Do you think superglue is strong enough to hold the screws in? I was told only epoxy was strong enough when I asked last, and now I read superglue again.

 

So far, Elfdoll hasn't given me any type of resolution that I can work with.

Day one, I left messages on their Q&A with pictures, as they require pictures of the problem before taking action. They were on holiday, so no one got replies during that time. Then they asked for my full name and order number, I replied. Each question and reply was a whole day apart, because they only answer questions once a day.

Then I was pushed back to the second page, and Elfdoll_Oka came through and did her once, daily Q&A answering thing, and since I was on the second page, I was skipped.

I started a whole new thread on the first page. I'm leaving town tomorrow and won't have internet for a minimum of five days.

*sigh* This is starting to feel a bit pointless. I should just do the standard fix and glue the hooks back in.

I had to post on the Q & A board as I hadn't heard a word and my account showed only 'order confirmation" though I ordered my dolls almost immediately after they were available. Anyhow, I asked when they would be shipped and the reply stated they were shipped (that day---hmm, would they have been shipped if I hadn't asked?). Anyhow, I had been away from home for the last two weeks so the delay isn't a problem. Now I that I know that my angel Hailey and the little devil Hansel have left Seoul, it will be only days.

Well, great. I just went on vacation and got a bit of computer time, and naturally I went to check up on my questions at Elfdoll, and not only did they not answer my questions, they don't even have the hit that shows it's been read. I'm at the bottom of the page.

That's... just disapointing. I'm not even going to bother contacting them further. I'm just going to fix it myself and hope I do a reasonable job of it.

T__T I left a message on the Elfdoll Q&A BBS, asking how long Hana would be available.. as I really can't afford one right now, but would love to get one next Spring. They said that as Hana was released in August, and was planned to be a 6 month release, they'll stop selling them in December or January.

I think I might have to put the funds for Rooster's body on hold! This really stinks!

Really? that's so strange O_o' you'd think they'd be around for much longer...how weird! And here I was hoping they'd start making clothes and such for them...

 

It IS strange.. especially as they're discontinuing their older tinies, right? What are they going to be doing? Perhaps focusing on their Rainy Doll instead..

T_T It's really lame, anyway. Now I'm going to have purchased a head this month, will be purchasing a head next month, and then I'll be getting Hana in December.. I hope he doesn't get lost in the Christmas mailing rush!

 

Hmm but Rainman said it took him a year to make these dolls....so a years work and only to sell them for six months? I think it's just really strange.
Maybe they won't be selling them as a full set?

 

Perhaps not.. But they didn't offer me more details, and I don't want to bother them over it. I think I'm just going to have to break the bank and get him now, to avoid any potential disaster.

Turns out they're not discontinuing the original tinys, though that's the impression more than one vendor got from them. Luckily, they'll be around longer that we thought .

 

ah I'm really glad they didn't get rid of the original tinies! they're wonderful ;o;

Oh and, I have no idea on the hana front to be honest. Maybe they'll make different outfit versions for them?

 

OH my XD Could anyone tell me if Bambicrony clothes would fit Elfdoll Hana? ^^; This outfit is just TOO cute!

 

No, Bambicrony is way too big, I believe. Hana fits very well in the Only Hearts Club clothes, (available at Target), feet fit into Tiny Betsy (Tonner doll) shoes perfectly. Hana is too slim for Riley Kish clothes, unless you are handy with a needle. And hopefully when Tinybear's Merry turns up she will start making a whole wardrobe for them!

I'm so happy with them Carrie, they were presented perfectly, their clothes are perfect, everything is wonderful and despite the minor foot surgery I had to perform this morning, amazing. I adore Tea's colour x3 he's my first sort of tan doll, wonderful! And crumpet is very sweet x3 I'm overjoyed. I think my mum was just as excited as I was xD and she was amazed with how small and light they are.

Delivery attempted Saturday, but as I use my husband's office for shipping--no one was there. Alas. Now they have arrived. I am getting my camera ready to open the box.

AnnTagonist--If they are half as cute as Tea and Crumpet, I'll be happy. And oh my gosh--Vlad--AWESOME.

I never got a shipping notice until I wrote on the Q & A board, and then they said she had already shipped--which meant that very day. So I don't know if that was a little push to them to get her out. You could try that.

 

well, thing was that I placed the order the very first day they were avaliable, but didn't pay until September 22nd due to a mixup. [sigh] I had thought that I paid them at the same time that I paid for a couple other purchases, and accidently didn't pay them right away as I had intended. -__-;;; When I asked why they hadn't marked my order as paid for yet, I was reminded that I hadn't paid yet. T__T So I paid on the 22nd of September, and the email said 15-20 days after they send me the "payment confirmed" email, and it's been 30 days now. I don't want to be rude to them or anything, since I took so damn long to pay >_<

 

Be patient. Many of these dolls aren't manufactured until the orders are in. These are fairly small companies for the most part and a lot of work is by hand. Elfdoll will come through. If you want to write to them, be gentle. There is a cultural and language difference as well, and extreme politeness goes a long way. Even apologies on your part for late payment and praise for their beautiful dolls will help them want to please you.

 

this a very good point. elfdoll operate in a country where even slight criticism is very rude, so you have to be careful how you phrase things! It really does help to drop compliments in ^-^
