feet, just All The Choices) AND you can buy just the bodies on their own so you can have the doll you ordered, and make another complete doll with the event head. smh Idk why they don't do that with the F65 and F60 lines. I've liked a few of their SD sized event heads quite a lot, but not enough to buy another whole F65 just so it can have it's own body and I'm stuck trying to unload an extra head I don't particularly need/want

    18. Aww man that is such a bummer. I only recently decided to finish working on my siean and im going to be so bummed if they stop selling parts and accessories for her.

    19. Quick question does Feeple 65 Chloe only come with elf ears? I think she is gorgeous but I would prefer her with human ears. I would rather have Feeple 65 Chloe than Feeple 60 Chloe. It is just my personal preference. Thank you!

    20. @blackdahlia - there's a human chloe faceplate. both the open eyed and sleeping have elf ears.

    21. @blackdahlia I am afraid she only comes with elf ears. I think there was an event face back many years ago that was the human Chloe.

    22. Is Fairyland never going to make these beautiful dolls again? :horror: I did notice there are a few beautiful outfits still for sale on their website, but I'm not sure if they've always been there??

    23. @IngieBee Those outfits have always been there. I hope they will sell them again, one day.

    24. I have no money right now anyway, but it would be super if they offered Chicline and Feeple65 next year again! I wonder how they are doing financially? I hope well....

    25. Yeah! I think so!! I really want FL release F65 muscular boy again!!
But I have ask distributorship, she told us FL do not have plan for F65 this year.
      I'm so sad.:(

    26. How long has it been since they made the last batch of FL65? Seems like forever!

    27. I remember when people were saying this previously and then FL released Sylvia and Ine seemingly out of nowhere with a modified body, vamp hands, and new headbacks. I doubt they would trash an investment like that so quickly especially with Sylvia's relative popularity.

    28. I did ask them earlier about the feeple 65 Chloe because I really want one on the new body. They said it was not possible on the new body because of the neck mechanicism but they will work on making the chloe head to make it work on the new body, as a suggestion. I hope if they do, they do not change her because I like her face as is

Anyway, they said they are under a lot of work in the factory, but they told me that it might come back in 2020, this was back in 2018

    29. That's great news to me as I want to reorder my F65 Chloe again to get her sleeping faceplate and optional hands. Been waiting years already. Another year won't matter.
That will be awesome if they modify it too because I want the newer body. But I agree with you, I hope they don't mess around with her sculpt in general just to fit the headback.

    30. See, that makes no sense. The neck mechanism on both bodies is exactly the same. They shouldn’t have to modify anything, just put the entire old head on the new body. It should fit just fine.

    31. It was my understanding that they were not. I believe I read somewhere in their website that Sylvia faceplate was attached differently than the old feeple65. I don't think you can swap headbacks. Of course I only have the original Chloe and not the new body so I can't personally verify. To me the head looks smaller than Original Chloe. So the neck mechanism may look similar but it could be smaller. Hard to judge in pics.

      edited to add link

Okay. Found it. here you go. You can see they are attached differently.

    32. there was confusion when the 'new' body came out. I've mentioned somewhere that my Syvia was supposed to be on the new, smaller bosom body and came on the large bust body. I thought it was the old one since the hands have the old pin in them so they seat properly, but Sylvia's head is smaller than Chloe's. smaller neck too. so, they must have made a large bust and smaller one for the new head size. or all the tans got big boobs! not sure why some people had different hands.
so, with the smaller neck size, the headback must be different. Chloe's faceplate looms large when I hold it next to Sylvia. :arainclou

    33. Yes, the head backs are different. And the new heads are smaller. You cannot attach a new faceplate to an old head back. And vice versa. However, both head backs should fit on the old body. The opening for the neck mechanism is the same. I’ve owned both the old AND the new bodies and I can tell you that they both have the same mechanism. That’s why it makes no sense when Fairyland claims you cannot put an old head on a new body. If you have the ENTIRE head, you can.

    34. then I was right all along. :doh I have the old body with the new head. thanks for clearing that up @Stormlight
I wish FL/CP had told me that I wouldn't have the new torso that I ordered. she's so gorgeous, I didn't care at the time.
but, having two different shapes in my girls would be nice. I have muscular Roke and more boyish Rho. mix it up!

    35. Thank you for clearing that up.

    36. So If they rereleased Chloe would her original head look too big on the new neck? Like bobblehead looking?

    37. No. The new and the old body have the exact same proportions, beside the bust. Sylvias head itself is smaller than all the other FP65 heads (as you an see here: Got my fairyland feeple65 Sylvia today lighting was not the best will get better pictures on the weekend). I honestly doubt that they'd redo Chloe to fit on the new headback, since that would be pretty much the same size as FP60 then... they probably rather do a new headback system. (plus sculpting a new head just to fit on a new headback makes no sense... way easier to make the old headback fir the new body/neck).

