    2. Here is what I have....
      Left to right: "Mia White" (resin matched, matches well with its Mia-white-matched head from another maker)... Shoushoudoll "MDD half white," DD semiwhite (vinyl). Nothing yellowing. Just kidding, this DD hand was slightly yellowed, see next post
      Top: flash, Bottom: no flash
      Sorry it is dark here already so the bottom image is a slightly darker impression than real.

      Edit: I goofed, see next post for the comparison between SSD resinmatched semiwhite and Volks vinyl semiwhite
      Mia is much lighter than both but not paper white.
      Still waiting for my Mia pink matched doll to arrive so sorry that I can't compare it with real or emulated semi white :sweat

    3. Well, what are the odds that when I went to return the DD hand to its home I realized it's my only pair that's yellowed :abambi::abambi: oooooops
      Let's try this again, SSD MDD half white and DD semi white, seriously for real not yellowed this time. Still slightly different, Volks is a bit darker than the SSD color match.
      So even if the color match ended up closer to real semiwhite it wouldn't match well with Mia white.

    6. Thanks for the reminder. My Mia Pink matched head did finally arrive. It's a pretty decent match. Not perfect but I think good enough. Sorry for the bad lighting and camera situation again. Parts shown on white copy paper. I brightened it in the middle pic to bring the paper closer to white...

      And and update to my query below... the half white is MDD half white (not Mia). So in order:
      Mia White
      MDD half white
      Mia Pink

      As now getting confused between Mia half white and Mia Pink. I have just received a body which is a very close tone and colour to my Mia half white body from last year. And would like to know people's experience with Mia Pink. I have looked through the market place and seen (camera and lighting aside) what looks to be differences between Mia Pink is different sales posts. So now confused as it seems to differ a pink normal to a very pale pinkish yellow white :abambi:

    10. I am not sure tbh, must be a Chinese bjd company which is used to standardise a couple of resin colours/tones. Like how Chinese makers use Soom.

    11. Mia is Miadoll or Mia's Baby Doll, a very popular dollmaker who mostly sculpts 1/4 and 1/6 childlike heads.
      Because her dolls are so popular, lots of other dollmakers have started using her colours as a standard.
