FairyLand Fairy Line Mini discussion part 1

Sep 24, 2015

    1. Not only the 300 F-line girls, but 200 Maris as well, but I agree that 3-4 months is the likely turn around since the 300 realfees from the May event took 2-3 months

    2. Hi! It 's great to be back on this forum :-) I've bought from Fairyland since 2010 & they have really progressed in the speed of producing bjds. Unless there are any production troubles it should take 2-4 months (max 60 or 70ish days - 70 is for tan orders). The only time I saw Fairyland take a lot of time (about 87-90 days)was during the production of Minifee Rin (problem with production of her outfit). I notice that any orders with no face up or full set usually gets home quicker too.

    3. so the site says all dolls are supposed to be 5% off but i dont see that reflected in the prices.. i saw a screencap of a littlefee order from a month or two ago and the price is the same now if i try to make the same kind of order. have the prices gone up in the last couple of months or was there also a 5% off sale back then? or am i missing something here?

    4. Gah! The thought that they could be in by late December/early January is both exciting but terrifying for me. Not sure if I'll be able to pay them off by then and the thought of my girls sitting in their boxes waiting for me is so sad! D;

Just the Fline is 5% off as an introductory sale (so Sia, and maybe Mari?). Everything else is regular price

    5. ah okay! for some reason i read "fairy line" dolls as "fairy land" dolls lol

    6. Aha! That's totally understandable :XD:
I hope you still are able to get what you wanted though! o: Fairyland doesn't really ever do sales, the closest you'll get to that is free event items and sometimes when a new line is introduced that specific line will be on sale (like when the moe f60s went up they were also 5% off)

    7. Woohoo! I'm also glad to be back, I paid off my second invoice today from DDE so my Sia is half paid off! It's a wonderful feeling knowing she's half mine already haha another two weeks and she'll be fully paid.

    8. Congrats on that! I can't wait till I'm at the halfway point for my girls' layaway :whee:

    9. I'm putting most of my paycheck on her every week haha it's crazy

    10. I'm so excited to get mine!!! @__@ She's going to be my last **planned** doll until next year at the earliest. //coughs so many on layaway though haha;; Is anyone else already planning on what clothes to get/make for her when she arrives? Names? What you'll name her? Stories or anything else like that? :3

    11. I ended up going for a tan fullset human Sia with the mermaid arms, and she will likely be my water dragon/priestess character all grown up. We'll have to see though, she may take on a life of her own!

    12. Yes! She's all planned out for me

    13. Mine's all planned out, too! He's had a name and a look for quite a while, and I'm waiting to hear back on a question about what I want for his wig. I'll figure out clothes as I go (it's probably close to time for me to order from Taobao again, and I've got some workable patterns going now too), I've got some time. :XD: I've got to find some extra parts and some special materials for blushing him, anyway. (And I'm so glad they're sending the male chest piece and he can be a proper he when he arrives.)

    14. I sorta have her planned out some what but I'm mostly waiting for her to get here because I don't want to plan a whole bunch of stuff only for her to become her own character when she gets here LOL;

On a side note: The wait is already killing me. I'm thinking since mine is a fullset full option package that I won't be getting her until next year :(

    15. Mine is pretty much all planned out, she's going to be a pre existing character of mine called Louluri.

    16. I have some plans but we will see how it goes. Right now I think I found a good name.

    17. My girl is planned out and with a name, too! I won't be seeing her for a loooooong while, but that's all right. It'll give me time to work on her sister, who should arrive in December. :kitty1

    18. Im basically modelling my seahorse after the little mermaid haha, I already had a seamstress making me all her outfits from the movies before I knew about SIa, she grew into my plans. I'm so excited to get her and transform her :)

    19. Just after DOA closed I paied the first instalment of my 6 part layaway for a full option set Sia in ws with pastel pink tail - no sp head as I don't really use those anyway.

So I know for sure I won't get her until March some time.

I will - hopefully - get two MiniFees and a PukiFee back from two different spas soon though. It'll make the wait easier.

