Hi dear all,
Did someone got any feedback from DOD concerning Rose Heln Choco w/o make up? I saw they posted stories in Instagram, that they start to send them out.

Just wondering if anybody received mails from them?

 

@Eva Brown I’ve seen a few people on Instagram starting to get their blank girls, no idea about shipping notices though, sorry!

 

@Singull Thank you for the info. Yes, I saw pictures from couple of owner in Europe and Russia. Seems they shipping by bunches.

I got my blank choco Heln on Tursday, she is amazing!!!
The colour of the resin is beautiful and I'm having a blast faceupping her and finding out who she is. ^_^

 

@Blablette oh, congratulations with new girl! I saw in Instagram there are many Beautiful choco pop upped already.

However I didn’t get any updates about my blank Heln till now.

That’s maybe sounds strange but Dust of Dolls didn’t send nothing to me.
They just answer on my request 2 weeks ago that they will cross check with person in charge who packed and send my order, and let me know.
But no any answer till today. That’s confusing.

@Eva Brown I have the same problem. The response I got was basically that my doll has not been marked as shipped yet, but all Roze Heln without makeup were supposed to be shipped.

@Opal Doll oh, I’m very sorry to hear that! Did they say any reason, why delays ? I’m a bit confused to send once again a request, but almost another month passed since their last answer and still no any updates.

 

@Eva Brown all they said was that they would check in with the person in charge of shipping to know more about what’s going on.

Finally got a letter from Dust of dolls, they prepared my girl to shipping out.

Just found out - those that got Roze w/faceup, the faceup's bubbled during shipping back from Viridian House. They are going to post it on their page soon. They are letting customers have a store credit, wait to send out for new faceup, or will refund via bank wire.

 

@wrxgal thanks for update! I just found that news too, they said it’s happened because packages was held for a month in a cold warehouse, so make up was damaged.
When I received my blank chocolate girl, I found she have a light stains on her belly, so probably cold also affected on resin they made from. Looks exactly on that pictures they posted with make up.

On chocolate tan this stains looks like vitiligo. It’s looks even cute. But of course someone will be not ready to that

Thought I'd share my chocolate Roze Heln named Dori. She's inspired by you guessed it Dory the fish .

 

@nanachan Dori is precious! The electric blue hair / magenta eye combo works well against her skin tone. It's an excellent Pixar callback. I love her 90s motif shirt too. She looks like she's about to hit the town somewhere.

Is anyone ordering Chae? She is cute in every fashion.

I didn't think I was going to make it into her preorder. But lo and behold, my dolls and heads sold, and I was able to squeeze in. I already had some Roze clothes ordered for the Heln I have on layaway, so she'll have something to wear, though I'm tempted to try and buy an outfit on the 24th.

How are you planning to style your Chae? Any ideas yet?

 

Yasss Chae is such a cutie! I can't wait to receive her but okay we have only to wait!

I've still not received any invoice and I'm currently waiting for it. And I'm think to try order one of these beautiful outfits too because I have nothing for her, she is bigger than all my other dolls and maybe some tops will fit her I don't know Which one do you like the most ? :p

I have some plans for her but nothing concrete at the moment because actually the ideas come to me just after receiving a doll and I always change my mind when I'm order the doll and when she arrives I need to keep her in my hands to understand how I want to see this little lady ^^ And what about you? :p

 

I've ordered Roze Chae She will be my first Dust of Dolls cutie, but probably not the last
Some day, I would love to add a Roze Heln to my collection as well, but only time will tell... with how popular the size is, maybe DOD will just keep making even more amazing girls in this size!!

I won't be tryig to order any of the fullset clothes that are releasing on the 25th though, I really love all of them but they do not fit the style I want for my girl... So I might find another way to get some clothes for her.

 

I got a Chae too! I'm thinking of a mori girl style for her, but I will also want to see how she looks when she arrives and gets a face up. The clothes that DoD is releasing are very cute, but I'm not sure if I want to try to buy them. I would also love to hear people's ideas. I think that Roze scuplts often lend themselves to soft sweet looks, but I would also love to see sporty or modern Chae.

 

It was hard to resist Chae, but I've got already two Heln at home, and I couldn't let one go for a Chae, cus I love them so much. So I'll just live vicariously though your pics! ^_^

In everyone’s experience, what is the timeline that Dust of Dolls typically uses?

A little off topic but I just ordered a blank Cham Namu and was wondering how long DOD typically takes in their production+assembly.

 

@ittybittykittyz aaayyy I got in on Namu too. Judging from the previous posts in this thread, it looks like for the chocolat Heln preorder it took at least 7-8 months for the blank ones (bit longer for the painted Helns since DoD had trouble with the faceups getting messed up while in transit back to them from the artist the first time), and about the same for Appi Kore going off my friend’s IG posts, though I’m not sure if she got in on that preorder right away or waited a bit. It’s definitely going to be a decent wait time for Namu. Main reason I opted for a layaway myself.

Is there a chance Roze Heln will be released in a new color?

 

Ahhh that sucks. Hopefully I will be able to get her soon. I know in a few years her price will probably go way beyond what I want to spend. I am mad for not buying her the last time I saw her for sale

 

she was also just offered on preorder though on their page in Chocolate not related to PNW. So I feel there may be a chance of a color other than peach and choc being offered. No doubt for a very short preorder in the future.

 

Chae Peche is almost here. I've been preparing for a while. She such a cute sculpt. Who else might be participating in her preorder?

Just finished my layaway payments on a Roze Heln and also have Roze Chae on preorder and was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to get them shoes and clothes? They will be my first dust of dolls and I have no idea what to look for for them! Any help would be appreciated

Generally standard MSD tops should fit the Roze body, and some small SD bottoms (like shorts and skirts) can fit.

As for shoes, her feet are short like most slim minis, but are too wide for slim mini shoes. I generally just stick to close-toe shoes in standard MSD sizes and it looks fine. Plenty of room for socks.

What is the best eye size for Chae? The website states both 12 mm and 14 mm, which one fits the best in your opinion?

I love the new Roze Qinn! My favorite face yet in this line. I hope she’s released by the end of the year.

 

I do look forward to seeing her makeup and dressed up shots! I am also always curious to see what resin color it will be. I am partial to beige. I like the regular peach one though too.

 

Some questions!
For anyone that has done a layaway, how much was the conversion charge from Euro to US Dollar? Were you charged each time you paid?
Also can anyone tell me the tariff you paid for your Roze size?

I'm also curious about the layaway process- I know it is in 3 parts, but from what I've seen on threads here, they mail out invoices manually on their own timeline, so it is not necessarily every 30 days buyers get their next invoice, correct?

I am pretty sure DoD is still using Stripe for payments, I'm currently paying a layaway for Lillycat using Stripe and the conversion rate is 4%. It also gives me the option to use my bank/card company's conversion rate, which in my case is less. You can contact your bank to ask if it's less than 4%.

I don't think DoD has shipped any preorder dolls since these major US tariffs went into effect (there is an Appi order that should be going out soon). Tariff will be based on the type of item and declared value of the package (and I doubt they will underdeclare) so could potentially be hundreds of $.

 

4% I think is the same as PayPal. It’s why I can never do layaway because the 4% is done each time. If you were to pay in full 860 Euro is around $1150 USD without fees (that was an option with a faceup for a chocolate Roze)….and I’m guessing the tariff will be around $200. Ouch.

 

Preorder for Roze Chae in beige is open! Love the faceup DoD did on this girl for the promo. I have a Chae in peche and am content with her. But I do plan on joining the upcoming preorder for Qinn.
