@Meggethann, as I understand it, DDE gets a set number of LEs so they may still have some available.

 

I remember that they said that and I hope that is the case. I've just been sitting anxiously waiting for that invoice. Haha. I won't feel ok about my order till the first payment is in. Felt the same way about my Cygne fullset.

So fairyland must have met processing capacity then? They didn't really sell 279 Lucywens do you think?

 

What mind games is fairyland playing? Now Lucywen isn't sold out? Still haven't heard anything from DDE, but I guess I don't need to panic anymore.

Did anyone order Momo with mint or pink bunny parts by chance and would care to share pictures? I've been trying to see owner pictures, but I can't find anyone who bought any and would really like to see what they look like. I've seen tan, natural, white and white with painting. Aside from the fairyland stock photos, seems like they don't exist. But I swear some people said they were ordering that color. Maybe their orders haven't arrived yet? Anyway...if you have pics...spam away. Any and all bunny legs are welcome!

@Meggethann : Some people "reserve" the doll and do not pay it, so the doll come back for sale

 

The Lucywen fullsets were down to 7 fullsets on Friday when I checked now I can add 32 into my cart. Fairyland must have cancelled all unpaid orders

Got my invoice from DDE today and was finally able to pay for my order I placed on Friday. I had been worrying all weekend that something might be wrong. I knew they closed over the weekend for the holidays, but I feel so much better knowing the first invoice has been paid now. Lucywen fullset will be coming home to me! Whew!

 

congrats!! What colors did you end up deciding on?

 

I ended up going with a tan fairyline body and white fantasy parts. I was very torn and almost went with mint. I was so close, but at the end of the day decided white would be more versatile to work with and if for any reason I should decide or need to sell her someday I think white would probably have better resale value for that very reason. I plan on blushing her with lots of purples/lilacs/lavenders and soft greens. Her human head will be blank and had them put the default faceup on the elf head so I got to save $70 and I'm so glad fairyland agreed to do that. I have so many plans for my human version of Lucywen and I want to do her faceup with a really bold plum merlot lip and dark black lashes and a bold eyeshadow. Maybe even cat eyeliner. I love her sculpt so much so it will be fun to find a faceup artist to work on her. The dream is to get Racquel Clemente, but getting her is always really difficult so we shall see. I passed on the sleeping head cause I rarely use them. I was able to get another unicorn horn in a split and I plan on having a unicorn princess human girl to match my actual unicorn Lucywen fullset. I bought a Momo fullset outfit and I'm going to see if that will fit on the unicorn cause I think that fullset fits what I have in my mind for a majestic unicorn more than the mad hatter like outfit. I'm hoping it works cause I think having the long part drape over the back would look so pretty. If not, my other girls can wear it. And then I plan on having one of my other girls be a mad hatter themed girl with the Lucywen outfit. I have a very long layaway to go before all of this happens, but at least it is happening! Yay!

 

I fell rather unexpectedly for Lucywen, so I'm going to plunge in and get the Full Option. I'm thinking tan with the mint centaur parts. I just watched the video this morning and had so many ideas for customization, that I HAD to get her! I'd like to wait until next week but I don't think I can, lol.

 

Hey all! I’m going to make my first order from Fairyland soon (probably a Lucywen set split with a friend + another doll) and I was wondering if anyone thinks Lucywen’s regular head looks different from her elf head? To me it seems like the elf head has a closed mouth whether the regular head has an open mouth, but I’m not 100% sure…

 

@pirouette I wondered that as well! I really wish they would post a photo of the elf head with the face up even just to see what the face up on NS would look like..? What colours are you thinking of ordering?

 

Looking at the stock photos of lucywen blank, they both seem to have the same open mouth. Just the angle which the photo is taken from is slightly different

 

I actually wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of a difference between the facial sculpts. Fairyland (and CP) are known for that. For example, my SD Elf Lishe and my MNF Elf ShuShu are slighty (but perceptively) different from their human counterparts.

 

Will this help ? The elf head is slightly leaning more forward, but I can't really tell if her eyes are maybe a little bit smaller than the normal head? Or maybe it is just the eyes they put in

 

Yeah, I think the lean in the elf head makes it hard to tell if they are actually the same or not......

