First: May I just say GOOD FOR YOU that you managed to sneak in an "OT" question before the Moderators found and erased it! I don't have a Picco Neemo body - yet. I want a white one, and those seem to be the more difficult to find. However: I can empathize with you about trying to find an alternate clothing source for ElfDoll tinies. Both ElfDoll and Dollmore Banji dolls are similarly sized and equally difficult to find clothing for because they are so delicately sculpted! I have also had a bit of success with Heidi Ott clothing for 1:12/Doll House dolls (adult sized). You will probably have to hem the dresses and cuff the pants. You might also try the teenage-sized clothing… I think that the P•N clothing would be the right length, but would swim on the ElfDoll's torsos. If you don't mind loose clothing, then it could be a good solution. Spampy (here on DoA, and at her own web-site) makes excellent clothes for just about every kind of tiny, and they're not any more expensive than Azone's outfits. The problem is that she's very much in demand, and sometimes is away doing charity work in Africa and other countries. Another delicate, tiny doll are the SleepingElf dolls. Maybe you can ask the lady who makes those whom she recommends for tiny clothing. As for more Commercial sources: Mattel's Kelly doll clothes fit Banji and ElfDolls width-wise, but the length is too short. I have also had success with the 7-inch Holly Hobby fashion doll clothing on another skinny doll: The Coraline bendy figures (released a few years ago for the movie). Now I am curious about how the H•H clothes might fit on an E•D…
as a continuation of clothes that fit: bratz kids clothes fit well, but too long...I just tend to cut off the bottom of the pants. SleepingElf's artist is Tinybear who also makes wigs. And I can't really remember her name *facepalm* but she used to make fancy little outfits for Ms. Cholong's elfdoll site...does anyone else remember? I think she's still around...I just don't know where. Kitty- love your reason for editing *giggle*
Ooh-ooh, I just remembered: Vintage Dawn or Pippa clothing fits elfdoll, too. They fit the more mature bodies better because Dawn had boobs, too. Of course: Being "Vintage" (1970's) means that you may have to do some searching & waiting to get a decent price on clothing that still had it's fasteners intact, or isn't too torn up. That being said the "Mod" styled fashions are fantastic! Teseya: Yeah, LoL It bothers me to no end when I realize that I've put a comma in the wrong place, or I decide that a colon would look better than a Hyphen. Clearly what I have trouble with is editing for space/time/succinctness EDIT: I remembered that Mattel also had their version of a tiny fashion doll called "The Rock Flowers" that you might try an Evil-Bay search for…
Long time no spam. Changed Kai's eyes and strung on her other hands. Kai isn't a big fan of the pink stuff Olivia wears. Dress by me.
Hi, guys who probably are all girls Sorry for dropping in like this, but small question : does anyone know when the next ordering period is? Did I just miss one? I did check the Elfdoll site regularly but still see only 'soldouties' and I really really really need a Hiro
Hi Laurey! Looks like the last order period ended Jan. 20th. Not sure how long it is usually between ordering periods when it isn't around the holidays. Olivia spam! Just because...
it's aaaages since i last took a pic of Rii, so here is this new one: Riiiiiiiiiiiii by anninaislove, on Flickr she thinks that if she wears her spring dress the snow will disappear and spring will arrive. let's hope she is right because i'd love some warmth and for plants and flowers to come back! we are waving to the girls above us who are so lovely themselves
I've just been looking at buying new wigs for my four girls so thought I'd create this mosaic and add it here so that the thread doesn't get lost in all the other tinies threads! Monnaemi Sisters by dambuster01, on Flickr
cute pictures! I really want a small wig that isn't too heavy for my Olivia. I ended up just cutting a bit of a tinybear wig and gluing it on so it doesn't make her head look gigantic. They are just so .... tiny!
love your mosaic Sharon, your girls are so cute! and yeah bluehaiku, they need some tiny wigs, i'm still not really happy with my Olivia's wig situation, after allthose years still haven't found her perfect one. i do have this mohair i bought years ago, should finally give wigmaking a try!
