Hello, I’m creating this thread to show off my dolls and give my customers a place to share theirs. My dolls have been deemed off-topic here on DOA, but you can discuss both the 3D-printed and casted versions here in the Brigadoon. these are some of my most recent dolls Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr And you can see the latest things I’m working on sculpting: Spoiler Sadie by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr you can find more info and pictures of all the dolls I make on my brand Instagram: https://instagram.com/dxgirlydesigns and my website Dxgirly Designs
I love these girls so much!! I have three, a 3d printed Peaches and Pie and a casted Pumpkin from the first preorder! They're so sweet, I'll be back with a pic in a bit!
DXGirly Designs girls! by Jules B, on Flickr Here they are! Beverly, my Pie, Nakia, my Peaches, and Autumn, my Pumpkin!
Aaahhh!!! I'm so jealous! Love your styling of them, can't wait to see what kind of face ups they will get I'm waiting for my 3D printed Bubbles and casted Mishka I really really want Peaches and Pumpkin too! (And Benny and Sadie ) Thank you @dxgirly for making this thread!
You’re so welcome @Cyberdollie I should be getting a tracking number for the package that your Mishka is in sometime in the next 24 hours, so you’ll soon have her in your arms and be able to share her here.
@Cyberdollie thank you so much! The 3D print resin has such a lovely luminous quality to it, it's so lifelike. The lighting isn't great in this apartment, but my Pie and my Peaches are painted! DXGirly Designs Pie by Jules B, on Flickr Bev lookin good, with Nakia's eye looking at her lmfao I love how the resin handled some light freckles! They're really subtle IRL unless you're really close up on her like this Spoiler: Nakia's faceup DXGirly Designs Peaches by Jules B, on Flickr Nakia doesn't have eyebrows because I kept stressing about what color to make them (natural or one of the blues or purples in her wig) I decided finished is better than perfect when her bangs would mostly cover them anyway, lol. I tried to do a glam false eyelashes look, compared to the more natural lash style I went for with Bev. I love these girls, I need to decide what I want to do for my Pumpkin!
My curvy body samples arrived yesterday from the caster. They’re absolutely beautiful in person. Received some of my 3D printed Benny heads back from my friend who painted them for me. They all look so pretty..I’m definitely going to have to print them each their own body I can’t wait to get this girl casted. I’m going to order my samples in October from FDoll.. Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr
Wow they are so gorgeous! Hopefully one day I'll be able to get a resin casted girl - they look really great! I currently have one Nectarine, and three more 3D printed girls on the way - Bubbles, Mishka and Lola. Money-willing these won't be my last.
Your Bubbles will be finished and on her way to you before the end of the month! Thank you so much for all of your love and support
I am so excited for the Benny I've got ordered! Ever picture I see makes me more excited for my little troll girl.
Wanted to share these photos of Bubbles in the resin color UFO with a faceup by @preciouslilyaesthetics on Instagram. Preorder for blank versions of my curvy body dolls with the Bubbles, Mishka, Nebula, Lola, Bean, and Dolce headsculpts will be in October on my website. Bubbles by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr
Sent some of my sample girls away for faceup from Dannisdesignerdolls on IG. Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr more pictures under the cut Spoiler Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr also had a Bubbles head painted by an artist I cannot mention here. She did a beautiful job. Spoiler Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr and then I also started work on a new sculpt I named Izzy. She is shown on slim body here, which I am still currently in the process of testing. Spoiler Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr
Oh my gosh, I know it'll be a while before you release Izzy but I'm definitely ordering her when you do! Especially if she's available on the slim body, because I'm dying to make her the cute bubbly cottagecore addition to my fantasy grunge girl group - the one who just decided she was going to be their friend and they were amused, so they let her and she ended up almost their mascot.
Lotsa pictures for updates. If anyone would like to please join my discord, I update there much more frequently Join the Dxgirly Designs Discord Server! I gave Izzy a faceup and got her headsculpt finalized. Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Spoiler Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr then I sculpted another head, who I affectionately named Lulu Spoiler Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr I’m horrible at painting teeth so I’m hoping to send her away for faceups by people more skilled than I am. lol and then I took body comparison photos of the three finished bodies I’ve sculpted thus. It was pretty cool to see my own growth with these. It also helped firmly decided retire the thick body for now. I may try to resculpt it someday though, using what I know now. Spoiler Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr and then finally my most recent project, Azrael. I’ve been LOVING BG3 recently. It was my introduction to the DnD world and the lovely Karlach inspired me sculpt a Tiefling. This was my most ambitious project so far, and I really stepped out of my comfort zone sculpting her. I think it really paid off! Spoiler Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr Untitled by Nikki Kelly, on Flickr I’d like to play around with some resin and see if I can achieve a reddish color to print her in next. I also spoke with my caster, and he said she castable, but she will just cost a bit more. I was worried she wouldn’t castable at all with her horns, so that was great to hear!
Figured I'd best share some of my dolls here now that I've got them in! The only one properly sanded and assembled thus far is my Smol Pumpkin, but I've assembled most of the larger ones to have all the pieces together when I go to sand them. The heads in a row from the box opening: I don't have Dolce assembled, since I need different S-hooks than what I've got on hand (her foot bars printed thicker than normal for some reason). Here's the others, though! Left to right: Spoiler: Nectarine (discontinued) Spoiler: Leith (partially sanded prototype version) Spoiler: Grumpy baby Billy! Spoiler: Darling Nana Spoiler: Smol Pumpkin, assembled and temporarily styled And the less-color-accurate but kinda fun mystical photos: Spoiler: Quinn the androgynous sculpt I'll add pictures of them properly sanded as I finish!
