Narrative Elf on the Shelf bjd style

I want to thank everyone who read along during the Christmas season. I had fun but it was a lot of work! I needed a bit of a break afterward. I finally got around to making Flame something new today. He's pleased with his little bear costume.

 

Thanks for following along Teddy, El, and Auntbear. Just got notice that my Mari is finally "before shipping". Yay! When she arrives she'll be bringing Flame's male body and swapping out for the female body Flame has been stuck with so far.

 

A Body Swap

A small box arrived from Korea today.



Neelie, Flame and Peanut were eager to check it out. Especially Flame. He had an urgent reason for wanting to free the contents.



In fact he was rather impatient when Peanut paused in the unwrapping to look at the unfamiliar Korean writing on the newspaper used as packaging.



As Peanut and Neelie struggled to dig out the pretty Fairyland Littlefee box Flame was no help at all. He was too busy ---- ---- ---- ----



---- ---- ---- undressing?!!



Neelie was horrified! Just when they were trying to make a good impression on the new arrival Flame had to go and do something like this!

 

Peanut, on the other hand, didn't notice. She was too busy reading the new comer's Certificate of Authenticity. I think she's a little jealous. She's old enough that she was born before Fairyland started providing these certificates.




Flame urged Peanut to just forget about it and get on with the box opening. He said he'd been waiting far too long to put up with further delays now ---- ---- ---- and he continued to shuck his clothes.





For you see Flame knew something about this new "girl" that the others didn't. He knew she would arrive sporting a brand new BOY body ---- ---- ---- for him! And he was all for making the trade as quickly as possible.




Once he got settled into the body of his dreams he passed along the older, slightly used FEMALE model he'd been stuck with these past few months. He could hardly wait to run off to the bathroom to try peeing standing up.



On the way back he stopped by the clothing box and dug out the dress and leggings Auntie Ban sent. He knew for certain that they were comfy and would fit perfectly. He had tried them on that body already you see.

The new girl thanked him for the clothing but shyly asked about the lack of hair. Trust a boy to forget about something like that!



A wig was found and then, feeling a little more at ease, she announced that her name was TINGLE.



Flame took Tingle by that hand and gave her a guided tour of the Tulusson family shelf.



Flame hopes they will be great friends.

 

Sitting here now eating one of those Mason Jar Salads now. I've been so busy about the only time I get online is when I'm having lunch. I've been sewing a lot this week but mostly for myself and none of it has made it to my blog yet. Hopefully when I'm finished with a few 'people sized' projects I'll have a little time to sew, knit, and crochet for Flame and his new partner in crime, Tingle.

She will be going to Ban's Boutique eventually but I haven't yet worked out the "when" with her. I usually send a little something along for her dolls when I send out the faceplate for painting but I just haven't had as much time as I'd like lately.

 

Sing with me: "Oh it is the Christmas Season so there isn't any reason you can't dance the Christmas polka" -- er -- I mean -- recycle a Christmas themed thread!"

Many of the dolls from the original, 2015 thread have moved on, but Flame is still here, and he has been joined by Tingle.

Edited to correct: Oops! As pointed out by Ban Sidhe, this cute little gal by Flame's side is actually TRIXIE, not Tingle. Tingle was an earlier faceplate and character that didn't "stick".



They are busy getting ready for Christmas 2016. The first few Christmas cards are starting to trickle in.

 

Sorry to say he isn't having nearly as much fun this year. I've been so busy and distracted by other hobbies that I haven't spent much time with my dolls in months. If it wasn't for my 9 year old grandddaughter repositioning him each time she comes over his Christmas photos would be taken in his Halloween costume!

You know, that WOULD make an adorable photo or even a photo series. Will it happen? Probably not this year.

I'm so sorry to disappoint everyone. This year Flame will be lucky if he gets a photo or two before his tree must come down and be packed away until next year.

I bumped the thread in hopes that, just like the old time Christmas carols, some enjoyment might be had from simply revisiting them once again. Honestly though, I used up almost all my ideas last year! I'd be hard pressed to think of something original for another 25 day run.

Aww, thanks so much. Even though I don't spend much time with the dolls, I do enjoy their darling, mischievous faces and the realistic poses my granddaughter comes up with.

 

It is "next year" now. Just sayin'.

 

Ooops. I do that more often than I'd care to admit. It's not so much that I don't remember her name, it's more like calling your children by every name including the dog's before you get to the right one. The names Tingle and Trixie are a little too similar as well. Maybe I can be forgiven my error since the body was originally Tingle's. Well -- wait, *snork*, in the VERY beginning it was Flame's, wasn't it. LOL. Body swap blog post.

 

LOL, maybe! If a name that is substituted for the proper name is any indication.

Thank you. I wish I had more time and energy to devote to a continuation of the story this year. It was fun but all the photography, editing, and then writing of story lines was a TON of work!