Also I'm looking forward to when they all begin to arrive. Seing owner pictures is so wonderful. I'll probably look at some of them thinking: Oh no why didn't I order that combination. :doh

    20. As am I^^ I wonder if FairyLand will make Mermaid Fines for the bottom of the seahorse tail, since the clear resin part of the seahorse tail is detachable:eusa_pray
      ~Anthony

    21. Im gonna mod her tail so that her side fins that go at the top can go at the bottom.

    22. *o* Whoa...still trying to figure out new DoA haha~
^U^ But so many congrats to everyone who snagged their Sias! <3

TuT I also already know exactly what i'll be doing with mine. Well, technically I won't be keeping the Sia head sculpt, but both the human and seahorse body are going to a pre-existing doll/character of mine, my Minifee Luka, Euclid. I've been dreaming of some type of mer-body for them ever since I joined the hobby and I still can't believe that my dream came true! ^W^ The seahorse body is absolutely perfect for them too, I couldn't have imagined anything more fitting~ I'm planning to paint their seahorse parts with sparkly metallic purple, black, and a touch of silver and blue. I'm going for a dark, mysterious, but very elegant sort of look haha~ I'm also going to blush their human body, redo their faceup and most likely mod a few things as well. I'd like the fins on the fantasy arms to be more pointy like the fins on the tail for example. I'm also working out some designs I have for some fancy armor and clothing pieces specifically to go with their seahorse tail for later on down the line too! Its all going to be quite the long-term project but i'm super excited and just can't wait to work on them! <3
^u^ Crossing my fingers they arrive just in time for Christmas, that would be just amazing...! :D

    23. @Arkelle Ooo, you're putting Euclid on the mer-body? I can't wait to see them!

    24. A merclid! <3

    25. That's what I've been hoping for too! :eusa_pray

    26. I'm also going to be making a modified joint for the bottom--- that is of course detachable--- for her side fins.
My Sia is still a work in progress, but I have already bought a corset/wig for her. Right now planning on what I am going to be doing for her tail, and figure out what kind of eyes I want.

I really like the silver fairyland has going with the outfit, so I'm thinking most of my colors will be silver/blue/mint. Maybe some purple thrown into the mix somewhere. Trying to think what kind of pieces I will be making for her outfit--- as I do plan on attempting to make my own. I have become a lot better at sewing. So doing a simple top and skirt with some added "bling" wont be a problem, lol.

However, if I decide to keep her mostly nude: I make BJD jewelry too. So I can make her some nice body-jewelry/chain-mail.

    27. You know... I just noticed this now and I could be so completely wrong that I should just walk away and sell all my dolls and hide under a rock but what if the big fins that can go onto the side of her tail could be put on the bottom of it? Like so you can make her a mermaid in certain poses?

    28. You know I thought the SAME THING when I first saw the video and saw FairyLand put her side fins on her back like wings:nosebleed..... But I'm not sure that the side fins can work as tail fins since it looks like you need more of a hole and socket magnet meconizum to do that... Like the magnetic hands and feet:sigh
      ~Anthony

    29. It does look like that but then I saw how they take off the end part and I'm thinking maybe if I change out the magnets if I need to I can have one pose of her like laying down or something where she has the fin on her tail part facing up and back. o.o Idk. I'll try it and see if it works LOL

    30. You have to mod it, it's exactly what I'm doing haha. I'm modding it to give her a legit mermaid tail

    31. ahhhhh C: sorry. still new to stuff like this lol. xD i'm almost scared to mod her but at the same time x--x IDK

    32. It looks like there are a few Full Option Sias back in stock on Fairyland's site! I tried the thing where I keep adding them to my cart until it won't let me any more, and it seems like there are 3 available. :)

    33. Wow! I think the Full Option Sias are sold out again on Fairyland's site.

I keep wondering if Fairyland will surprise us with a boy Fairy line in the coming weeks but that maybe is too much to release in one event. Ever since they announced the merman chest gift it's been on my mind that they would release a male version soon. I've seen past events where they release four or more dolls, but this Sia and Mari event is pretty big already.

It won't surprise me if another Fairy line is introduced in time for the holidays.

    34. Both Full Option and Basic Seahorse Sia have been available again through DDE for a few days now.

I'm surprised that they're still there.

    35. Technically all your doing is adding a couple magnets, it won't ruin the doll haha.

    36. I am too. Honestly, I need someone to buy them soon before I convince myself I need her and buy her for myself...

    37. Me three. I almost did it earlier and I know I would regret it when I had no extra money what so ever for Christmas. On the other hand a tan with pastel mint tail . . . . . . :aheartbea:aheartbea:aheartbea

      Dustbunnie

    38. Argh, why is the basic mermaid Sia available again? I don't need a mermaid but the clear blue tail is so beautiful! I need to be happy with the basic human version I ordered.