 

I've found that the elf heads seem to have slightly thinner faces. At least, they seem that way to me. I've always wondered if they take a human cast, add the ears, then cast the new head.

@helenb92 I actually asked FL if it was possible to see an unpainted regular Lucywen head and they replied it won't be possible until they start to ship the first sets toward the end of January, which is unfortunately too late for me since I wanted to take advantage of the Winter event. As for the make-up on the elf head, they said it will resemble the one on the regular head.

@Sheenny I tried to make a comparison with the blank sculpts of a few Minifée heads (Nanuri 2014 and 2017, Sia, Rheia) and a Cygne head and the mouth seemed closed to me, but maybe it's just the angle. Same thing for the eyes, they do look smaller on the elf head. By the way, where did you find that Lucywen's blank head? I searched everywhere for it! XD

Argh…now I don't know what to do x_x The mouth is the only part of Lucywen's head that doesn't fully convince me, if the elf head had a closed mouth I would have bought the full option set but if it's not certain…I may just get the full set, give Lucywen's head to my friend/sell it if I don't like it and use the event head instead.

EDIT: Forgot to add I'm planning to get everything in normal skin @helenb92.

 

pirouette if you don't like the mouth being open I'm pretty sure it would be possible to hide that with the face-up. But then of course you'd have to get a custom face-up.

@pirouette I'm pretty sure it is an open mouth. You can always get it modded to close it, I've seen someone do it to a celine and it was really pretty And I found the blank picture on the fairyline a la carte page, here: FairyLand Ball Joint Doll Shopping Mall

Does anyone know what eye-size Momo has?

And, I'm pretty sure that no one has Lucywen yet, but does anyone know her wig and eye-size?

 

@Sheenny Oh, they must have added it today then because it wasn't there when I visited that page yesterday. I'll think about the mouth mod and try to find some before/after photos to get an idea of how it would look

@Teru: both Lucywen and Momo have 14 mm eyes in the official photos, no idea about the wig size, though.

That is going to make my 9 month layaway all the more painful. Uhhh...I need to get in some extra hours so I can pay her off faster. Makes me wonder how fast the fullset Cygnes will be done then if they think the first batch of Lucywens will be going out end of January. I need to get paying faster. I want my babies home!!

 

It just seems way to soon. So much for 60 days?

 

@silverholly Seems so. I asked them if I could see a painted Lucywen elf head and an unpainted Lucywen regular head and they said: "We won't be able to have any pictures available until actual doll for other customers' orders start to ship […] so please contact us again in late January."

 

Well, at least that's a good reminder for those of us with Lucywen's on deposit / layaway not to get carried away by Fairyland's new February dolls!

 

I've just bought the Lucywen fullset. It'll be the most I've spent in the hobby in one go, but I think it was so worth it. I'm just in awe of the skill and care that Fairyland has put into designing and sculpting the centaur body.

I got the white skin with mint centaur body (the mint seems to be pretty popular from browsing through the thread), now I'm wondering what colours would go well with it for the blushing....

 

@Meggethann I'm not using the Momo head but my Ria is on the mint bunny legs! I love the mint color although my girl's legs need to be blushed. pretty sure she's going to get some dark navy blushing but I haven't really been ready to unstring her yet. eh heh
I also want to make her some different bunny ears as I dislike the limited posability of the momo ones.

New dolls in February?!? Argh…I thought it was going to be later. I was planning to get a third doll in addition to Lucywen and Nanuri 2017, but I might wait and see the new ones.

 

Yep, at least a new LTF but FL never seems to release just one at a time!

 

Belladonna is beautiful! I wasn't that impressed with the momo legs at first, but seeing owner pictures has changed my mind. They can be really cute!

 

@CuriousRaven I love your Ria head with those Momo legs! Can you fit any trousers over them or are you just sticking to skirts and dresses?

 

I've got 12mm eyes in my Momo, but they're Souldoll eyes, so they're quite a small 12mm (I also got her with the mint legs, but I don't have any pictures of her with her new face-up and her legs).

