These pictures really "cracked" me up, especially the brown egg one. Now you need a blue egg! My husband said you need a yolk of bondage.
lol These pictures are wonderful. Nice to see people with good humor with their photosets That mushroom is really adorable. Do you know where its from?
@popuko , yes, they can be adorable, but also a bit devilish @jhiggi , I waited years for the company to finally come out with a brown egg, but I would also love to see them in Easter egg colors (not about to dye them myself). I don't know about bondage but things have gotten a little kinky... He's baking a cake. by Nadine, on Flickr @hiyonoxd , thanks! Kurt and Achilles like your avatar. @Rabbit-moon , I just acquired the microphone from Dollmore. It was very reasonably priced and I thought I might have fun with it. I didn't realize it is actually functional! @animemom , thank you, sometimes the title helps explain the picture and sometimes the picture explains the title! @sweater , the mushroom is from Cocoriang. Probably not on-topic here but the eggs are so he's okay.
Omg I see this bjd for the first time, so funny, you can let your imagination run wild And what is the name of the company ?
@animemom , this is an older pic, but every time I think I've used up all the egg-related terms and puns I find a new one. @Hachiko-chan96 , the egg, Humpty-Dumpty is sold by Soom--Neo-angel Region or Gem of Doll. They tend to re-release him every few years. I believe he is actually available at the moment.
These are adorable! I need that little mushroom guy too!!! But idk how to find the mushroom man I don’t know at all about those. The eggs are cute also! I could def see them in diff colors for Easter in a basket!
@Masteryoda , I've never had any trouble ordering directly from Cocoriang, but I notice that the mushroom is sold out. Looks as if the eggs are sold out too, but they'll probably be back in a year or two.
Thank for you letting me know...I am a bit confused as to how releases work with Soom. I also missed Zard the Dragon and I want one in the future if they release again too. Does Soom regularity release the same things over at different times of the year? Like the eggs, are they usually back every year or so? Is the dragon back every year or is it just a one time thing? and the other company were the mushrooms just a one time thing or are they released in intervals? Sorry so many questions. Thank you for your help. I’m just really interested in these guys. Maybe it’s because you did such a neat job with the photos but it makes me all the more interested in the little unique bjd.
@Masteryoda , I only know that the egg has been released every year or so since before I first was aware of him in 2017. I don't know about any of their other sculpts. As for Cocoriang, I'm not sure about them either. But they appear to have removed the mushroom from their site which is unusual because most companies leave their dolls up even after they are sold out. I was just looking at him the other day and now I can't find him if I pull up their site and look. However, I still had him up in a tab I had left open previously and he shows on the copied URL. See if it works for you. It won't help you to buy him but you can at least get his info. Phoja
@Katiebob , yes, the egg, Humpty-Dumpty, was an inspired sculpt. He's simple but has a ton of personality.
So cute! Totally love seeing the egg ones, but that mushroom one is pretty awesome one as well. Love that perfectly sized beach chair the brown one is sitting in. Thanks for sharing!
@Ligaya24 , That beach chair has been around for awhile, a left-over from the Beanie Baby craze of the '90s.
You already know how I feel about your Egg-o crew. Love having the pics here in one place! Will you add more?
WOW I have never seen these little buddies before and they are SO CUTE! Thank you for introducing me to them
@minifee-mama-2k21 , I'm glad you like them. There are so many unique and amazing sculpts out there, many more than when I started in the hobby.
I'm not usually into "cute" sculpts, but those eggs are really lovely! How do they pose and how can be restringed? Do they have a body cap on the back?
@lytits , the eggs can be more or less cute depending on the face-up. I think you could make one downright sinister if you wanted to As for posing, there aren't many pieces to pose. They can stand if you balance them just right, and it can help if you put shoes on them. I would imagine restringing wouldn't be too difficult as there aren't that many pieces, but there is no cap. So changing eyes is a bit tricky. You have to pull him open at the crack with the resistance of the elastic and reach in blindly. Unless you are willing to restring just for eye placement. When I got my first egg I put in the red eyes just to try them and decided, "That's it, I'm not doing that again." But I'm glad it turned out that way for all my eggs because they have such personality that changing their eyes once they're in would seem almost ghoulish.
@Katiebob , @lytits , yes, the eggs are adorable, but as you can see, they can also be pretty bad-ass. Bad egg by Nadine, on Flickr
