Aesthetics Faceup for K-doll head

    1. Finally finished Hex's faceup! He's part fairy (that's why his ears are blue). I like doing fantasy faceups, but not human so much... i wiped it like three times before I got it to this point which I like the look of! What does anyone think of him?

    2. I LOVE the blue ears, I think that's such a subtle and cute "Fairy touch"! If you want critique, I did notice that the crease for his eyelids are maybe a bit thick-- but it goes well with the style of the faceup, and I think he looks great! He has such a cute look!

    3. Thanks so much! I agree about the crease being a bit thick, but by the time I got to that point ( which was after eyebrows and the wrong order to go in) I was too afraid to wipe them and risk messing up the rest of the work! In the end I decided they matched OK and left them alone lol!

    4. He has a great expression, and you did a nice job with the shape and position of the eyebrows. Are you working with watercolor pencil? It's always a challenge getting a fine line with a pencil.

    5. Thanks! Some pencil, some pastel, some acrylic paint. I probably should have used the acrylic for the eyelid crease, but had had enough with it at that point!

    7. I like how innocent he looks. If you want an honest opinion though, I would do the brows a bit thicker and longer, just to give him impressions. There are plenty of references on different brow shapes and actually your fantasy is the limit :) keep up with the good work, i am loving it ;)
