I was wondering if anyone knew where to find pattrens for gothic lolita outfits, weither human or doll sized? what I don't need: patterns in japanese. therefore, unless you have a translation, scans of the lolita bible, lolita bible extra are useless. suggestions to go places without being given links.
I assume you mean free patterns online? Because the Gosu Rori mags are just patterns, and one of them had some SD size patterns.. But online stuff, I have no idea, sorry.. *laugh* ops:
the gothic and lolita bible "extra" is nothing but a pattern book and craft ideas. so if you want lolita patterns then thats about the only thing i can recommend unless you can draft patterns yourself
http://www.fujisan.com/online/elistup?category=901~s312-01000001858-1e~ the gothic and lolita handmade books as well as the bible extra are all patterns and stuff.. i think it was gosurori v.4 with the sd sized patterns..
this is a difficult request, since most bjd patterns are not in english, and you don't have the skill to assemble them without instructions, i'm guessing you aren't up to adjusting and altering simple patterns into pretty loli ones.
I think what you might wat to do is actually find a pattern and see if there is anyone here that owuld be able to help you out with speicifc things you nee to/would like to change about the pattern, or help you out with the steps of the pattern itself. I could help you on some patterns if you couldn't find anyone, so if you find a pattern you'd like to use that isn't in english, I'd be glad to try and help you out!
i think someone on ebay sells them else www.volks.co.jp sells the offiical dress pattern books hpe tat helps
who said I wanted simple pattrens? those I could do easy. but if I 'm goign to try a bodice with boneing or a dress with complicated ruffles or tailoring on a jacket., goddamit, I want instructions. esp if there's a certain way the pattren has to be cut. so instructions can be useful. thanks brent! I may contact you with a page I found. I didn't think of volks, I'll try them and e-bay.
Have you checked the costume section of regular pattern books? There are many that could be adapted by changing the length, adding sleeves, ruffles, lacing...not sure what exact look you are going for, but here are a couple of ideas: http://www.mccallpattern.com/cat/40000/itm_img/M4622.jpg http://www.mccallpattern.com/cat/40000/itm_img/M3674.jpg A lot of the Victorian styles should work, or a square dance dress pattern would probably be almost exactly right. Good luck!
If you do choose to use a human sized pattern, a good site for changing the pattern size is http://www.dalerae.com/Enlargepattern.htm It gives you all the instructions you need to make the perfect, detailed pattern in the right size!!!
