Ed's in-progress Automail

Ooooh my gosh, I LOVE this! ^o^ I made myself a human sized arm automail for fun (I'm a dork, hehe~) and this is awesome. 8D It looks very nice. ^w^

I actually need something like this done to a Dollshe boy's arm... One of my characters lost his right arm and has a neat mechanical one in it's place. Problem is it need to be detachable. (I don't think that going to happen though, ;o; )

But it looks very nice! 8D I love FMA~

Mmmm so many pictures of shirtless Ed...huh what...oh right right the automail it looks amazing so far, as you said it still needs sanding and what not but what you've got there looks pretty good. I can't wait to see the next set of progress shots (or to see it when it is all finished).

Woo! Good luck with your project!! I recently got a cp Shiwoo to be an Ed *hopeless fangirl x3* and my El's being turnt into Roy >0> x333 Just waiting for all his eyes, wigs, face etc to be done.
I did want to make him automail too! Buh I been trying to work out a way to do it cause I dun wanna do anything too permanent on him :<

lol they can! As soon as I got Ed home, I stood him up next to Roy to see how short he was xD and he decided to headbutt Roy xD then he knee'd him in the crotch xDD I thought they'd be all cuddly together but all they done so far is abuse each other xDD

Ahh I'm going to Japan Expo in july buh I'm in the UK ;_;
buh on a lighter note, Roy's wig came today xD I was literally taking pics of them just now when the camera died :E So it's gotta recharge them I should have something ta show x3
I'm so glad both of them are living up to their personalities xD

really cool so far D: just a tiny crit though. Ed's automail is meticulously created, and the edges for the grooves you've made are not quite straight. I think it would look even more awesome if you made the edges and things more straight/even.

 

Keep up the good work, It looks nice so far. And I hope you are using pictures that show alot of details when making it. ^-^;

thats really kewl! i was wondering how you would go about making automail for a doll. the maerial youre using to make his automail, does it not break off from the resin ?

 

It would come off only if you pried it off with a crowbar, I believe; epoxy bonds really well to resin

 

Cool! Are you planning to make the later version of his automail as well?

And let's hope Ed doesn't get this broken as often as his manga/anime counterpart... XD
