Just adding to the positive feedback; I've ordered twice from releaserain over the course of a year and a half, and had absolutely no trouble. In fact, shipping surprised me with its speed. I'm used to Hong Kong sellers sending out my order "sometime" unspecified and it showing up anywhere from 4-6 weeks later. In both cases, my order arrived at my door in just under 2 weeks, for a remarkably reasonable shipping price. I agree in that there was no fraud involved here; nor was there a problem transaction, as all transactions reported here were satisfactory. If anything, the issue was a copyright one for IMAGES and has been resolved. Nothing sketchy going on here!
Exactly. Thank your kcurry9 for further clarifying the point of questioning the ethics of continuing this misleading thread. Especially since it is so long now, most people won't read the entire thread- as we are seeing.
Okay, just keep in mind that I first posted this thread a year ago. This was before the forums were revamped with all the different sections, so when I posted it, it was probably in a perfectly fine place. Obviously, in the past year releaserain has changed his/her/their practices so obviously, the thread is no longer accurate. If people have a problem with it now, stop whining about it and just request the thread to be removed or deleted. That's all anyone needs to do. Harping on the inaccuracy is not going to magically make this thread disappear. Sheesh.
Ummm.... Excuse me but I don't whine. And I have suggested that the thread's title be changed twice now. I assume mods read this thread from time to time,or would that be presumptious of me as well? There is really no need to get defensive about it. I'm sure you meant well at the time you posted your question a year ago. Like you said, things have changed and some of us were just making observations about the changes and making the suggestions that you called "whining".
Oh, man, I practically swear by Releaserain! They're one of my favorite sellers (along with Mimiwoo X3), and I've never, ever had a problem. My stuff always arrives in about a week after it's been shipped, and the prices are actually pretty reasonable, too. I'm pretty sure they do custom clothes orders, too, as long as you provide them with decent references; I'm not sure if they're able to work off of drawings, though, but I hope they are - I have a lot of costumes and clothes I'd love to see made! In fact, I just bought a couple things from Releaserain for Antonio the other day.
Kcurry9, there's no need to be offensive. That kind of behavior just gets threads locked. But considering that's just what you want, you'll likely keep on doing it. I happen to consider copywright infringement a very troublesome thing. Especially the fact that they used another company's pictures. They may have stopped doing it now, but that is the kind of behavior that may give some people second thoughts. And yes, I have read the entire thread.
I meant no offense to you, nor did I attack you personally. I am merely concerned that a good honest seller's reputation is being smeared when people make assumptions based only on the fact that this thread is listed under Problem Transactions. I am glad that you read the entire thread, but I am afraid that many others won't. It appears that clothing, apparently including doll clothing, is not copyrightable. Therefore, there is no copyright, and there can be no copyright infringement. So there is no illegality in making closely similar doll clothes. It does, however, appear to be an ethical "gray area" that each of us will have to decide for ourselves. There was also the use of "hijacked" photos, which Releaserain stopped doing as soon as the problem was brought to their attention. I agree that there are issues here that needed to be aired, and that each member needs to decide for themselves whether they wish to do business with this seller. I am only questioning that the thread is listed under Problem Transactions, not that it exists at all. And I feel that I need to say something when anyone posts remarks that make me think that they might be making some erroneous, and unfair, assumptions about problem transactions that don't exist.
I ordered a pair of tennis from her and they arrived safely in two weeks as promised. She even answer all my questions and always bring new stuff in fair prices. She even told me that they were going to release tennis for 70cm because people were asking for them. I'm glad that they take in consideration the clients needs. I can't wait to see the new tennis. I want a few of them for my male dollmore models
As a member who is, herself, listed under "Problem Transactions" I wish that all "resolved" issues could be removed from this particular forum. In my case, the issue was actually already resolved when my "friend" made his complaint post. And our transactions had nothing to do with DoA AND involved a "banned" product, but the Mods decided that the thread deserved to remain, though they locked it when they realized that everybody had been refunded their money. I think Releaserain HAS cleaned up their act, and deserve do have their good name restored IN THIS FORUM. As long as this thread exists, it won't happen. I ran across it and had to read it just because I HAVE had excellent dealings with them in the past (not dealing with counterfeit items) and was surprised to see them in the list. xoxoxo Maggie
I also feel this thread doesn't belong under problem transactions anymore. I was almost put off ordering from this seller because of it. In the end, I placed two orders with them as they sold some tights and underwear that I couldn't find anywhere else and I was very happy with the service and the quality.
