Aesthetics Fairy Baby: Dream Valley Ding

Another day, another project journal I’m starting even though I have others to work on Anyway, I had originally intended to sell this little bjd baby, I couldn’t figure out a direction for him after realizing he was too big to be Minifee’s baby. But as luck would have it, he makes a good baby for Doll Chateau kids! And since Fiorella (DC Ula) has just been completed, I’m ready to work on her baby!

DV Ding​

As of now, he is blank and without clothes. Not even a diaper, the poor thing! But I plan to make him a wee fairy outfit. Plus blush him to be all rosy and sweet. For hair, I’m just gonna draw and blush it on instead of making a wig. I think he’ll look better that way. Part of me wants to glue on some snippings of my own son’s hair. But maybe that would be weird?

DV Ding idea​

I feel like knitting, so I’ll start with the bonnet! I’ll record my stitches and rows to make a pattern in the workshop! This will probably take a few mock ups. But he’s so small, so I bet in the end it’ll be a quick knit!

Now I’m just waiting for the hat to dry so I can decorate it!

 

Knitting has a lot of wiggle room for adjustment if you are the one making it! What with all the needle and yarn sizes. I’m going to try to adapt this hat to fit Pukifee as well. When I’m finished with Ding or if it keeps raining lol

Maybe someday I’ll have enough patterns and motivation to make custom orders. Throw my (knitted) hat in the ring. I’m mostly a hobbyist but it’s a fun thought.

 

Pixie bonnet​

The pixie bonnet is finished! I sewed on the leaves and jingle bell. I won’t tie it closed yet cuz the ties are just a teeny bit fragile.

Sorry this is so late! But I finished the outfit and faceup! My little fairy baby is all finished