    38. Seeing them together like that, makes Chloe look like she has a huge head in comparison.

Ill just copy and paste what they told me, but basing on the pictures, it seems very doable but for some reason they didnt want to do it. Maybe they had plans to make the heads all smaller but I really doubt that because they didnt change the minifee heads with the different bodies made available later. Offering a body choice as an option as is would have been fine to me

Thank you for your interest in our FairyLand dolls.

Currently, it is not possible to order older sculpts on the new body due to compatibility issue. Your interest for Feeple65 Chloe in New Released Feeple65 body has been translated and passed onto our management team for possible consideration.

Should you have any other questions or requests, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

      Thank you.

I just want to see FL doing well again and sorting whatever factory issues they have going on. I wish for an 60 or 65 ideally centaur but they said that would be too expensive if they did produce it in that size. Too bad because out of all the pegasuses and similar creatures, I think the FL is the best engineered and designed in my opinion. Plus it would look so cool to have the 65 on that kind of body, male or female

Their limiteds are generally very beautiful looking so Im looking forward to that in 2020, or perhaps the next doll in the Mandarake Moors series

    39. Well this is disheartening to read FL's response since the neck mechanism hasn't changed. Maybe they aren't confident that people want that large head on that new body (as Meanae's pic shows the difference).
It's a shame too as I think Chloe and Siean are such beautiful sculpts, but I've been wanting to reorder only Chloe for ages. Regardless I hope in the future they make more beautiful elf ladies in the 65 range. MORE ELVES PLEASE!

    40. so anybody try to hybrid the new head type (sylvia/ine) with another body?, i see the shoulder's width is 11,5 but seem the body with same shoulder's width is too small for them

    41. Sylvia fits on F60 bodies as well. I can take photos when I’m back home from work today, if I remember!

    42. i already have seen fl65 on fl60 body, seem the body is to small for them :(

    43. I think any other FP65 head doesn't really work on the FP60 body, but Sylvia does. Her head is smaller than the others, so it should work fine :) Not sure about Ine though.

    44. @rinssoul , if you have both parts, that is, the back of the head as well, I think the Supiadoll 65cm body would be a good match size wise and resin color is very close.

    45. so feeple65 can fit perfect the body have same size with supia doll? it good new, thank you ^^ now i just try to find her face connector, this seem difficult because fairyland don't produce it anymore

    46. Yes, it might be easier to make one :(

    47. For anyone else who needs to know, Sylvia’s head is extremely small compared to previous FeePle65 releases. (Head and body proportions remind me of ChicLine.) Her head circumference is about 8 inches. I don’t own Ine, but my guess is she would be similar to Sylvia, as she is also newer.

    48. of course the new release head will be smaller than other old scuplt but the measurements that fairyland provide is so incredible, it too small than i expected, they say feeple65 have shoulder width 11,5 but the head can fit body with width shoulder 13-14

    49. @rinssoul, I love the FL65, but unfortunately do not own one. But I have seen companies list the shoulders from joint to joint. Which is a completely useless measurement. So maybe someone here could verify that distance (outside corner to outside corner???

      • x 1
    50. FP65 shoulders are 13,5cm wide, including the arms. FLs measurement is measured from joint to joint.

      • x 2
    51. My feeple 65 has mysteriously lost her right foot. Does anyone know where i can get another one seeing as fairyland hasnt restocked any feeple parts in more than a year?

    52. Their feet are attached onto their ankle via magnet. It’s likely the magnet in the foot came unglued and is now stuck to her ankle piece - leaving the foot itself unattached.
Perhaps contact Fairyland? Unless someone here happens to have a spare pair of feet to sell you. (Or you hopefully find it!)

    53. Thanks so much for the info, everyone! I had no idea companies measured from joint to joint. Good to know they’re actually 13.5 with arms.

      • x 1
    54. It can't hurt to see if Denverdoll.com has a pair??

    55. You can also just ask FL for a replacement foot, as long as you have any kind of proof of purchasing her. My FP65 body had a crack in one upper leg and FL let me buy a new one, maybe they'd do that for a single feet too.

    56. thank you for your information
when you send messages to fairyland about replacements new foot, do they ask you to provide photo of broken foot? if not maybe i can tell the old owner to message them and ask for selling new head connector

      • x 1
    57. I've showed them a picture of the crack, so yes.
Not sure though if they'd do that with a neck connector.

    58. I just got a response from fairyland. Apparently the cant do repairs until production of Feeple65 is back on and they don’t know when that will be. Ugh!
