    2. Aww, she looks adorable! I really like the colors on her, she looks very natural ^^ Her lips are lovely as well, you did a wonderful job! :D
I'm not sure if you wanted this to be intentional or something, so please forgive me, I don't mean to offend, but her eyebrows seem a little lopsided on the sleeping head. Also, did you want to use eyeshadow/blush her eyelids? And what about the eye crease? They look a little bare to me. But of course if this was what you were going for you did a good job ;)

I really like what you did with her! :aheartbea

    3. I wanted her to look really young and playful, and I didn't notice the eyebrows were lopsided lol! Thanks for pointing that out :3 I'm having to redo her faceup since I tried to fix a little bit around the chin area but it just ended up getting too blotchy so I had to wipe the whole thing :...( but I will definitely keep that in mind the second time around. I'm also going to adjust her blushing so she looks less embarrassed and more just cutesy. I'll probably post new pictures in this thread after I complete the faceup which will probably be in a week since I'm going out of town for Thanksgiving.

    4. Ohh, I see ^^ Glad I was able to help! May I ask what materials you used? Perhaps I could give you more pointers from that :) Hmm, I honestly didn't think she looked embarrassed at all. I think if you had blushed her just a little more on the cheeks, forehead, chin, and the lines on the nose she would look more realistic, per say. Try doing that next time, instead of just focusing on the bridge of her nose ;) I really like that beauty mark which you gave her also!

Also, just a little pointer on your background, for the oe faceplate, the camera focused on the background. I think it's because you either had the camera too close/didn't let it focus properly/or (what I think the main reason is), your background is too complicated and makes the camera focus on that instead of the face. Just something I noticed :)

She definitely is a little cutie though! :dance

I'm looking forward to seeing updates after Thanksgiving then, you have a lovely one!

    5. Well, my camera wasn't working at all and so I just dealt with what I had, it's an autofocus 3: If I had computer paper it would probably make for a better background.
I use soft pastels, watercolor pencils, and acrylics. They're all mid-grade, nothing too expensive, and I use makeup brushes and liner brushes. The gloss sealant is gloss acrylic medium and the sealant I use is testors (and my boyfriend lets me use his high tech gas mask for my sealant coats ;))

    6. Ok, neat! I tried using watercolor pencils, but it didn't end well for me (lol). Now I'm an acrylic-only person it seems XDD Hmm, before you said that you hadn't noticed her eyebrows were lopsided. Did you block them out in pastel first, or just go for it in pencil? I do think your lines could be a bit darker, but this is about your personal preference as well. It's just that I can't see a lot of her eye crease, especially on the sleeping face. When you do the lower lashes, maybe angle them more outwards, instead of straight down, which I kinda see you doing. Also, be careful when you do blush her not to blush too dark under the eye...or else raccoon eyes! :sweat Too many lines there will also make her look a little tired. (But I mainly see this on the sleeping face) I think you did a very god job on the eyebrows though! They look so soft and natural. :aheartbea

    7. I used layers of pastel to make the shape and gradient and just used the pencils for texture and "hairs". And I feel you about the raccoon eyes, it's like learning to use makeup all over again! lol. And for the eyelashes you mean more like this https://thefetteredheart.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/260995_f260.jpg ? How they have more of a rounded shape instead of all straight down?

    8. Yes, something like that. But if you look around at the many different styles of faceups etc, you'll see that a lot of people will have different ways to do the lower lashes. Ultimately it's how your style develops, but it seemed like yours were just going straight down from the eye in places. For example, BlueFairy's faceups have the short, straight lashes, but they follow the shape of the eye. If that makes sense lol. If you'd like some good examples, some of my favorite faceup artists are AngelToast and Xhanthi, but they also vary the style of lash depending on the commission (most of the time).

    9. Alright cool, thanks! :3nodding:

    10. No prob! If you have any more questions or anything feel free to contact me! :)

    11. She's very sweet! I'm starting on my first faceup, and I'm both excited and nervous!

    12. It's definitely fun, just know you can never mess up too horribly, and if you do most stuff is reversible (:

    13. Thanks <3 :)

    16. New faceup. So a few things, before you tell me about them xD I know the eyebrows are uneven I just got tired of redoing them a zillon times and naturally they are uneven and yes the eyelashes are all bent (they were folded weird in the packaging and I'm hoping they'll straighten out, if not I'll probably redo them) and yes the mole is supposed to be that dark, I like it. Alright, other than that critique away!

    17. Hello!~ :)
She looks lovely :D I think you did a great job with the faceup ^^ I do think it could use more blushing, if you're going for a more realistic look. Also, perhaps darken the eyeshadow? Because it seems like she has bare eyelids. Of course for whatever style you're going for makes the whole feel of the faceup change/differ. Same thing goes for the eyelashes. They look nice and neat, but I can also barely see them. Her lips are very glossy and sweet-looking, and the mole doesn't look too dark at all. After all, some people do have them that dark :)
You did a wonderful job again, and I would just focus on blushing the face and darkening the eyeshadow/eyelashes! ;)
(And yeah, if you can get some different lashes. Those look out of commission :sweat)

    18. Unfortunately the camera doesn't show the blushing I did 3: Which is a shame because it's 3 layers of some lovely shades of pastels brushed on. I like leaving the eyes light to leave them bright and less "moody" or "romantic" I suppose. And yeah about the mole, my boyfriend has quite a few on his face, some dark, some light, and they're all pretty awesome in my opinion (and could be a bit of why I gave her one too!) Do you have any suggestions on where I might get some better fit (size wise) lashes that aren't so.. bent up? :huh?:

    19. Ohhh ok! :) Sorry about it not showing up though ;_; Hmm, for lashes I don't really know. There's tons of lashes on doll websites, so maybe look there? There's also some on Etsy which people sell. There are some fake people lashes that work for doll; just make sure that they're to scale and not crazy long or think. Also, the lashes don't have to be the exact size of the eye, as you can just cut them up and rearrange them as you wish when you glue. :) Hope that helped!

    20. Souldoll has some really nice eyelashes that are scaled well and even come in funky colors if you're into that. They only ship EMS which would be silly for a single pair of lashes as it would cost like 30 bucks (USD), but you might be able to get hooked up with a group order if you were interested.

Tata's Paradise also has a good selection of lashes. It can be hard to find "doll" lashes for a decent price, and as konakona135 said, human ones tend to be way too long and can look strange if they're cut from the tips rather than removed from the strip and shortened that way.

Everything I would have critiqued has already been mentioned, they're very cute, I just wanted to offer the sources I've had success with for eyelashes!

    21. Thank you thank you!! Your sources are appreciated. :3nodding:

    22. Good job! cleanly and delicately
