I saw your Hiro on FLickr and definitely think he makes a great she! Such a cute little Elfdoll! Wow! Such a lovely bedroom, little Shanni is a very lucky girl Imajica!
It's been forever, but it was a lovely day and I decided to take pics of Hiro and Gina. I found these adorable boots for Hiro and even posted a gallery thread. teaser: these are the rest: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...alk-in-the-sun.-(Elfdoll-Jin-Del-Re-and-Hiro)
Okay...so the open eyed head on Dodo was not suiting me...so I put the sleeping head on her...then I curled her up in this little heart box. It's actually the box that Luke's loongsoul Jointed hands came in...but she looks so cute all curled up inside it, sleeping. XD
I found these adorable little antique crocheted dresses for the girls. Here's what they're wearing now: Gina looks so sweet. And Lynn finally found a bonnet that fits all her hair and goes well with her shepperdess gown.
Yay! I can finally join this thread Thank you to everyone who answered my questions a while back last year while I was looking into the new Hiro. I took the plunge over Christmas, and my new girl arrived this week. She is so cute! I'm so happy with her. I'm still figuring out her style, but she has been rummaging through the pukipuki clothes to find some interim outfits. A little on the short side, but cute anyway I'll have to make her some more appropriate length clothing soon! Here is Feather: Feather by *alexisbears*, on Flickr
alexisbears, Feather is adorable! And it's such a cute name. I love her room! I adore my elfdoll Mindelre, Erica, she's so tiny and delicate, but there's one thing stopping me enjoying her more. I can't find any wigs for her! Where do you all get your wigs from? She only has her default wig, but that doesn't stay on at all well. Any suggestions about keeping it on?
Welcome to Alexisbears and Feather!!! What a cutie, congrats on her safe arrival. I think the short dress looks sweet on her, well it is still summertime where you are, isn't it? So she can get away with it for now!!! Hi Keri, it's nice to see a few posts on this thread, they are such cute girls and need more attention! As for wigs, I have got mine from a number of sources over the years. I got a Puki Puki one on my Min del Re at the moment, it is really too big but what I've done, and do with most of the tiny wigs, is glue it to the headcap using white craft/pva glue. It dries clear and when you want to remove it from the head, it peels off easily. But because mine are just glued to the headcap, I can still pull off the headcap and move or change eyes with the wig still attached. Here is an old photo of my girl in her Puki wig.....I don't think you'd know that it was too big really. What does a girl have to do... by dambuster01, on Flickr As for where to actually buy wigs, I bought from Monique I think in the past.....but I do believe that DDE have some small wigs, or at least used to have some. It may be worth checking there site.
Hiro makes an incredibly cute girl. Just charming. I am missing my Min when I see your photos Sharon! 1mim makes tiny mohair fabulously fitting wigs. She has a thread on the market place and they are THE best mohair wigs I have ever found. Teseya your girls are adorable. You want to SHHHHH near your fab Dodo and those crochet outfits are so fine and wonderful especially the one with the hood on your Lyn
These dolls are the best, arn't they. Adel was on of my very first BJDs. Love all the spam, sorry I've been away so long!
Thank you for the lovely comments on my Feather Dambuster: I love that wig on your Min. She looks super cool! So much attitude in a tiny little parcel. I'm new to elfdoll tinies, but I did a bit of looking around for wigs for my girl and someone recommended the size 2-3 wigs from Kemperdolls. That is what Feather is wearing - the 'Sarah'. The wig caps aren't fantasticly fitted, but I have stuck mine to her head too. First I did this with eye putty or blu-tack, but yesterday I tried the PVA glue trick, and it seems to have worked The Kemperdolls wigs are mohair, and really pretty cheap on their site - you can get them for around $4 + shipping so not a big deal if you have to replace them or try different styles. I have also heard tinybear makes mohair wigs for tinydolls too - she has some elfdoll tinies. I can also vouch for 1mim wigs - I love them on my pukifee and pukipuki. They really are vry well fitted, so if she makes elfdoll tiny wigs I would definately recommend them. And because I can now... here's another pic of Feather (I so love her!) Feather by *alexisbears*, on Flickr
Just love the name Feather and this sculpt is really well suited to be a girl. I like the dark wig look, too-I think you have captured a strong personality in your styling
Thank you! Yes, it is the default faceup. I was surprised at how finely done it was! Her faceup seems a lot browner in tone than some of the other Hiro's I've seen in photos. I was expecting her lips to be more pink, but I do think she's lovely like this,- especially with her dark hair.
Feather is really beautiful! I love her as a girl! I just came across something I did a long time ago when we were all complaining that Rainman hasn't made us any male dolls for out girls and I just busted up! I hope it gives you all a few giggles again! W want tiny Akando!
That's it! That's exactly what my poor little Della wants: a tiny man, without the funny ears and with "bits".