Ordered from them over Christmas, fast shipping and great quality on their products. 8D The SD-13 van's....
I see that the thread has, in fact, been moved over here to Company Feedback. And I'm *delighted* to read through it and see all the positive strokes. I'm an example of someone who has been about to do eBay transactions with this company but didn't simply because of this thread. And no, I hadn't read it all up to this point. It was its move to the simple "feedback" area that prompted me to read all of it. Woohoo! Shoes, here we come.
I highly recommend this seller also! the products are lovely and shipping is fast. Plus the wigs and shoes I've purchased from them are fantastic quality for a decent price.^^
I just received two pairs of shoes and three pairs of stockings from Releaserain. The items are all in good condition and as advertised except maybe the the girl boots I got are so huge they'd probably fit my boy. They shipped super quick too. There's a problem though. All my items smell really bad, kinda like they've been through a fire except that can't be it since they're not damaged or discoloured at all. Has anyone else encountered this? I'm letting them air out and I can still smell them all the way across the room, Ick!
No bad smelling items here, but one recently received discoloured item. (Hopeful happy ending, though - skip to end of post for the positive bit!). I purchased a pink/white stripe halterneck top from Releaserain, plus a few other items. The stockings etc. were all in fine condition - fast shipping too. (Although the lack of an invoice or any initial communication prompted me to add an enquiring post to this thread a little while back). Unfortunately, the pink top has very visible dark vertical marks running across both the front and the back I e-mailed Releaserain with some photos of the garment and a polite e-mail drawing attention to the marks. *Positively*, two days later, she replied with an apology and said that a replacement top would be mailed out free of charge - which was decent of her. I received a generic 'your parcel has been despatched' e-mail today, so we'll see how it goes.... Hope your items air out soon, BTW!
To conclude the saga from my earlier posts; the replacement SD halterneck top arrived from Releaserain today. The item was in minty-mint condition, and was (once again) received super-quickly. It's been a mixed experience, but my final verdict =
I bought 2 pairs of shoes from Releaserain a while back. Shipping was pretty quick for airmail. Smelled like rubber(They were sneakers), no bad or icky smells. mumu-hime- Yuck. Air them out, then try Fabreeze. Or, if it's the inside of the shoes...try putting some baking soda in the shoes for a day or two. Might help.
Oh no, I'm so confused! D: I bought two pairs of MSD shoes off releaserain, and she accidentally posted me one wrong pair so she sent the correct pair and let me keep the extra pair, free of charge. ^^ She PMed to let me know of shipping and of the mistake and was lovely to deal with. I'd heard a few people say they liked the seller also, and I was very pleased with the price and the quality of the shoes, and was ready to buy from them again. It's sad to find that stuff mentioned in this thread used to happen, but I would say forgive and forget. :$ Simply because my experience with her has been so nice and she seems to have cleaned up her act.
Now since all of the hoo-hah stuff is over with regarding this seller, how is the quality of the wigs that they sell?
Howdy, I did in fact purchase a MSD sized wig from this seller for my doll. The black fur wig was excellent quality but did not fit my DZ - Rutger has a fat head. The wigs do in fact fit the slimmer/smaller MSD dolls better. I ended up giving it to a friend who has a Lati doll and it fit her like a dream. One thing I will add about this seller - she's prompt in shipping. It took less than a week from Hong Kong...and she's super nice.
I've bought from Releaserain several times and have always been pleased...I bought a braided wig that fits my Beryl perfectly, and I bought 4 pairs of high heels, jeans. The shipping has always been fairly fast..sometimes I have bought on a Friday and they were in my hands the following Tues!
Okay, so she has really prompt service... that's good to hear! So, about the MSD sized wigs, do you think they would fit a Kid Delf...? Bella has kind of a fat head, and I would hate to spend that money to find out that the wig wouldn't fit!
I purchased a wig for my DIM Flowne and it fits her really well, even without a wig cap. I've also purchased a pair of sneakers from them.
I have always bought msd size wigs (including one from releaserain a while ago) for my KD Nara elf and they fit fine.
I've got some shoes and other odd's and ends from this seller, she is very fast, the items seem fine for the price.
