Elfdoll 14cm TinyDoll discussion Part 1

Oh, anything to keep the threads about these lovely girls alive! I keep posting in my favorite threads to keep them on top and at the top of people's perception, LOL, so they post more (and more photos, I always hope)

I only have one so far, my version 3 Adel (and I like her faceup very much). Plus I have a Kai on order, well actually on layaway, so it'll be a while

Tickles, who is an ageless pixie, is waiting for her new Tinybear wig, and next Friday, we're going to go to the Elfdoll Showroom and pick up her new lower arm and hand Can't wait, must bring my camera!!!

I had quite a nice normal collection of SDs ..then I saw Sylph ...I wanted her (and a PocketFairy Yoko) more than life itself ...Sylph was the very first tiny I ever had
then I fell in love with Bong ...I knew I was an addict

I own ..or they own me , Sylph , Adel , Lyn, Dodo and the 3 sisters
and have Kai and Olivia on order

would sell my soul for Wendy and Winky ...but hey maybe one day
and I dream of an anatomically correct boy this size

I adore my Elfdoll tinys...they outnumber any other "breed" of tiny in this household.

It was a Sylph (PamSD's Arianna) that motivated me to get my first tiny, Fee. Nissa, my own Sylph, was the second tiny here, and it was all over after that. Eventually Arianna came to live with me as well. I now have three Sylphs, Lyn, Adele, Wendy, Winky, Dodo, Min, Bong, and two Jins (had to have both the happy and worried), with a Kai joining us soon. Amost all have been adoptions.

I had Catsy, Wendy, and Winky in the past but sold all three. I kind of regret that now but they didn't receive the attention they deserved and are in better homes now. I did keep my first Dollfies ever--the Monnaemi sisters. I adore them! Here they are in their NY loft:



I never heard of Ggonzi! Who is she? Any links to pics?

 

I don't own any tiny Elfdolls myself, but I think they are absolutely adorable! My favorite is Bong, I think She has such an awkward cuteness about her that you can't help but love!

Wow, I'd never seen Ggonzi! She adorable!

I wish Elfdoll made more fashions for these tinies. They're hard to dress if you can't sew (like me) and don't like the Bratz stuff.

Now I've got Elfdoll Kai on order and Black Catsy on layaway. But I would love Min del Re at the very least!

I do think Rainman's tinies are my favourite.

If anyone is looking for clothes, Margarita Rosa has a thread and you can commission her. I just bought some lovely clothes for Dodo - a dress, some jeans and a little top.

Annina, I plan on spying over there, LOL and really hope to see a Kai and Olivia! I also hope they'll allow me to take pictures!!! They were closed on friday to "upgrade" displays ( sounds promising!!! Yaaaayyy) I'm going later in the week. I was going to go Friday, but my nephew has a "battle of the bands" that I want to attend. So I'll go earlier, or earlier in the day Can't wait!!!

I concur!! They all seem to each have their own distinct personality--which I think is pretty amazing, given how small they are!

yes Gogonzi has painted eyes , if I remember correctly ...
I think Kai is as close as it can get ..as RainMan did say he would never produce a Ggonzi so

It is funny because in the end I got my original Dodo back from dollseye XD
But her face-up has faded a bit, poor thing!

 

I just got 3 new outfits for a future Banji, but for now, Tickles, my Adel, is modeling them She may not give the pink outfit back though, LOL.

 

Oh Joni, you got a cutie there! I love that outfit! I know it comes with her, but there is so much more to it than my Adel's default outfit!

And LindaKauno, I'm so glad to see more pictures of your beautiful custom - Min, right? Oh she is sooooo cooooool!!! Amazing!

Were you the person who doesn't want to go to Audrey's? She has a few tiny wigs... but they take a while to ship, usually 2 weeks.

 

Ingie, does Audrey ship internationally? (I haven't come across her name before myself). I think Annina is finding that the cost of international shipping from BJDollarama is rather high at $20...

Which leads me to ask whether anyone has managed to change Dodo's wig? I've never had the nerve to try and get her head-plate off!

 

Oh shoot, I forgot I was supposed to ask for headcaps when they were taking orders for tinies again (I asked on the Elfdoll forum). Now I'm completely broke again (not good with money obviously) and I can't ask

Looks like it's next time for me!! Wonder why they don't offer them with the feet and hands??

 

YEah , my Sylph has worn a lot ...but I am very hard on her ...I think this week I will treat her to a bit of an inhancement

I've looked to see if anyone else had these tiny wigs and I have not found anyone else. I did recognize that the "Cute Little Girl" wig is the same one for MinDelRe only with shorter bangs.