I love the little Elfdoll tinies, especially Kai, Lyn and Sylf! They've been on my wishlist forever and I stopped checking the Elfdoll site (to stop being mad that I couldn't order one right now ). So I checked the site again today and found all the Tinies sold out!? Please don't tell me that Rainman stopped selling them!
I think Elfdoll has ordering periods. They open up sales to take orders, then close them for a while until the dolls are made.
^ Ahh Thank you for the information! I was having a mild heart attack when I saw all those red signs.
Right now, they are featuring the new Lovely size Soah, but the others will be back at some point. I looked for the schedule on their website, but they have made some changes lately and I couldn't find it. A few months ago, they posted a message about what dolls were available when, but it seems to be hidden.
When I ordered Feather over Christmas, I was told that the tinies would be available again for ordering in March... so assuming they are still on schedule for that, theres not too long to go I have new pics of Feather to share too. I decided to style her as a tiny mori girl, and the very generous Carla Benham sent her a couple of appropriate welcome home outfits. Little Mori Girl by *alexisbears*, on Flickr
They always post scheduals and then they always go off 'em, LOL That outfit is truely, and I mean it, amazing! And like everyone has said, Hiro is really beautiful as a girl!
my poor little boy feels so effeminated now *pout* But he'll be alright...I just need to get his hooves and he'll be boy looking more. I love Feather though...she is adorable! I wish I could do a head switch...but Hiro is Homme skin...not normal skin...and no other elfdoll tinies are homme skin.
Ohhh, I can't wait for Elfdoll start to sell these pretty little dollies! I want Bong sooo much! ♥__♥
Oh, I forgot to show everyone here my Borrower stories... I made 3 photostories with my Elfdoll tinies as Borrowers. Here are the links: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?504160-The-Borrower-(Elfdoll-Lyn) http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...rower-story(Elfdolls-Lyn-Jin-Del-Re-and-Hiro) http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...ller-a-Borrower-Story-(Elfdolls-Lyn-and-Hiro) Enjoy! ^_^ Teseya
Teseya, I loved loved loved your Borrower stories! Yes! for a tiny Tedros too. My poor girl is still moping, waiting for a tiny man. Edit: Forgot to say that little Feather is adorable! I love her as a girl.
I recently re fell in love with my little ones and I had to take them out and re dress them. Hiro was the only one that didn't change...as he loves the Dodo default outfit so much. My favorite new outfits are Mio and Renee's ^_^ they are with me now. Sharing the love.
That is so cute Teseya! I am glad you re-discovered your Elfdoll bunch. Does anyone use wires to pose the dolls better? What kind of wire and how do you do it? I am thinking, if I get around to it, I might turn my Etsuko (Bong Sun Hwa), into a Japanese pop princess or star. Haaa haaaa I think I will take off her faun legs and give that a break. If I get around to it.
There will be a run on pipecleaners at the hobby shops after reading this-I am definitely going to try it, since both my girls are so kicky. My dog actually got one of them and disassembled her, so I learned how to restring the hard way-not knowing what I was doing and on a tiny, too! I thought that would help with the leg issue, but it really didn't fix it by much--so glad I read this thread today-gonna get me some pipecleaners on the way home from work for sure
I get a very narrow pipecleaner, long enough to go up one leg and down the other. I bend that in half and then put it inside the doll's body, with the pipecleaner ends running down each leg. I also hot-glue suede the hip sockets for better traction. All my dolls, huge and teeny, are hot-glued within an inch of their lives, lol. If the pipecleaners at the hobby store are too fat to go down the teeny Elfdoll legs, go to a drugstore or a tobacco store and buy the ones actually intended to clean pipes, because they are very narrow.
I have fallen in love with Hiro's mold recently, but I missed the ordering period... So sad... Anymore Hiro spam?
You wants some more Hiro spam...have some more Hiro spam ^_^ this is an outfit I made for a friend that came back to me...he was my model. Isn't he adorable?! And I'm sure an ordering period for tiny elfdolls will include Hiro.
Hi Girls! So happy to join you in this so adorable thread! I order a lyn doll few hours ago, hope she will arrive soon and without custom fees... ; )
Hi Casa! Welcome. Don't worry too much, she is tiny...so the box won't really be as suspicious as the huge SD boxes. I love Lyn, have one myself so good choice. We'll look forward to pictures...maybe you can help us breathe some more life into this thread again. ^_^
I hope so Teseya! I really like sewing, and my challenge is to sew for a so tiny girl! I think I'll have fun with it! You have 5 elfdoll I think. Do you have a picture of them 5?
Casa - post #89 has Teseya's 5 little ones in it I believe. This thread has lost plenty of action over time. I know I haven't had much time for any of my dollies as I am swamped with real life problems. Did pick up some new dolly clothes that just arrived the other day. Will be trying them on and hopefully posting this week (sized 1/12th scale). They are for one of my off-topic dolls but most of it should be able to be shared with the elfdolls. The body suit looks waaaaay too skinny to fit, but I will try it anyways.
i too am still here, have been meaning to post new photos of my girls but time just hasn't been right yet, and now a trip to my home country is coming up. i'll be back mid September and hopefully posting more to this thread again!
