So yesterday I posted a full box opening of my Serenade Doll Suu, and I had a few issues with the pictures. So today I just want to show some faceups I've done during my time in the hobby. Faceups were originally what drew me into the hobby, so in the first month or so I think I did 10 faceups. First Faceup ever (Picture missing) link: http://i.imgur.com/lKRB2vr.jpg My girlfriend had a lillycat doll with a sp head, and I got to practice my very first faceup on her. Although it was blotchy, I really liked it actually. Faceup for Aellizian Aellizian was my third doll, bought second-hand from a fellow hobbyist in Copenhagen. Faceup for Aeris Aeris was my first doll. She was an Iplehouse JID Violet in Peach gold. She was a wonderful starter doll. Faceup for Isobel Isobel is my love. She's not a grail, as such, she's just so dear to me it almost makes my eyes swell with tears. I wanted to improve my faceup skills considerably before doing her faceup, because it was so important to me that she turned out good, and boy, did she! The lips fucked up half way through, maybe you can tell, but I actually managed to remove them with a bit of water and just blush and blush and blush with some pastels until I was satisfied Faceup/blushing for Archis So this is my DC Larry donning a Tim Burtonesque style. I tried with a more realistic approach but I wanted him a bit more off the rails, and I think he turned out pretty cool! Faceup/blushing for Gloria Gloria is one of my most recent dolls. She's a DZ Star and the first limited doll I saw that I knew I wanted. It's also my first attempt at full body (except she doesn't really have a full body lol) blushing, and it's ok, but I'm afraid I might have to redo it in the future because of blotches of pastel clotting in wet sealant. Hope you guys enjoyed watching!!
Thanks a lot! I guess it just takes a lot of practice I didn't think I had it in me anymore after leaving the Warhammer hobby, but I guess BJDs are just a different canvas!