Thanks bluehaiku. I am totally with you on the wigs. I got my four wigs from Kemper and the three Heidi's are fine, Min is wearing one and I'll have to show her on here, but the fourth wig was weird, just a piece of completely shapeless net with some thin mohair attached! It wouldn't fit on the dolls head because there was no shape to it....so it's gone into the wig box....probably never to come out again! Thanks annina! I am now down to just the three girls because I recently adopted out my Jin. I surprised myself by doing so because I've had her the longest, but I never did want four of them, so I have twin Mins and my Bong now and I'm very happy with them now!
that's how it goes sometimes, Sharon, i'm glad you are happy with your three girls. i actually still have it as my goal to get Bong and Jin sometime to complete my Monnaemi sisters, but i seem to always have other doll priorities that come first. who knows, it may happen in the far away future.
I've had pretty good luck with wigs. Kemper, elfdoll...though I did strip a tinybear to make a glued on wig on headcap for Lynn. I tend to have too many wigs...I don't use them all but they all work fine. I also recently got a Bong, so I do now have all the sister...but only one of each along with my 3 other elfdolls ^_^ you can never have too many...they are just so easy to own. I'll attempt to load new pics of Etsuko's Morikami Gardens adventure soon. She is such a 'Tokyo Girl' I've realized. I love her.
Yes, would love to see your Tokyo girl! I got some cute Japanese style fabric from a seller on Etsy. Very spring timey. I just need the motivation to make something!!
Oops, totally forgot to find time to post her pics. Here is a sneak peak of Etsuko hanging in the spirit houses at Morikami gardens.
Teseya - pocket sized cutie! Is there an archive somewhere of QZ fashions? I tried a rococo dress for Olivia once... would love to see them for inspiration edit- tried google images for QZ fashions and it led me to this. Which is still tiny... and cute.
Hello I finally got some pics of Kai's Head on Hiro's body! The resin mismatch isn't as noticeable with clothes on. I still have yet to attach the old arms onto the new body – Those wrist magnets are awful! I've already lost one set of poor Spiller's hands; Although I have to admit that having interchangeable footwear is very convenient… A Sunny Stump by Mandasmac, on Flickr News on Shoes: Dreadful Spiller is wearing the PukiPuki sized shoes for sale at Ruby Red Galleria!! Ironically: they are about one millimeter too big for Pukis, but they fit Elfdoll tiny feet quite well. I also have a pair of the moccasins, and they also work. Amanda
I love him. And I love so much that he is Spiller (he does need hair now though) ^_^ you know how much I love the Borrowers. I keep meaning to continue my photostories...but I'm still daunted by photoshopping the cat in.
GoodbyeKitty173- Thanks for the info on the Heidi Ott clothing. I thought it was funny that on ebay the clothing is either Victorian or naughty lingerie... Are the wigs way too small for elfdoll? If you have any, are they stretchy enough to fit or be modified?
bluehaiku: Nope - the Heidi Ott wigs are too small for Kai. Try "Teen" sized clothes - especially for the overalls. I have just about given up on trying to fashion a wig for Kai's tiny head. I know that either Kemper or Global sells a line of "Mini Mohair" wigs, and I am going to re-order a wig called "coco" that might be the right style to match the book illustrations, but not have too much hair to swallow up Kai's little face like the Elfdoll wigs do (wish me luck)…
I just was looking up Heidi Ott out of curiosity and found this site: http://www.heidiott.co.uk/Dolls-House-Dolls-Clothes/ I'm pretty sure the heels fit and the lingerie...but what about the men's clothes? Or the hats? (Probably too small if the wigs are too small, but they are so cool). The ladies boots are pretty too...but I don't know if elfdoll feet would come out again. Anyone have more sizing info? such good prices too.
someone told me the Heidi dolls are about 5cm in circumference and about 2.5cm from neck to crown. Thanks for the link Teseya- I thought I read some of the shoes are just decoration and are resin and don't go on feet but I might be wrong.
