Has anyone else received their Momo?
I must be crazy, I have been lurking around her all the time and never could bring myself to buy her ("I don't need her"), but last weekend I purchased her >.< Last minute, too, soon afterwards she was sold out, although she has been available for such a long time... Now I'm exited and want to see what others did with her
I like the FairyLine, I'm really curios what they will release next!

Until then I have my other Minifees and FairyLines XD
Sia still needs a wig that suits her better...

I kept saying "I don't need her" until I realized that Momo is literally the perfect sculpt for a race I'd come up with for my NaNoWriMo world. When that happened, it was all over for me. I'm so glad she's on layaway for me now, especially since she's sold out now!

There's a few Momos in this thread if you go back a few pages. Take a look, there are some really cute ones! I'm really looking forward to mine, too.

 

I was hesitating to buy her, once she arrived I wasn't sure to keep her , but now I'm totally in love !

I LOVE HER STYLE ! Shockingly this is the first tan skin Momo I've seen and I'm loving her look

 

She is seriously STUNNING @lilaseven .... I love how different molds can look depending on skin tone and face up!!!! I would have to say Tan is most definitely the way to go with Momo, I mean just WOW

@lilaseven do you have a close-up picture of her faceup? I haven't seen a tan Momo either and, from the picture you shared, her faceup looks gorgeous on tan skin!

 

Can anyone with a Momo confirm what her wig size is? I'm assuming it's a 7/8, but...I'm afraid to get one ready for her without knowing for sure...

@LilacForFirstLove I tried some wigs and it seems that both(6/7 &7/8) will fit !

 

My Momo is wearing a Monique 6/7, but wow I had to cram it on her head to get it to work.

I did the same thing; I was planning to buy another sculpt but somehow…Lucywen made it to the basket…along with two other Minifées…oops

Anyway, there are so many lovely Momos around. I'll definitely get one myself someday! Her tan version reminds me of a video game character (Fran from Final Fantasy).

 

Oh my gosh I feel the same way haha, I just can't wait to hold her in my hands ! Quite excited this will be my first Minifee straight from fairyland

 

She's so gorgeous! The default face-up looks much better on her tan skin than on normal skin. The way you styled her fits her really well!

 

A friend and I were discussing this the other day. I didn't have a lot of interest in Momo until I saw her in tan (figures).

 

Seeing all the Momo pics of her in tan resin and seeing owner photos has really changed my opinion of her. I went from thinking "who is this fish faced girl and what was fairyland thinking?" to "omg...she is on my must have list" I seriously regret not buying her. I ended up purchasing her fullset outfit from someone so really I just need to find her and her bunny parts, but still...wish I had just gone for it. But I think she would have done a lot better had fairyland advertised her in tan resin. And there is a person on IG who bought tan bunny legs and made their Momo into the cutest freakin squirrel. A squirrel! Omg...someday I'll find tan bunny legs and maybe some white bunny legs too. But I will find a tan Momo for sure. I'm loving the custom faceups. Please keep spamming us here with your Momos!

This is getting me so excited for when the Lucywens role out and people start customizing them. And that could be soon kids. The Cygnes have already started shipping.

 

I had the opposite problem. I purchased a tan Momo and I thought I would love it. I haven't been able to bond with her face at all.

About the FL default faceup , it can vary depending the resin color , but also there are differents painters working on it ,and even if the faceups are standardized, there are slighty differences between them and maybe I'm wrong but you can recognize the work of a few :
The one who's putting glitter everywhere and painting full lips , the fan of dark circles and blue shades , The Minimalist etc...
( I think that my Momo , Chloe and Rin were painted by the same "crazy glitter" haha )

 

Yep! Me too, she's going to be my first FairyLand doll and my first BDJ ever (well, along the other two I'll get).

When I asked customer service if it was possible to see a painted Lucywen elf head they told me to get in touch at the end of January, when the first sets will be shipped so I think you're right.

 

MiniFees are wonderful first dolls IMO. If you love them half as much as I do, you're going to be very very happy with them.

I keep seeing photos of mnf Ria everywhere and I keep falling in love with her but I ordered Celine since it was the first sculpt I adored so I hope I will still love it and not regret her ~

But I'm sure once I get her in my hands it'll be alright since people say that seeing/touching your first bjd is a wonderful experience

Hi, all. I'm trying to find out if my A-Line Renewal event head will fit on the Momo Fairyline body. Does anyone know?