 

That is a Momo sculpt!?!? Maybe I read that wrong, but if it is-Wow the difference a faceup makes. Regardless she looks stunning!!

 

thanks everyone! I love the slightly sassy Ria head and just had to get her the bunny body when it came out! she makes a good foil for my sort of spacey Rin and I look forward to my ws Lucywen rounding out my mnf's. haha

@maladict the skirt I made was the only thing I had actually put on her but I went digging thru my msd clothes and can say that she fits standard msd shorts the best. The tricky part is that her feet and thighs are wider. and the fur detail on the thich joints can snag.
-I got a pair of SMP lace shorts on her but they were very tight and fit low enough that the top edge of her mint parts were peeking above the top.
-all of my shorts from starshinedesigns were too snug to fit over her thighs since they don't have any sort of closure.
-my rRabit puffy shorts went on but were a struggle because the elastic was kind of tight over the thigh area and the buttons for the overall straps were catching on her fur details.
-KawkanaSTYLE pants would have probably fit if they weren't skinny jeans so I think shorts would be ok.
-an elastisized romper from Nine9 fit her quite well! I'm curious how their shorts might fit.
-best fit was some shorts I got on taobao. The pants made by the same shop might fit the bunny legs? I can look up the shop if you want it.

Thank you!! She is a Momo sculpt, I originally had a more natural face-up for her, but when that didn't work out, I decided to try something more dramatic and see how it looked (particularly since I hadn't seen any other Momo's with non-natural type face-ups)

Seeing bunny parts is so exciting! My wife has a Momo on layaway for me and even if it's going to be a while yet, I'm so stoked every time I see the bunny parts on a doll or the Momo head in general.

@Hyperion Your girl is cute! Dramatic faceup is very interesting on her, and I agree with @Meggethann : What a difference a faceup can make! I'd love to see her all put together. I want to see all the bunnies!

I bought a fairyline Momo Outfit with shoes and in a few weeks i will get a Moe body for my Lucywen elf head. Is here someone who can tell me the fitting of the shoes on Moe body mith Moe feet? A picture showing these would be very helpful =)
I think i need the magnet feet to fit the shoes right? >.<

Hello!
Anyone know any alternatives for the minifee neckpiece that don't cost 25$ each? I got two floating heads on the way and am panicking because stupidly enough, i didn't know about them before deciding to hybrid.

 

@Wabbie-chan : you can transform the neckhole with epoxy (or something else) to make a normal head ! I've began to do it on my RFA head, but didn't finish the work.

 

@Wabbie-chan you can probably make a little neck donut to sit inside the head for the hook to rest of, I've also heard of someone making a neckpiece using hot glue (but I didn't see the actual neck piece so I have no idea how you go about that)

I blushed Lilon's ears a little, but I'm more and more at peace with leaving the rest of him white. It's neat to see some of the other colors, too ^^ The mint is really cute.

@vanori I think Momo's shoes are meant to fit specifically with heel feet; I don't have a moe girl, but I think you'd have balance issues if you got the shoes on her flat feet.

 

Omg! I'm loving seeing all these Momos. It makes me regret not getting one. I shall live vicariously through all of you though. Please keep the spam coming!

 

Lexie, my Momo's wig arrived today! It's a little big, but it looks so nice on her! I'll just have to get her a wig cap to help it stay on

 

I really can't believe that is Momo. That faceup is incredible! I adore her!! It makes me want a Momo so bad now. Bravo to you on her. She looks lovely. I love that wig color on her. It compliments her faceup so well.

 

@vanori the Momo platforms are specifically made for the Minifee high heeled feet. The fit is very tight even on the high heeled foot which is leaner than the Moe foot. I had to remove both feet in order to be able to get the platform heels off. I hate to say it but I very much doubt you'd get the platforms to fit the Moe feet properly.

I got paid today so ordered the Lucywen fullset in NS and white centaur parts, I'm so excited~! I wanted the centaur body for my vamp Chloe head, haven't decided what I'll do with the Lucywen heads but I'm tempted to keep the elf one