Hi shibahara I saw some cute clothes at Denver doll Emporium. Just scroll down to the style tiny bits - I don't have any of these but they are on my wishlist. She might have some wigs that fit on the site somewhere. I have given up on wigs other than tiny mohair from Tinybear or default ones from Elfdoll. Elfdoll has some cute clothes but I don't know if they are always available. Some pukipuki clothes look cute on Elfdoll tinies- the dress I have on Olivia on the previous page is a puki puki dress. Just depends on the style or cut I guess. Hope that helps!
kemper makes some size 3 wigs that fit. I've gotten a couple there that work just fine. using white wall tacky under the wig to hold it on is almost a must for any wig that'll fit.
1mim here on the forum makes awesome mohair wigs; it's just waiting for her replies that puts many people off. I sent an inquiry several days ago that hasn't been replied to yet. She always takes a while to respond. But I've ordered from her at least twice now and the processing time is relatively quick and so is shipping. Her prices are awesome, so I guess it's just a matter of waiting to hear back. Also, sherbert on here lists short and long mohair wigs on etsy. And for synthetic wigs the best place to go is facetsbymarcia: http://facetsbymarcia.com/wigshop3.htm These are mostly Monique wigs and lots of them are synthetic mohair, which I personally love. blue, Elfdoll's ordering periods open and close, it's a matter of keeping track. It's either every other month or every third month something like that. And also, with regard to the DollInStyle clothes, they do sell out, so if there is anything ever there that you absolutely want I'd advise getting it asap. I've talked to DDE and typically once a style sells out they don't get any more. BUT, I have seen DollInStyle listed on ebay directly from DollInStyle so it's a backup option.
Hi! I am dying to adopt a Hiro and just wanted to ask - what on earth can these guys wear? They are so much thinner than a pukifee and taller than a pukipuki, and I don't know any other doll sizes that would cater for them. Etsy had nothing I could find.... I am so scared to buy a doll I can't clothe because I can't sew or knit to save myself!!!
Dancecat- did you see the notice on the elfdoll site...they are all gonna stay in stock now...no more ordering periods. enchantedlily- read the last couple pages here, we were just addressing (no pun intended )that. But what I can remember is: bratz kids, Kelly, some Heidi Ott, elfdoll, some banji fit big, some puki fit short, spampy, and some others on DoA too. Hope that gives you a start.
I'd heard about the notice a few weeks ago but the dolls were still listed as sold out so we were waiting for it to "take." LOL
Hahaha oh no!! I am so sorry!! I read the first 8 pages of the thread and didn't find any answers and had to run off to get the kids to bed and didn't check the last page or two before I posted! What an idiot - I can see posts not too far above my question talking about it! Sigh. Sorry. And thanks
DanceCat: Kai's head is 2.75 in. circumference, but she's not as "bubble-headed" as BJD's usually are. Kai has a more realistically proportioned head compared to her "sisters"… Adel & Kai Heads by Mandasmac, on Flickr That's a great site! If you click on "miscellaneous" there are all sorts of super tiny sewing supplies!!!!
Thank you Goodbye Kitty, I appreciate the info and picture! ((ironically those are the two sculpts I'm most wanting)) Shall we suppose that a size 3 wig will fit her fine with a wigcap under? Facetsbymarcia sells the size 3 wigcaps. At first blush I can't imagine capping a head this small and then trying to get a wig on top of it; but I'd guess for a head that's even smaller it might work well, eh?
I know that if the wig fits a puki, it'll be too big for an elfdoll...but they are both labeled size 3.
Teseya: Actually, PukiPuki heads are a 3/4, and are even rounder than an Elfdoll Tiny's head. Here's a pic of the two of them together (I'm sorry the Puki isn't bald, but it's all I've got at the moment): Overload! by Mandasmac, on Flickr
I received my Elfdoll Hiro on 21st April and I can finally answer my own question: Can Elfdoll Tiny share clothes with Azone International's Picco Neemo? Elfdoll tinies' arms are shorter by quite a lot. So long sleeves would be too long, unless one doesn't mind. I have already dressed Hiro in Azone Picco Neemo clothes. The skirt is a little loose around the hips, but looks cute on Hiro, my Hiro is a girl~ Will take a photo and upload it soon. Here's a comparison of their feet, if anyone is interested: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24602835@N03/8673636253/in/photostream/
I am SO happy and excited! I got an Elfdoll Kai today! I purchased her second hand as a full set. She's beyond adorable and beautiful. Though she needs a new wig. Her default just isn't to my tastes, or hers. I'm thinking maybe feathers. Either way, I wanted to share. In the photo she's sitting with my other new addition, a 5Stardoll Batboy in red resin. Also...where does everyone get eyes to fit these little lovelies? I'm not sure her blue are going to fit with the wig I'm hoping to make for her, but am lost on where to look for something so TINY!
