Elfdoll 14cm TinyDoll discussion Part 4

Hey guys, I am still on the look out for a body for my tiny Kai and Lyn heads and was thinking about the Dollmore Banji body. Do you think this would work? It doesn't say the neck size on the Dollmore site but their heads are 3in around, just like the Elfdoll heads. This search is really becoming a pain, I wish Elfdoll would still sell their bodies. Another hybrid options I was thinking about are the tiny Xagadoll body or the Sleepingelf tiny Bracken body. Does anyone own one of these bodies and do you think this would work for the extra tiny Kai? Sorry for barging in with my questions! I just want to finally enjoy my tiny Elfdolls!

 

If you don't mind increasing their overall size, Wilkes tried an elfdoll head on a dollzone body that looked fantastic!

 

I do have a banji but I think her neck is to big...the tiny bracken and moona will fit... but you better ask william he has a lot of elfdoll girls also on Picco Neemo body

Thank you icicle and wilkies, that's too bad about the Banji's neck size. And you're right icicle, that hybrid looks great! Just like a fairy. I was also informed about the new tiny Dollzone kitty body, maybe that would be an option. This is a hard decision lol. I'm not a big fan of the Picco Neemo body with Elfdoll heads, the body is really cute and the proportions are great but the two different materials somehow really bother me. Ah well, I will ask around more and tell you guys what I find out! Thank you again, keep posting your little elfs!

 

I kinda like the Dollzone body...I still have a floating Dodo open eyed head (as Renee uses the closed eyed head) that needs a body...and I will be making some money this summer. Does the neck require modding to fit? B/c I know the Elfdoll tijy neckholes are tiny.

 

I did mod my mins head a long time ago to fit the pukipuki body...but it was to childlike for her....the head could fit a realpuki body but they are so childish....so the dollzone body did fit because her neckhole was already bigger....it all depends on the character you want...perhaps the Nabiyette will fit just like sleepingelf moona

OK I am so crazy for these tiny little darlings. I have tons of Mins and the other sisters but I finally bought my first Lyn and thought she looks like a little fairy or elf and I custom made her a "fairy garden" room to live in using an old American Girl Illuma Room. She even has her own little Koi pond.

After much reading this thread and admiring all your pictures i fell in love with these delicate dolls. I have ordered a Jin del re from Dollpedler.
It will be quite a challenge making her a decent bunch of clothes. I hope she is not too small for me. Is there a shop where i can order her some boots?

Yay, you got that poor Jin on Dollpedler! She's been there for years, she needed a happy home. I got my boots from RubyRed Galleria. Just look at the measurements of their tiny shoes and you'll find a few that fit. I also got crocheted booties from thebeadloom gallery on etsy.

 

She must have been waiting for me. Such a little patient girl.

My order was cancelled. Apparantly she had stains on her head from a hat that she has been wearing. There is another Jin del re on the website, but she is much pricier. So i had to let it go.

 

The stains couldn't be removed? Hidden by her wig, maybe along with a price discount? That is sad to hear that you're not getting the Jin you wanted.

 

yes a price discount and if the stains can be hidden with a wig, or give her a new face-up...not sure how much they wanted for her?

 

Maybe if you ask them for a picture you might be able to work something out.

 

That's not right. They should just give you a discount. Just holding on to the poor doll b/c she has a stain and never letting her have a home is just sad. I agree, email them again for pictures and bartering.

To console myself i ordered a Pukipuki Cupid2. He will make me smile again for sure. Maybe there will be another elfdoll in my future. I think Bong is very funny ( in a good way).

I think she's a Jin Dal Re: and I'm starting to look around to find out what sort of body I can find that will suit her better.
(I think she's a little bit yellowed. but still gorgeous.)

anyone know what size wig she takes, the puki puki wigs are too big.

...and now I have a Kai also, and I don't think she's willing to share a body with the Jin Dal Rei. but I think for now they're doing fine.

my girls inspecting their house...it will take a long time before it is finished (here they are together with murvenart do-mi-sol) and my bracken boy (sleeping elf) will get a place in the house.....wish they would make more elfdoll girls.

 

I've been looking into a dollzone special tiny body for my extra Dodo head. I think the neck might need to be sanded a little...but the proportions are nice. I forgot who's doll I saw a pic of that gave me this info though. When I got Dodo, she was the original fullset (though preloved) and I ended up preferring the sleeping head on her better than the bug eyes...so she has been a floating head for years. I really don't like the childlike pico neemo or obitsu 11cm bodies, so was thinking of spending the money on this body (love the wings):
Doll Parts, Doll Zone - BJD Dolls, Accessories - Alice's Collections
and then getting her customized and repainted, so I like her more.

I actually have a tiny Dollzone and a Elfdoll, and exchanged their heads to see that it look like. So here you go!

I have a feeling that Elfdoll head would look better on Dollzone tiny kitty or Dollchateau ada body... on a tiny SleepingElf, would it not be perfect? I'd love to see these hybrids !

Awww! It's Winky! I love her wig and outfit! She's adorable! Now I realize which doll you used for the head swap...I couldn't place her. I'm used to the old Winky...where she's actually winking.

Flortune -Thanks for sharing. The pic does help lots. Just a wee bit of neck shortening should make it look better. The color looks like a great match. Now you are making me want to get a Dz body LOL. I love your Wendy's outfit. So cute! The wig goes quite well with everything.

nancy_schroeder_ca - You're lucky, the winking head is such a sweet sculpt. The eyes and ears seem different from the open eyes Winky?

clochette - Zibby and Madeline are cuties, and they made great job helping decorating your Christmas Tree!

calliope13 - You're welcome, it was fun to do. The skin match isn't perfect though, my elfdoll is yellowed and the dollzone much more pink in person. But with a little blush it'll be just fine. Thanks for my girl!

 

I think the Open eye and winking heads have the same ears. It may be the angle that makes them look different. Here my open eye head:

 

I believe Clochette had the original Winky and Wendy. They have human ears. The second release was with the dumbo ears (they really are, and that's probably why I didn't want that version). Hair can sometimes cover them though. I know hair can cover my Dodo's obscenely pointy and long ears....

 

Yep, mine are the original release, with the park bench set. Most of my Elfdoll kids are original release, except for my duplicate Monnaemi girls.

My Dodo has normal ears, she came before they began adding the really large ears to all the sculpts.

Dodo is sweet! She is one I don't have.

 

I switched to the sleeping head for my Dodo. The bug eyes were just a bit too much for me...and I got her preloved but fullset, so I could not resist. Here's an old pic of when she was in the greeting committee for my Dollshe Bernard. I love her sleeping head, and her glued on wig is awesome and covers most of her huge ears.

 

Is it safe to say that Rainman is no longer making anymore dolls? I really miss his dolls, at least I have my tinies he made from back in the day.

 

he is currently doing 1/6 scale figures. We all hope he will return to dolls someday. It's worth looking at his current work.

My girls have a new friend! Song (Bong) seems really taken with him, but then she is a happy, friendly little soul!