 

@AmaltheaMoon You can! The fit seems totally normal to me, although it's against my taste personally to have a character wth both the obvious elf ears and bunny ears; idk if you meant the whole bunny look or not. I can get a quick picture if you want

 

Then my Sia and Rendia have been painted by the one who likes dark circles and blue shades, they looked quite sickly... That bodes ill for my Momo...

 

It should since the head is technically an F-line head.

Thanks @Dustbunnie! I initially thought of getting a DOD, but then I found out the company was no longer in business. I switched to MiniFees and it was terribly hard to pick so I think I'm already very much in love

Have you ever had the problem that a head doesn't quiet fit on a body? I just purchased a (100% legal, don't worry) second hand Sarang head. It's in a good condition, but when I try to put it on my M-line body, the head starts to.. wiggle :/ Does someone might have a solution for this?

 

@Theru : I've already heard about the problem :/ You can try some hotgluing ?

You can use hot glue or eye putty or a kneaded eraser around the neck piece. One of my heads did this, so I put a bit of kneaded eraser around the neck piece to keep it from wobbling.

 

That is a good idea! I'm new in this hobby so I don't really know how gluing works but I will try this methode! Thank you ♡

A donut isn't really going to help with attaching a MNF/FLine head to a MNF/FLine body, though...

@Theru, since you mentioned going onto the M-Line body, come on over to the MNF discussion. (The division between the two lines is a little blurry!) I do know that there's a few heads that have had trouble staying steady on their bodies, and have one myself that is held in place with some putty; it does the trick, and is a lot easier to remove for taking the head back off than glue.

 

Derp, I meant using hot glue like the eraser, similar to how you would hot glue suede other parts of the body. The glue adds extra thickness to the neckpiece, but not gluing the head to it, if that makes sense.

 

I already thought that you mean that! But I think I will try the blutack-methode first since I can fix it more easily if I make a mistake ^^'

I keep reading/posting when I'm tired. Blutack is definitely easier. It's less wasteful, doesn't risk burning you, and you can easily fix and adjust it.

 

I ordered my first fairyline at the end of December. I purchase a full options package Momo. I can't wait to have her paid off so I can get her home!!

Omg, she is beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful Fairyland doll! I love her face-up.

 

My fingers slipped and I ordered one of the Momo fullsets that are up on DDE. I'm so excited as I really love her outfit!

 

Oh another one suffering from TOF. (Twitchy Order Finger) I think it might be contagious.

Congrats!! If I'm not careful, I may do the same. I just wish one of the color combos I was looking for was in basic. I bought the fullset separately. But I really don't have the dolly funds for that right now. Maybe if my tax refund gets here fast enough I could swing it. I do really regret not getting a Momo bunny.

What combo did you get for your fullset? Congrats again. And @Dustbunnie is right. That darn TOF is a dangerous thing. Hahaha.

 

Twitchy Order Finger I like it!

I got the human fullset- normal skin with white bunny ears and tail. The bunny legs were cute but I couldn't see myself using them that frequently, so I skipped out on those. I may utilize the extra money saved to see if I can pay someone to blush her lips a little more fully.

 

Lol. Congrats on the last minute Momo buys!!! I had to stay my hand and look to the upcoming weeks. Another 3 releases are right around the corner! Definitely the next VF doll for the F60 size release, and probably another minifee...no idea about which smaller size they'll release...exciting!!! So want to see what the VF doll and minifee will be

 

Really hoping the next fairyline is a faun or some 2-legged hooved doll.

 

I wish I hadn't bought Momo now. She's super expensive...and I could have used the money for an SD doll.

 

That's always the hard part, right? But Momo is almost gone, and you may have ended up regretting not getting her (and I'm sure you'll love her once you see her in person!!).

 

She is sold out on Denver Doll...and I would have regretted it. She's so stinking cute! She will be my one and only Fairyland...and a true collector's piece.

 

I'm really excited about so many Momos being ordered, personally. I want to see them all! Including mine. I wish the layaway could get paid like now. XD

I also had a twitchy order finger and ordered a tan fullset Momo from DDE! I've been thinking about her for a while, and when I saw she was almost completely sold out I just couldn't resist. She should be here on Monday and I can't wait!

Soooo.... Fairyland said the first Lucywens would be shipping 'at the end of January', but I'm not seeing any pictures of IRL dolls yet!

@Anne Laurie Definitely too optimistic, I'm still surprised they said that. Only one basic Cygne has been shipped (that we know of), and based on the waiting room it looks like they're still working on getting the November orders out.

 

I've heard of one Lucywen full option getting shipped so far... Checking my own constantly xD