Winter monkey- that is an almost perfect size...closer even than Banjis or Sleeping Elf. Where do I find outfits for picco neemo? Love your Hiro BTW...makes me want to take mine out and play with him. Ayas-shadow - best place to get eyes for them is Dreamingtree studios on etsy. She makes Kai's size...6mm with 4mm irises. They are very affordable and she will even work with you on color etc.
Looking at the picco neemo...I just got the greatest idea for my spare Dodo open eyed head. If I could get that body...the neck looks like it would fit...hmmm...ideas...
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/1438/0/1 answered my own question. Picco neemo clothes. they look like (as per Monkey's size comparison) they would fit. They are adorable! not cheap, but so cool! I see some outfits even Mio would wear! and that's saying somethin, since everything I tend to find is usually way too girly for her.
Hi Teseya, Picco Neemo are not resin though. Sorry, OT. I keep playing with my Hiro but couldn't stay awake at night to take photo of her. I had to re-glue 3 of the magnets on Hiro, both the magnets in her feet part fell out, and the magnet on her left hand fell out too. Luckily I was able to find the wee little magnets. Seems like I always have magnet problem with Elfdoll dolls.
Most of my Elfdolls are old style with no magnets...some have magnet feet but most I switched out with old feet. Hero is an exception b/c of his skin tone. and I'm not talking about Pico neemo as a doll, I am talking about finding clothes that fit Elfdoll (this topic) and hybriding a resin head.
Hi Teseya, I am sorry if I have offended you. I said, "Sorry, OT." Because I kept bringing Picco Neemo into this thread when I am well aware that they are off topic, I was apologising for myself, I wasn't telling you that you were being off topic. And I understood that you wanted to hybrid Picco Neemo with a resin doll head, I thought it would be harder to hybrid picco neemo body with a resin elfdoll tiny head, but it's worth a try, I have done hybrid of picco neemo body with another plastic doll before, but the inside of the head is very different from Elfdoll's tiny's head.
WinterMonkey: YES!! I received my Hiro about a month ago, and on the first day of "playing" I lost his/her regular hands! I only have the fist hands left, and I am watching them like a hawk!! Also: recently someone was selling their Hiro, and I tried to get in on the action, if only to have some "spare parts" for emergencies. The seller said that her Hiro had come with magnet feet and HOOK HANDS!! That seems like a great fix to the problem, but NO FAIR!! I WANT HOOK HANDS, TOO I haven't been able to communicate with ElfDoll because for some reason they are not accepting my password anymore. I have sent several eMails to their customer-service person, Oka, but I haven't gotten any replies. Can someone with a working password ask: 1) if the hook hands are the new standard, 2) If Hiro owners can trade in their magnet hands for hook hands, 3) Is it possible to order extra Hiro hands, magnet or otherwise? Thanks, everybody, for your help
My most recent elf doll was Olivia with string on hands. I don't think I would like the magnet hands on her. That was kinda why I was turned off by puki pukis after a while- I kept worrying pieces would fall off and get lost. Would be nice to have the option to choose.
I got the very first release of Hiro...and he came with hook on hands. The magnet hands are a new thing. His feet are magnets. But I haven't had a problem with losing magnets on him. monkey- I wasn't upset with you...just the concept of mods deleting posts for stupid reasons. (Don't tell them I said that). Kitty- thanks so much for your pms. I did post a link of a place in English that had clothes to buy, but I don't know how long they take.
