Meetup East Coast Tri-State/South NJ ABJD Meet - 12/21/24

Dec 21, 2024

    1. We had a nice pre-holidays South NJ doll meet today. My friend and I arrived a little later into the meet, but we still had a good time with good company. I brought my two resin couples in sweaters and holiday attire, including my Jessica's first outing modeling her Christmas dress. We had a great big variety of dolls and figures, including a whole bunch of Star Trek figures! Check out the group shots and highlights below, and give my Flickr album for the meet a look. Some of the closeups turned out better than the group shots. The lighting with the windows behind the dolls was a challenge. ABJD Meet - 12/21/24 - South NJ

    2. Love your photos. What great dolls! I especially love the crew from Star Trek and the dolls putting up the Christmas tree.

    3. Thank you, Gina! I'm glad you liked the pics. If you haven't already, check out the Flickr link. I got some great closeup shots of the Star Trek figures.

    4. Will do.

    5. Fantastic holiday outfits. I do feel bad for the poor girl who came nude. Love the Star Trek figures, they looked well done. Glad everyone had a chance to get together.

    6. Thank you! I'm glad you liked the pics :) The nude girl was for sale, and she was bought at the meet. The new owner makes her own clothes, so I'm sure she won't be nude for long. I asked her if I could reposition the hands and hair to help make the photo a bit more PG  Check out Flickr for more Star Trek goodness!

    7. I'll have to check out your flickr too - the faces on the ST figures looked very detailed!

Your girls looked great! The xmas dress and the red dress were both so becoming! But oh, show me a really nice knit doll sweater and I am enthralled!

Lol, the big windows behind the dolls wasn't enough, you had to fight snow reflection too! It's a pity that only my oldest - and somewhat defunct - editing program had a function to selectively lighten dark areas while leaving bright areas alone - histogram? haven't found something similar on what I have to use now.

    8. Thank you, Hobby :) Yes, give the album a look. The Star Trek figures were outstanding.

I got practically all of their clothes over the summer! The knit pieces are from Olga Borontova, the Christmas dress was from ebay, and the other odds and ends were from other odds and ends. The red/pink one is actually a top from Olga, a generic brand American Girl style skirt that I got from The Doll Outlet in Lancaster, and Iplehouse bra and panties underneath for decency

Yeah, the windows behind have always been a challenge, even with the blinds down. I got a light earlier this year that helps a lot, but it still doesn't pump out enough light to counteract the light from an open window when taking pics at a distance every time. At least the closeup shots turned out pretty nicely.