They also sell other wigs that are used for the Elfdoll tinies.

Wish I could find the one that the new OLIVIA is wearing. I just love it!!

Must be because it is going overseas to you that it is $20 shipping. She's probably shiping Global Priority Mail.

Recently I bought 2 wigs from BJDollarama and shipping was only $5.60 Priority Mail but that's here in the US.

Regarding shipping costs being calculated and charged at the time of shipping, "This also applies to international shipping." So I'd have to assume that they do??!!

They are very cheap too, but the super small sizes are limited... let me see if I can remember the wigs that come super small... Will edit post ...

So no-go for Elfdolls

 

Elfdoll tinies are my absolute favorite dolls. Here's my herd as of right now (except for a newer Sylph who is missing from the pic). My newest Min might get adopted to help pay for my Kai and Olivia that are on order!! I also might have to part with my newest Adel (purple hair) so I can keep affording tiny elfdoll new sculpts! Since they are duplicates of ones I already had - it's a little easier to put them up for adoption.

I did at one time own an older Sylph and a Dodo which were sold. Of course I regretted it after, but at least I know they went to good homes. Charley (my first Adel - far right in pic) is not only my favorite elfdoll - but my favorite bjd doll out of all of them I own.

PS - Checked quantities on Elfdoll site and there are 3 Kai's and 2 Olivia's left if counts are correct!

 

Oh gosh, almost sold out !!! I guess it's pretty certain that I won't be able to get an Olivia, LOL, definately won't last into the summer ;P

Dena, your Jin is so much darker than your mins, is she a special color?

Sweetie , Elfdoll sold the head caps ...but didnt sell them with the hair on ...
you had to wig them yourself ..but its quite easy ..honest
but Im not sure if you can even get the caps now .

I used to make them , when I fancy a change I peel the hair off ..if the layer of glue is thick enough it acts as a scalp and the hair shaft embeds into it ...so if your carefull it will peel off in one peice
now I just use the ones I make ...but Bong still has the mohair bob I made her ..5 years ago

I have bought from Audrey's before but what would put me off buying again is that you don't get to see what the shipping is, it's just added onto your credit card, and I found it very expensive for what amounted to a couple of wigs and a pair of shoes....

 

you know I didnt look ..I think it was about $17.00
but I did order about 15 pairs of eyes
what I did get this time was a £16.00 Customs charge ..on a bloody envelope !

so my reasonable price eyes ...now arnt ..
so I guess I will try and find them in the UK ...I was so miffed

My in-laws live in a really cool house designed by one of Frank Lloyd Write's disciples back in the late 60's / early 70's. My Mother in law furnished the house with beautiful modern furniture. The library has two Eames loungers, the family play room has two Corbusier loungers and Platner chairs in the sun room.... so when I saw the miniature designer chairs that you can get, I got to thinking, I NEED to make a doll house representing their house for my tinies! So many things they have inside their house are represented! The rest I can "fake" LOL. So I'm still designing the actual structure (more of a collection of room boxes) and collecting the chairs!

Alos, Tickles got her BlueDollyKiss outfits today!!! Yaaaayyy, so she gave me back the pink banji outfit (so my future Banji can have it). So here are the pictures I took today :









I think she looks great! Thanks BlueDollieKiss! I still need to leave feedback but I'm late for a family get together, grrrr always so much to do!

Anyway, the Eames lounger almost looks the right size, but she can't sink into the cushions, since they're hard plastic, LOL, and I think that makes her sit up taller than I'd want her to. But you really can't beat these chairs for style (though they are a little bit delicate, not for kids!!!)

Thanks Linakauno! I love it too. But I really don't know where to get a credenza of the right style in 1:12 scale! But I found some tables on ebay that are exactly the kind my in-laws have in their living room, I'm really close to being "there" as they have a few generic items and I found a chair on ebay that, while it doesn't look like their mod chair in the living room, does the job design wise, and then there are two simple upholstered blue chairs that I shouldn't have trouble finding. I'm fudging the family room, and actually just using two halves of the living room as two rooms for my doll room boxes, that and an entry and only maybe a dining room, but I don't think I'll ever find anything that'll work for the dinning room, so I may cut that idea out :P But the stained glass in the dining room and built in china cabinet is kinda neat o, LOL

Anyone know if changing out my Adel's eyes to something else would help them photograph better? I mean, she never has a pupil! The flash does weird things to her eyes. Or do I simply have to photo outside?