Hi GoodbyeKitty, I will help you ask. And thanks for your PM, I am gonna continue discussing Picco Neemo clothes for Elfdoll Tiny here though, hahah... Hissy fit or no hissy fit. Actually, Azone International started selling Picco Neemo size clothes prior to selling the dolls itself. Teseya did post a link for the clothes, here you go again: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/1438/0/1 I have not tried any of my PukiPuki clothes on Hiro, as I thought PukiPuki are chubbier, I can give it a try tonight if I can squeeze out some time. Now that you mention it then I notice that Picco Neemo normal skin is a good match for Hiro. How about comparing your Kai with a Little Dal? Most Little Dal are more suitable to hybrid with the Picco Neemo whity skin, so if Kai is a good match with Little Dal, then most likely Kai will match with Picco Neemo whity body. Middie Blythe clothes might be too big on Picco Neemo body, thus too big for Elfdoll Tiny, as Middie Blythe can fit into some Pukifee clothes, and Pukifee are huge comparing to Elfdoll Tiny. I have a Middie Blythe, but she is still in her box, but I have a similar size Odeco that I can take comparison photo with my Hiro. I will throw in a few other tinies too for fun. Hur hur hur... Hi Teseya, the site is pretty fast in sending out in stock items, but I am in Asia, so I am not sure how long would it take for their items to reach you or GoodbyeKitty.
This is the reply I got from Elfdoll: Dear WinterMonkey, We couldn't answer for longtime because our office moved to other place. Please let me ask production team that how we can help you. Elfdoll_DK Sigh... as i was playing with Hiro last night, I noticed that the magnet sneakers that I bought along with Hiro are both left shoes. Why? Why? Why???
This is the comparison of some of my "tiny" on-topic and off-topic dolls: From left to right: Wonder Frog Fairyland Pukifee Zoe Odeco Crayon Elfdoll Tiny Doll Hiro Azone International Picco Neemo Koron (Flesh colour) Little Dal / Picco Neemo hybrid (Whity) Felix Brownie Haha (similar in size with Pukipuki) As you can see, Wonder Frog, Pukifee and Odeco are similar in size, so they can share clothes. Odeco is also similar in size with Middie Blythe, so Odeco / Middie Blythe clothes are definitely too big for Elfdoll Tiny Dolls. Last night I even let Hiro tried on an Odeco / Middie Blythe dress and Hiro was swimming in it. I have also let Hiro tried on a PukiPuki / Felix Brownie dress and it's a good fit, just that the long dress became a short dress for Hiro. I purposely put in my Little Dal / Picco Neemo hybrid for skin colour comparison, as Teseya is thinking of making an Elfdoll Tiny Doll / Picco Neemo hybrid. But my photo is not useful, lousy light, lousy comparison.
WinterMonkey: Thank you so much for asking my question at Elfdoll …I have their customer service eMail address, but I never get an answer. Nonetheless, I have sent an eMail asking the very simple question of weather new hands can be purchased for Hiro. Maybe I should also ask about re-setting my password, since I can't seem to remember my security questions
Hello all - my realpuki needs a friend and I think I've fallen for Hiro, but I would want to put him on a shorter body... Neck circumference isn't a problem, but I don't want the head to look out of proportion (Or worse - for the head to look perfectly fine but make my realpuki's head look huge on her body in comparison!) so can anyone tell me Hiro's head circumference? Thanks! (Also is it possible to get him in any color other than homme?)
SwivelChair: 1) Hiro and all Elfdoll Tinies' heads are between 2-3" in circumference. RealPuki's heads are 3.75", the same as PukiPukis. Yes: The RP's head will probably seem huge compared to Hiro's, but that doesn't mean that they won't make a nice pair. (Hmmm: I think I need to go play "musical heads" again… 2) Hiro only comes in Homme skin - for now. I think we are all hoping that Elfdoll will give us our choice on future releases WinterMonkey: If you haven't already, can you please check the Elfdoll message boards to see if they've given any answers yet? Thank you so much for being my go-between
Took my sweet girl with me on a mini vacation to Vegas last week. I still don't know her name, but she totally conspired with Dahlia (Garden of Dolls Nabiyette) to steal first the raspberries out of my drink at dinner one night, THEN tried to help Dahlia steal my dessert, too. Naughty little fairies! http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p28/ayas_shadow/Mealtime Fun/100_2969_zpsa04e9b70.jpg Link to photo with dessert.
