i'm very new to dyeing and modding in general, so i wanted to ask here before doing any experimenting. i haven't been able to track down a base chibi lilin faceplate in the paradise skin, ever, so i thought about dyeing a white/normal skin lilin to match a doll i'm working on with the other paradise skin faceplates. i was wondering which unoa skin tone would work best for me to get the closest possible result to their paradise skin? their white, or normal skin? has anyone done this before, and did it work out? do you have any recommendations for a specific dye company/type/color to get that unoa paradise tone? thanks in advance!!
Lomi's Playground on Youtube has a whole video set of dying BJDs, her experiences and troubleshooting. She's not an expert, but her information is a great start and I personally would try her methods if I ever get my hands on purple dye for my gargoyle doll project. These aren't in order, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76kN1PXWZv8 Alternately, Youtube has other doll modders who have tried it. So cross-examining methods can help. Good luck!