I have noticed some familiar pictures on their items before. now that I'm getting a luts doll myself, I though of purchasing some itmes from them, but I guess I've changed my mind. I also found it funny how slip-ons with Paul Frank Julius print are stated as "slip-on sneakers with MONKEYS" and not even one word about Paul Frank. http://cgi.ebay.com/Dollfie-SD13-DO...ryZ84635QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem And how the hell can they make such slipons with hands by themselves o__O? And similar slip ons are for sale here: http://www.blythedollworld.com/product.detail.php?id=1352783
I bought glass eyes from them and they were extremely poor quality, nothing like the picture, the colour was all blotchy. They sent me a replacement pair but same problems with that pair. I don't recommend their eyes~ Their other stuff is just fine though.
I've bought two pairs of shoes - both boots - from this seller. Both times the measurements were wrong. I ended up keeping them anyhow, they were good quality even if the measurements were wrong, but I wont buy from this seller anymore.
I bought some yoSD shoes from ReleaseRain and they were perfect, I'll continue to buy from the seller, but make sure you check measurments before you buy!
I have purchased many shoes in different sizes from Releaserain. She is one of the few ebay sellers who has shoes large enough for Dollshes and 70cm Dollzones. I do ask for measurements if it's not clear on the post. My mnf Shiwoo elf has a Vaan shoe wardrobe now since releaserain offers so many great colours.
I think it's a very nice seller. I bought an MSD wig and MSD shoes and it was just perfect. Very good communication and fast reception.
same here - i even messaged to ask if the shoes would fit a DOT boy and told yes they would but i can tell you now there is no way in hell my DOTs feet fit the shoes - i have tried and tried and they do not fit. Ill not buy shoes from them again. regards
I bought shoes for my obitsu boy from her and though they are big, they work. Obitsu's are just an odd size for feet. Though there are measurements on the ebay page about what size the shoes are inside and out, so I got as close as I could. I will probably buy shoes from her again because she's got a lot of great styles that are fairly inexpensive and she was quick. I got them in about a week and a half.
Bought shoes from them, they were very well priced, shipped quickly and arrived exactly as described. Don't know how well they are as far as sizing goes because the doll who will wear the shoes hasn't arrived yet, but so far I am very pleased.
Got 6 pairs of shoes & acrylic eyes from seller. Very easy and helpful to communicate with. Items arrived within 2 weeks. I was very happy with all items. Good quality at affordable prices. Highly Recommended to anyone.
I bought one pair of platform white lolita-like shoes from the store and they arrived promptly too. They seem fairly decent quality except that a smudge of yellow glue can be seen on one side (not obvious when worn), and one of the back ribbons came loose. I had to push the ribbon back through the loop with a needle, sew it in place and then burn the ends of all ribbons so that they wouldn't fray... But they're amazingly good for the price I paid. My dollie even stands more easily in these shoes. They're heavy and have rubber soles that really help with traction.
I've bought an MSD wig (half ponytail) from Releaserain, which fits a tiny bit loose on my Blue Fairy but is fine otherwise. It's one of my favourites. And vans.. my CP boys finally have vans they can wear. I so sick of buying various shoes that supposedly fit CP boys only to have them way too small. I think my boys have mutant feet or something. And I bought a little asian outfit (no clue what it's called) for my CB BambiCrony. I have to say it was advertised as fitting Yos but the pants are almost tight on my BC and I know he's much slimmer than a Yo. No way the pants would fit a Yo. Not that I'm complaining.. It fits my boy and makes me happy. The top would fit a Yo fine. Overall I've had no problems with Releaserain. The shipping is reasonable and relatively quick (about 2 weeks for arriving to Canada which is quicker than most places which generally take about a month to get to me for some reason unless it's EMS) and the items I've bought are pretty good quality as far as I can tell. LM
I bought two pair of eyes, mixed pack of eyelashes and white platform msd boots. The eyes are simply awesome! The tracking on them almost frightened me! They are that impressive! The eyelashes also pleased me greatly. They are a lot easier to use than other lashes I have tried before. They emailed me and told me that they had sent me boots of yo-sd size by mistake. They immediately sent out the right sized boots AND they let me keep the yo-sd boots for free! That is such a generous and kind thing to do I think! The quality was perfect, price was reasonable, shipping quick and communication great! Highly recommended!
Just got three new pairs of shoes for my boys. You can't beat the prices. And the mini converses are awesome! They fit all my boys from my Obtisu 55cm to my SDF size boys. And I got them in about two weeks.
