Can anyone advise me? I know from my seller here on DoA that the parcel containing my new eyes was sent three days ago, the 9th. However, I keep trying the tracking number I was given and Hongkong Post can only tell me it last tracked my parcel on the 9th, EMS doesn't recognise it and Parcelforce can't accept it either. Previous experiences with EMS have shown that tracking is instantaneous (almost) and right up until the package reaches my door, but this is really worrying me. I don't think I have anything to fear from the seller, she's very respected here, does a lot of business and has no complaints at all (I've already checked), but when I've had things mailed to me in the past through EMS, there has already been a connection to Parcelforce i.e. they are alerted about an incoming international parcel and update their tracking to reflect this. This has happened when I've ordered through Dollmore, Fairyland and Volks, so I assumed it would happen this time too. Am I simply doing something wrong with the tracking engine? I've checked Hongkong Post's website but I haven't seen anything about slowing down for Christmas the way Parcelforce and Royal Mail do in the UK. Are eastern postal services mostly unaffected by the holiday? Does Hongkong Post operate on a system where all the post for one country is gathered together until a decent amount can be sent all together? If that is the case it must be that my parcel is sitting with lots of other parcels bound for the UK and it's only a matter of time before they're sent out. It would just make me happier knowing what's going on!
are you sure you have the number right? i was tracking a package for 2 days and getting a "number not recognized" response until i tried a slightly different combination and got an immediate response. i was off by one number. oh, also, my package was eyes shipped on the 9th. the info "is" on the track site, but no update yet.
Unfortunately, this is sad but true. Recently a big company, integrity toys had posted on its own company board the notice that the tracking for EMS by USPS should be not working/avaible till the end of Decemeber....so it's the barely truth.
If it helps, I've noticed the many orders that I have made from Asian countries' are 'untrackable'; I've been given a tracking number and it's not recognised on any of the postal tracking seach engines. I have been told by a few sellers that my parcel with my order will arrive before the tracking number is updated which is usually what seems happen. I've only ever had this experience with seperate sellers and no doll companies as yet.
RA026624958HK - the tracking number. I've tracked it through Hongkong Post which still only says it was entered into the system on the 9th, EMS doesn't recognise it and neither does Parcelforce. Even Googled the number and nothing came up. The number is right otherwise I'd get no response from HKP, and I'm tracking that through a general EMS site. I don't know what's up.
if i can recall, hongkong post isn't like ems...its like a 2-5 weeks delivery ---- ****that is, if im correct**** im not surely positive. I haven't heard or known of any of other mailing systems beside EMS that will ship items withn 3-5 days internationally.
I'm sure my Dollheart Fukubukuro was sent HKP...but I can't be certain. Thanks anyway, I'm just so used to fast shipping I was a little worried when the items didn't arrive quickly! I think I've been spoiled!
The fact that the tracking numbet starts with RA rather than EE makes me suspect your package was sent Registered Post rather than EMS. Reg post will usually take longer and the tracking doesn't update beyond the initial "the package was submitted for delivery" type messages. One reason Reg post takes a bit longer is that the package gets signed for manually at every stop, but this is not relayed into an online tracking system, so to get more up to date tracking info, you'd have to call the Parcel Central (or whatever they call it in the UK) and get them to track the package for you. However I would give it 2-3 weeks, plus remember this is Xmas mail season so everything gets bogged down, before you try to contact anyone about more detailed tracking. This is a page where you would be able to track it, but my guess is it won't update til after you receive it: Royal Mail Tracking
RA most definitely is Registered Mail, my HK ems is all E something so i guess you're looking at getting them on the 15th or so ... it says it left HK on the 9th december
