Your item left SHANGHAI EMS, CHINA PEOPLES REP on March 8, 2010. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later. My doll body has not updated since I got that message Monday. Has anyone else experienced this before with EMS from China? Do I call the PO and ask about it? Do I give it more time, because I have never had this to happen before.
It seems that this is a normal issue with EMS China. I looked at other boards online and they mentioned that sometimes EMS China can take anywhere from 10-14 business days. If you google it, there is a ton of people who have experienced something similar. Other threads about this on DoA have said that your seller can contact the post office officials in 7 days after posting to inquire about where exactly the package is. For what it's worth, mine says the same thing and was posted on the same day. On the Canada Post website it says this: "International item has left the origin country and is en route to Canada."
Thank you! That makes me feel better. I would have searched, but I don't think that's even available anymore...
I know EMS from China was moving very slowly earlier this year. It took me over a month to receive an EMS package from China which was shipped in December. The package was in the queue to leave for the USA for over 3 weeks. Hopefully your wait will be shorter. Hang in there!
For sure! I've heard this about EMS China a few times before, but this is the first time I have bought a doll from mainland China. Hopefully it all goes smoothly. EDIT: Just to update, my doll made it to Canada customs on Friday, so Rynn007 I'm sure yours should be arriving to your customs soon too!
I heard that some people have said that USPS didn't change the status of their items when they reached customs in the US. That could be a possibility. Let's keep hoping the status will change soon!
I recently got a doll via EMS China (to the UK). According to the tracking, my boy spent four days in the air before he arrived at Heathrow. I'm waiting on another package from China at the moment, which is travelling TNT - and that tracking updated to show that the package took two stopovers on the way. I suspect that's what's happening here - the package taking stopovers that don't show up routinely on EMS tracking. I wouldn't worry - it'll get there eventually!
I ordered a doll from China and it only took 3 or 4 days to get here. Perhaps the value marked and the comment of what's inside has something to do with it? Mine was marked as "toy" and the value was only marked at $80, so it flew over here REALLY fast. However, that was over a year ago...but who knows?
Lets hope it's making stopovers along the way. Yeah, it should be marked at least 'doll' but EMS is suppose to be express mail...mailed a week ago, and starting to look like it's traveling by ship!
I sent a Doll head through to the Netherlands a while ago. It was marked Doll Head and had the full price of 500 USD on it (Soom MD heads + wigs= a lot of freaking money). I was trying to cover the insurance thing in case it got broken, so I knew that I wanted it to the girl who was doing my faceup as fast as possible. I shipped it express mail with delivery confrimation ect ect. It took like, 30 days to clear customs. >.>; And that was because the girl harrassed them to no end. Hopefully that isn't the case for you! It was awful.
I received my gal yesterday from Shanghai. Let's hope yours is either in customs or on its way. I've been hearing that USPS hasn't been very good at updating the status of shipments along the way. *crosses fingers*
Actually, it went back to her. I told her I'd need her help, she checked her PO and it had come back and she resent it. Now it shows up as having arrived at 11:30 this morning. The new number does. The old says the same thing it has since the 8th.
