FairyLand Fairy Line Mini discussion part 3

Mar 19, 2016

    1. Ohh, I am really nervous, but mine is in tan skin so I have to wait more!

    2. A Lucywen full option shipped??!!!
I really didn't think we would be seeing them so soon. I ordered the full option in beauty white, can't wait see my girl, but to be honest it's worrying that they are shipping this soon, especially with FL saying that they were not doing quality control over the winter event. Hoping they didn't just rush the dolls out in bad condition and that people get what they paid for.

    3. Where did you read/hear them say they weren't doing quality control for their winter event?

    4. I searched and searched, but can't find where I read about it, hoping it was just some random fairyland hater. It wouldn't really make sense for them to not be carrying out quality control on such expensive dolls, but I still think it's odd that that they are shipping so soon

    5. I would imagine that when they release a new doll they probably pre-manufacture a few, which helps them get the dolls out sooner.

    6. ^ Plus I remember reading that they've cleaned out their production schedule a bit, to be able to do the complete Winter Event (Cygne + lucywen) on time :) So the Lucywens should start shipping around the beginning of March, and everything thats been shipped out earlier is pre-produced. °crossing fingers° I want my girl!

    7. Yeah, that was my hope -- that they'd have a few of the 'as shown' version ready (normal-skin human parts/white fantasy bits are probably going to be the most popular I think) so that they can be shipped to early buyers, for extra publicity.

I seem to remember that happening with the first RealFees -- there were a handful of Panos & Mays that shipped earlier than anyone expected, which got people really amped up to order while they could!

    8. Hey,

Sorry to barge in, but I was wondering if the fairyline bust+its internal structure was compatible with the active line? Anyone tried?

    9. I believe the FL line is not compatible with the A line. The FL bust is too thin to work with the stringing of the Aline bodies. The piece would probably break under pressure.

    10. Absolutely too thin! But I was wondering about the bust AND the internal structure =3

    11. Ah. That I don't know. I don't even remember what it looks like since I haven't pulled my FL girl apart since I swapped busts when she first arrived. I'm curious about this now too.

    12. I've swapped F-line legs onto my A-line Ria; her torso doesn't quiiiite match up right with the f-line pelvis piece... Were you thinking to try to put just the f-line bust piece and internal piece with the a-line torso/pelvis/legs? I think there wouldn't be enough space in the a-line torso, from what I noticed restringing mine (the frame part sits on top of the torso piece). If you swapped her entire upper body, you'd probably end up with slightly mismatched fit between her torso and pelvis part.

    13. It would be arms, torso, pelvis and legs from A-line, bust and internal bust from FLine, so it would work but not perfectly, if I understand correctly?
      Thanks!

    14. That sounds like it would work (I think I contradicted myself in my post, actually; since the bust + frame sits on top of the torso piece, I can't see any reason it wouldn't fit properly). It might be difficult to string a-line arms around the internal frame piece, though. Using the individually strung f-line arms would be easier, if that's an option for you.

    15. That's super exciting that a Lucywen has shipped already! I'm waiting on a Cygne so hopefully that means my girl will be on her way soon too.

Has anyone blushed their Momo parts? I'd love to see any pictures! I'm so torn on what to do with mine. I had wanted tan bunny legs for my girl, but DDE only had the white in stock. I'm wondering if the white could be painted with brown spots or something to blend better with her tan human parts.

    16. @Sleeping Dead -- What about dying or spray paint to make the white legs a tan color?

      • x 1
    17. @sno4wy I've thought about that, but I'm worried about color matching dye and chipping for paint. I'll have to keep thinking about it. Her white parts are growing on me though. :)

    18. @Sleeping Dead , Dyeing would absolutely be the best option if you wanted them a permanent uniform color. But you can totally blush the little furry areas on the legs a tan color or give them a little spot pattern, that would be super cute! Just don't blush on/near the joints (or gloss them over if you don't mind the look) to minimize chipping.

    19. The post office has (hopefully temporarily) lost my Momo fullset. Looking through the pictures here is helping to ease the anxious wait!

    20. @Sleeping Dead, I was thinking of dying Risu's parts gray this summer. She's supposed to be a gray squirrel instead of a white rabbit.

    21. @WindGuardKT Oh no, I'm so sorry! I hope they find her soon.

@stuartsmycat That's awesome! I can't wait to see the end results.

    22. @WindGuardKT That stinks!!!! I hope they find it for you soon! I hate it when that happens :(
@stuartsmycat That would be an awesome idea!!!! Please post pictures of it process or results :D

    23. @stuartsmycat I can't wait to see your grey squirrel girl completed! Is that a Raouken corset?
@Sleeping Dead I'm interested to see what you decide for your girl! I think a spotted white and tan bunny would be super cute, personally ~

After hunting postal office workers all over Columbus, I found my girl! Here she is all dressed up:

    24. Wow! I'm glad you found her. She looks great.

    25. Thank you, @WindGuardKT, yes it is a Raouken corset. The most expensive doll clothing I've purchased, and so perfect for her that I couldn't say no. It doesn't seem so expensive when it's basically the only piece of clothing she'll probably ever own.

    26. So on the 24th of December I decide to purchase the Lucywen full package options ! So I will be getting 6 different doll heads in one order (Lucywen head, sleeping, elf plus the 3 winter event heads) It's going to be crazy because so far I only have 2 dolls! Sooo excited I can't wait for "before shipping"!

    29. Everyone's dolls are as cute as buttons, as always ^0^ Loving the Momos, make me just a bit less impatient waiting for my own to come back from Arkelle ^w^

I wanted to ask, does anyone have dolls for their MSD dolls? :D And what company are they? I have a Milim Studio for Yuli!

    30. Does anyone know the actual measurements for the centaur body?

    31. Your girl is so cute!

The wig I ordered for my Momo arrived last week and I'm dying of anticipation. One more payment! Until then, everyone spam away with their Momos; I want to see them all!

    32. So.. Fairyland just announced that they will release new dolls along with an event on March 10th.. I really hope it won't be a Minifee or Fairyline as I'm broke after Lucywen ;w;"

    33. I made quite a large order with Lucywen (since I added two dolls) but…if they have a new MFN/FL doll I like I don't think I'll be able to resist :eusa_sile

    34. New discussion thread: Part 4 !
      Show off your dolls...
