[EU] Dolly Day BCN - VOLKS HONOUR PARTNER - FINAL EXHIBITOR LIST !

Oh, very exciting to hear about Volks! I loved Barcelona when I visited a few years ago, so it looks like I may need to keep my calendar open for a trip EDIT 4 August: Booked my ticket, flight and hotel!

 

Got my ticket and hope I can attend in September. I used to live in Barcelona when I did my teaching certificate at the now sadly closed down International House.

I'm not sure who I will bring along with me. It will probably be either Dollfie Dream Shin Sato or Dollfie Dream Sister Takina Inoue.

 

Excited to hopefully attend this year.

Not long to go now. I've decided to bring Dollfie Dream Ciel. Her default outfit will be great for photoshoots around the great city. She's also not too rare just in case anything terrible happens.

I'm in town for a week if anyone wants to do a dolly meetup.

 

I'm travelling alone so It'd be great to meet some people! I'll be in Barcelona on Thursday and Friday.

 

I live in Barcelona so I would have no problem to meet if anyone would like to ☺️☺️ I will surely bring my Tao Tie of Loongsoul.

I will go and bring my Tao Tie from Loongsoul, I put a picture in case someone recognizes him and wants to say hi I love to meet new people.

Although I am attending as an exhibitor, I would love to join doll meet up (if I have the chance to sneak out lol)!

 

I'm in Barcelona Tuesday until the following Monday if anyone else is around.

I just realised it's a red theme this year so I've switched the outfits we'll take with us.

For regulars is there an area you can sit and chill with your dolls and other doll owners? Or is it the usual comic con type thing when you have to sit on the floor?

We're looking forward to it though... the sales area looks amazing. My girl will probably faint when she sees the Volks stand.

 

They put a floor plan up on their Instagram account and I think there's seating areas on the right of it!

I finally got around to selecting who will go with me (Elvan and Evie!), now just gotta, like, sort out what items goes in which suitcase. And maybe do a little trial-run of the backpack I plan to carry them in XD

 

I'm in Barcelona if anyone is around. The city is fantastic for doll photography. Ciel and I became minor celebrities when we did a photoshoot in the gothic quarter earlier today lol. I'm really glad I brought her. I also brought one of my MDD with me.

Incidentally if anyone is into the anime side of the hobby then there are a tonne of stores a block or two north of Arc de Triomf metro station. One store sells BJD scale katanas - we bought a few.

 

If anyone is looking for a very expensive souvenir for your 1/6ish doll, I found these tiny replica Gaudí chairs in the shop at Park Güell today. Too small for my SD and MSD, but lovely all the same.

 

Ha ha omg don't show those chairs to my Pureneemos!!!

I was thinking of going to Park Güell but have spent most of my time this trip in the gothic quarter.

If anyone's 1:3 or 1:4 scale doll loves weapons then there's a store in Arc de Triomf called Akatsuki that has a huge range of katanas. Hana reckon's this is Barca's best store ever. They're around 15 euros each. As I mentioned earlier, this area has a lot of anime stores, but be aware many close in the early afternoon.



Another good photo spot is the roof of the mall at Espanya. Ciel was overjoyed because a tourist recognised her as being from the Type Moon universe. Sadly the magic fountain appears to be closed for repairs.



Sagrada Familia is another landmark of course. There's a park at one end and a small lake at the other end. Both get insanely packed with human tourists but they're quite good for photo opportunities. We talked to a few people... because large doll .



I'm pretty sure they've added a few more towers since I was here in 2015.

Currently I'm destaining Ciel with benzoyl peroxide creme and the hotel hairdryer, because Volks stainmonster outfit. I should have put her in a bodysuit.
