She is so cute! I'm just so giddy it's not even funny. She's going to be buddies with my lilycat aglae .... I'm planning some cute pics in my head.

 

So the Krot'zillas.... @__@ what a wild 30 seconds of my life. I literally sat there refreshing until 3:59am when they went up. By 4:00 am they were entirely sold out. I had one in my cart and when I hit confirm purchase I was told that the quantity was no longer available. TT__TT

Oh well. Célestine is just as cute in NS as she would have been in violette!

SmoteyMote the same happened to me - I put a blue Krot in the cart, but when I hit proceed I got an error message that the quantity was no longer available - it was not even 9.01am (I'm in the UK!)... Oh well. I hope we might see one or two here!

 

I just got an email saying the order confirmation for my Krotzilla was a mistake and that my order was therefore cancelled... Not that unexpected, but I cannot put into words how crushed I am right now.

 

I want to join the club of people who didn't catch the Krot XD My order made on 30 second was canceled too XD

 

I hope they go back to the lottery system for the next LE release. I didn't get a doll either, but at least with the lottery each person's chances are equal to everybody else. With this system, it feels like people with poor internet connectivity don't stand a chance.

I tried for one as well, and it was sold out before I got to the end of the checkout process even though I got it in the cart at 9.59. I'm on my slow old laptop for the weekend, but I'm not sure if being on my newer desktop would have made any difference anyway.

 

Aww I'm sorry to hear so many of you couldn't get a Krötzilla. I hope that someone on the forum got one because I would love to see photos of them.

This is exactly the colour I had envisioned for her, I'm so happy, and the mohair is sooo soft. ♥

Well, you might think I'm bitter (and it's true, I am), but apparently the Krotzillas were sold out at 9h59 20 second-ish... So people thinking they would be released at the actual time didn't stand much chance at getting one sadly =/

But, it's only a doll and life goes on ^^

 

I would be sad too, that is really tough. I think a lottery system is better than a timed release for such a limited quantity.

And secretly I wish DoD would release Krots in fantasy colours as default as well, but I understand they want to make the fantasy colours more special.

 

I wish so too ! I contacted them a while ago (like, nearly 2 years ago) about fantasy colors dolls and they only plan on making them LE. Maybe one day they'll change their mind ! (I sure keep my fingers crossed)

At least I still have my little NS Arie to cherish

I received a new dress from Choupie yesterday - it's very cute on Célestine! I will try and take some photos soon of her in it!

I have been considering dying my Ärie... I think I saw that someone here dyed their Krot? I'd be curious to know how it went!

@annina - Hello back, Minna! What a sweet little monster! I too wish that they would release more fantasy colors! At least one fantasy color chance for everyone to get would be really nice! I'm still amazed that I found my DoD Meël in blue menthe on the market as soon as I did since she was an LDoll release. But still, the price was quite a jump from the original sale price and I have a feeling that the same will be the case for these violette Krots.
@Sept - Your girl is SUPER adorable! I love her faceup - is it custom? It goes so well with her wig!

 

Yes, someone dyed their Arie in teal if I remember right, there should be pics around somewhere in this topic. I'm currently waiting to get my salary to buy a WS Arie, in order to get her dyed XD I'll let you know how it went once it's done ^^

As for Chikubi's faceup, she has the one Esthy proposed during the preorder x)
I do think her alpaca wig fits her a little better, but it's such a pain to take care of the cute pink wig is her "day off" wig XD

I used Rit powder dye, about half a teaspoon for four or five liters of water. Dipped the pieces for uh, some seconds in the dye water mix and washed the extra dye off. I still haven't cleaned her with anything stronger than water so I can't say how well the dye holds then, but so far so it has been okay

ETA: I can take some new pictures of her soon, as I have a dress set I need to photograph.

None of them seems to have anything for Krots for sale right now but best you check each shops facebook or blog or flickr or whichever sites they post to.

I think from Choupicouture you can request a custom order, at least that button is there in their shop, so you might be able to request a Krot dress.

Hello everyone! I haven't said so yet because I felt bad to have been the only one then and everyone was so sad, but I got a krotzilla ;u; It was utter luck because when you scroll upwards on tablet, and you reach the top and you scroll up more, it reloads the page, so that happened accidentally and I saw the add to cart button x-x It says #8 on the CoA. It just came home, I'm not sure if it has a gender (and if yes, which), but I decided to name it Dior. The idea came from my friend. I told her the outfit has a very strong smell (which even stayed on my hands) and she said 'Maybe it wants to be names Perfume '. I kind of liked the idea, so I named it after the rather popular perfume brand Dior, but it is actually a real name, and French on top of it, so I think it fit! ^^ I offered the second faceplate to my friend, Soenatte. She'll be making a fabric body for it and a self made head back ^^~
Sept I'm so glad you were able to find one ;u; Was so shocked when I saw that they sent you an email to say you didn't get it...I didn't see their FB announcement till after I had gotten confirmation, although I was half joking to my friend about getting an email saying 'Sorry, you didn't get after all'.

Byzantine Funny you mentioned kimonos, I was thinking of crocheting something similar, because I couldn't get the sweater I made on xD;; At least not over the butt. I didn't try over their head...
And no, they do have a wig now, that I made from bamboo-cotton yarn but holding on from a string. The pink wig was indeed too small for me too. I managed to put it on, but as soon as I tried fixing it a little, it would pop off and it got on my nerves...

 

It's a shame to read that the wigs don't stay on for the krotzillas =/
Even with some kind of eye putty on the headback ?

 

Sept I'm afraid that the wig is too small and difficult to put on, I would mess up and scratch the eye putty off in my attempt to put the wig on. It was a hard fight...xP I would think putty only helps when the wig is bigger so it doesn't slide off.

Not really XD If I put the wig into a normal position, it fits, but the fringe is so long it covers all her face ! So I pull it back a little and it kind of pops off but the hood of the kigurumi holds it on ^^

 

Ahhh that's smart XD I have given up hope on the pink wig. I'm hoping someday by some miracle, I'll have a dolly that can perhaps wear it cause it's so cute...-u-;;

Hello everyone~ poking my head in uvu Everyone's Krots are soooo adorable... u.u I honestly can never get enough of them!!! They've been one of my dream dolls for a long while and thanks to Shailara giving me her Kete faceplate it's pretty much right within my grasp and I couldn't be happier! Their name is Levi and they're currently on my version 1 fabric body... it's not perfect and cannot pose very well but it serves them well for now. The body has movable button-jointed legs with magnets that allows it to ballance on a metal plate and poseable wired arms too uvu The lovely Arie on the left, Dior, belongs to my friend [MENTION=58376]Shailara[/MENTION]~
