Hi guys some time ago i bought 2nd hand elfdoll Sooah and when i opened the head ( it has a blue tack to keep it together) i noticed that the hook inside her head is loose. I thought it broke out but it's nearly polished and clearly cut out so I'm a bit confused. Can you please tell me if that's how it supposed to be? Do I need to glue it on? Is there a part i don't know about missing? Any help will be appreciated Here are photos PXL-20221014-183409547 PXL-20221014-183443983 Thank you for your help
I have never understood what that thing is for so I just ignore it On my Sooah head I can tell it's a separate part but it's very firmly in place, not loose or anything.
By any chance, is there also a hook of some sort in the head cap? I don't have an elfdoll, but I would assume that this piece is meant to be glued and then you put a string between it and the headcap to keep the head closed.
Yes there is a hoop on the head cap and i know it should be connected with face somehow but my problem is with the hook on the face part. i just thought the hook in the head broke off when i saw it loose, but when i looked more closely i saw it's actually cut out in a weird shape. If you click on the link you'll see what I mean. I just don't know if I should glue the hook or if there's another part that makes it come of and on?
oh sorry I misunderstoof the question! it seems to fit perfectly so I doubt there's another piece. it was probably just glued in originally. That's not uncommon to see especially in older dolls (I can't think of any exemples off the top of my head though). I can only assume some bits are disconnected like that because it's easier to sculpt and/or cast.
@Afi19842003 Here's a picture of my Sooah. (Sorry for the weird color balance lol) I got her secondhand with the magnet mod already done (those grey lumps). The tip of the hook broke off at some point, not that it bothers me because I don't use it. But what remains of the hook is very firmly in place.
Thank you for the photos. I will just glue it in in that case. Not sure how it supposed to work originally... I guess I'll just stay with the blue tack
