I've been calling the two distributors for Padico products in the UK. One doesn't answer the phone and the other is unconvinced that laDoll sells well enough to put it on their product range. I'm currently sick of buying from Hobbylink Japan where I'll buy 6-8 bars of clay for about £15-20ish, pay shipping of £40, then get robbed by customs for £20. It's just not affordable anymore! However... There is a dutch distributor which uses weird packaging for their clay. Can anyone confirm or am I going to have to go in there and buy some? I've looked at American stores too; they're far to expensive once shipping is calculated, then when customs gets it that's another £20 bang on top. I was in NYC in Feb and I saw a store called Pearl Paint which sold it. I made them go out of stock 'cause it was so cheap! Now my supply has diminished... T_T Any help or info appreciated. Jphobia x
Hey J, I don't know much (ahem, anything) about LaDoll, but I can't bear to think of your project being put on hold because of low supplies!! :XD I don't know if this is the right stuff, but I found these links: Amazon.co.uk Createandcraft.tv I'm clueless, I thought La Doll was a paperclay... it's a stone clay?? Or is there more than one type?... Anyway - hope you find it somewhere local
>.> Ouch, check out that +£5 delivery. Its still pretty painful but its looking like the only road. v_v And about it being "Stone clay" thats what I thought too, but it might just be muddled in translation. Thank you, Anee~ ;-;
Super late respons! But I normaly buy it here http://www.heins-hobbys.nl/templatehobbyboek/Site06/hobbymaterialen.html I think its the one you mentioned with the weird packaging. But yes its the original stuff it just has a sticker over the top =)
Thanks, I've send them an email. I'll tell you how it goes :3 Also, thanks for confirming it's the right stuff!
it might be worth your while to check out http://www.tiranti.co.uk they have a brick and mortor shop in London but no idea how hard/easy it would be to get to it. I dont think they do laDoll but they have so many different matterials you might find somthing, worth a mention anyway
I chanced upon this old thread and realised I have an update: Heins-Hobbys no longer exists, but the company has been taken over by these Dutch guys here. You still get 30% off if you order in bulk. www.zwanettessprookjesatelier.nl
I bought LaDoll at a small Swedish online shop called Petit Chu: http://www.petitchu.se/produkter/pyssel-deco/lera/ Apparently they ship internationally as well.
