Wearables Eleos - making an angel

So I'm going to be making an angel out of my newest boy Eleos. An angel of healing. His sculpt is a Migidoll Ell on a Migidol 65 boy body II.

Here he is:


And currently he's not wearing his angel outfit obviously. But gladly he isn't naked. So what I'll be making are these challenging things:

- Wings [done]
- White pants [done]
- Long blouse with pearl trim [done]
- Overcoat with coloured lace [done]
- belt [done]
- earring [done]

I'll update this post with how far I am. And progress will be posted below.
I'll have to take his wig to the fabric store to try and match the colour with it a little bit.

Here is a picture I just finished for his design:

 

Okay so I figured out the fabrics,

Coat: white suedine, and purple brocade edges and lining.
Shirt: white satin
Pants: white Lycra

Decorations didn't come in yet, but I think I can make everything else already and don't have to wait. The first step though night actually be the wings...

 

So I was excited to start. The first thing I did was sketch wings on paper. I cut them out and checked whether the size was good with Eleos. Naturally the wings will be bigger when there are feathers attached.


The next step was to cut them from foam and sandwich wire in them.


I measured where the wings should be, and drew circles on Eleos' back with pencil. I added magnets to the wings. Stuck magnets to Eleos' back with hot glue because that's the safe glue from what I heard. BUT SAD LIFE!! My magnets were too weak. I ordered new ones now that are hopefully stronger. XD So we're on hold until the magnets come in. If they end up being too weak too, I'll probably use another method than magnets, but I love the idea of easy removal of the wings, and him being able to wear them while not wearing clothes, despite my design. I might make a different design, you know.

 

Alright. I abandoned the magnet idea. I adopted tiny strings as a better plan. So I attached the wings to each other with wire in between and attached ribbons.



Next step was feathers and glue. Soooo many feathers omg. And so messy. But fun to do.

 

Second wing ended up slightly bigger. Attempting to do it symmetrical, but hey. Pretty good.



And Eleos is an angel!! Attaching the ribbons to his shoulders will take some practice. Took them off again because it won't be easy making clothes for him with wings on.

 

A friend suggested to make a hole in the back of the coat and pull the strings through. I was thinking about doing that.

I made my pants. The fabric is slightly translucent. Oh well. Sexy angel then. :P I also made the patterns for the shirt and jacket already. Just gonna sew them together and see whether they'll work out.

 

Progress on Eleos' blouse finally! I haven't finished putting snap buttons and decorating it yet, but the blouse at least is mostly done. It'll get lots of details. Can't wait to finish the entire outfit actually. I finally have all materials so it should be possible to do it soon.

 

Alright!! I finished the blouse. Lots of work by hand of course. And I'm happy with the fit too.



I also did the earring that I didn't want to be an actual earring. So instead I attached it to the wig instead.

Last up are his coat and belt. But I haven't done them yet. I hope my patterns are alright. XD