    39. That's most probably because people, like me, have cancelled the wrong price full package. By the way, for the tail, why don't you just 3d print it. 3d printing is so popular today.

    40. Unless you have a 3D printer laying around and a ton of money, it'd be pretty hard to 3D print a tail haha.

    41. Not necessarily. With sites like Shapeways (I think that's what it's called) I believe you just have to send them the project all made up and they print it for you. Working the programming for 3D printing would be the hard part I would think.

    42. I've sent stuff to companies before though and it still costs quite a bit for them to produce it for you.

    43. Ah I see, I wasn't sure how much they charged, but it makes sense since it's a custom product.

    44. The materials are so expensive lol. It's honestly more worth it to wait and see If fairyland releases one, cause it will most likely be cheaper.

    45. If I got a a mer-tail, I'd want the exact clear blue one they show in the company pics.

    46. I'm holding out hope that since there is a male piece already in the works, it's part of a satyr/fawn event. I mean, we got a seahorse mermaid combo of fairyline and realfee, why not do a satyr to match with realfee Pano?

I can dream, because I have a Kirin character that I would love to see in MSD and I've yet to fall in love with any the ones out there. I want to see Fairyland can do!

    47. So, I've got a 3D printer. Just throwing it out there

    48. Wasa that would be awesome if the make the bottom exchangeable so you can buy lower halves of bodies like sea horse tail- hooves body - etc various fantasy part lower body pieces.

    49. My friend works at the library and they have a 3D printer available to use there, she told me you just need a membership and pay $3 for the filament. Maybe you would be lucky enough to have one at ur library too?

    50. I was just going to say, before I read faireva's post, that your local library might have a 3d printer. We have a couple at area libraries and it's really cheap to use them.

I'm so excited reading everyone's mermaid/Sia plans! I can't wait to see them all! Mine are boring: I am not super in-love with the A-line body and don't want the exact same Moe body I already have, so I'm getting the Fairyline! It's supposed to be for a Rakeru Space Enni head, but if I don't like it, Sia will work for my girl, I think. Better than the Chloe back-up I had planned on before.

    51. Yes, It's very exciting to read all your plans !
I can't wait to see all these mermaids and seahorses !

I have only ordered a human tan Sia, so mine will be very "normal". Her name will be Sofia or Carmen and I think she will be gypsy or maybe latina, I'm not sure yet.
Jasmine (my Mirwen tan), is oriental and I would like an Asian and an AA Minifees as well, I love ethnic characters !
But it's hard to find Minifee sculpts with these facial features, I'm afraid.

    52. Reading about people's plans for Sia is very exciting. I can't wait to see them start to arrive and get customized!

    53. Me neither. I need a lot of patience. Anyone know where I can buy some of that?

      Dustbunnie

    54. Isn't that the hardest part of this hobby? But I waited four months for my most recent doll to come home I think I can wait for Sia it makes it worth it to own her in the end

    55. I can't believe there are still Sias still up for grabs on DDE! Not to enable anyone or anything

    56. Yassss~~~ I love lurking in threads for other people's dollie plans. My plans are rather boring and don't have anything to do with her mermaid self. I love this new fairy line, and it's combo of A and M line is exactly what I had in mind for a female mnf. They saved me a bunch of money, from a huge headache, and a ton of time :D!

And I love Sia's face, her nose, and her slight touch of dreaminess--it's not too dreamy but just right in my opinion--and was exactly what I was looking for~

    57. Can't wait for my Sia to come in I am gonna paint her like a naga girl so excited! haha Loodles!

    58. Wow, they do still have some. I'm really surprised.

    59. they need to sell out lol, It's too tempting to buy more :P I am tempted to get a second one.

    60. I know! I ordered the basic human because I simply must have the body, and I do find the mermaid Sia's tail beautiful (I love the clear blue color) but I really don't need a mermaid, plus I'm finishing one layaway and just started another for Sia + a LTF, and I just can't. I need to have money set aside for Christmas presents for my three kids. I wish they would sell out so I'd stop wondering what if.