I'm still here too. I'm organizing my doll space so I have places to play and photograph. It drives me crazy to be so scattered. I have dolls all over the place. Still love all my tiny girls, though.
Great! I'm not a newbie alone in this thread! ; ) I think that I'll receive my doll in 5 hours! How difficult it is to wait!!! ; ) I'll post new pictures and hope it will tempt you to come back here again to show your dollies.
Then, she came in my home and her eyes became blue, it was the sign that she was adopted... She told me it was too cold in my house (because of the climatisation...) and put new socks on and a pullover... You know what? I think I just found in love...
oh girls, are you also anxious to break the ears when you put the wig on? And, do you think it's wax that was put to put in place the eyes? Sorry for my bad english... If you don't understand what I say, do not hesitate to tell me. ; )
congratulations on your new little elf, she is very cute! my girls ears are not as long as the new ones, so i don't know, but if they are a little in the way, maybe you can cut a little in the edge of the wig so it can go around the ears and fits on better? in case that is the problem.. i'm not sure what exactly elfdoll uses to fix the eyes, some kind of eyeputty but i'm not the best person to ask, i have never changed eyes but i heard you can also use silicone earplugs, the material can be shaped. all i know is that one should not use anything with oil in it because it would not be good for the resin. have fun with your new girl, and do you know her name yet? i often take quite a while to find their name.
Hello Annina, Yes, it's the problem with the wig, it doesn't fit well and fall, but I'm also afraid to break them because they are stuck in the wig... When I will be sure of which wig I will take, I'll cut. In fact, I change her eyes to put her 6mm eyes. Thanks for the information concernant the oil! ; ) Yes, she's got a name! I wanted a sexy name for her : Lola!
I use wall tacky (white) to hold their wigs on. Even if the wig fits...their heads are just too small to hold them on without it. I've changed eyes before too...but I've just kept the putty elfdoll uses for them...Mio, my Min, has red eyes...which took me forever to find...but I found great ones and extras from Dreamingtree studios on etsy. Congrats on you adoption of Lola, Casa...and thanks for the pics.
CasaDolceCasa: Congratulations on the arrival of your tiny fairy! She's lovely, and even more so with her new eyes I think. The colour really works for her and the 6mm size is perfect. I would second using tacky white glue (PVA) to help with keeping the wig in place. Just a little dab on the top is enough to hold the wig on, but you can peel it off the resin if you need to later. Also, I always use silicone ear plugs in place of eye putty with all my dolls now. It's much easier to use than putty I find, and nice and clear - you never get little putty blobs showing next to the eyes. I am missing my little Feather. She has been staying at my friends house while my lovely friend makes her some boots, but real life is so busy that it has been months since I have seen her. I blame this for my weakness lately in the marketplace... I have a tiny elfdoll friend for Feather travelling home. I am excited to meet her, but I fear she will not be very happy with me when she arrives... I don't have a stitch of clothing for her to wear yet!
Thanks Teseya! I go and have a look at the dreamingtree studio! ; ) Alexisbears : I'm sure that you will prepare her a beautiful knitting clothing as soon as you can! ; ) Which model of elfdoll are you waiting for? I'm preparing clothes as well for my tiny lyn, I began to make a kind of corset. Lot of fun, and lot of pain.. ; ) I'll show you as soon as it will be ended. I also found a great box for the elfdoll to travel : glasses box!!! they are so little ones!
yes, glasses box...I have one for each of my little elfdolls...they are perfect aren't they? and bears -who is it? who's coming to give Feather company? *insatiably curious*
I wanted to poke in and say hi and introduce myself.... I'm Shara and I'm in love with tinies. I currently have 3 of the Elfdoll tinies, Sylph, Adel, and Olivia. I have the older editions of Sylph and Adel and hope to someday find Lyn as well. I have the new version of Olivia but I've given her a different wig. I currently have Dodo on layaway in the marketplace and she will be home within 2 weeks. I'm going to wait for her to get home before I take a group pic and post it. I work full time, go to college full time, and have 3 kids so I apologize if I post sporadically. I love the tinies so much
Hi Sharsachan! Welcome in this thread! I'm also a newbie but with only one doll : the lyn that misses you... ; ) I really 'd like to look at your girls! Come quick little dodo!
Here is my Darling Shanni. My first tiny doll all those years ago. I love her Shanni by imajica63, on Flickr
Doll Peddlar had a bunch of Elfdoll tinys at BJDC, so you might check there for your Lin. Here's my Dodo, Shortie, to tide you over as you wait (she's with Nissa (Sylph) at a meetup) Elfdolls at the meetup by clochette62, on Flickr
