Oooh, there's a Näbi discussion thread, I didn't realise! Well then, here's Kessie saying hello to the thread with a somewhat old picture, and hoping that some of the few other Näbi owners also are on here.

 

This is the closest thread I could find, anybody interested in the Cham Byol girl?

 

I think this should be for all Cham girls now that there are more than one! I'm super interested in Byol. I hope so much that she gets a pre-order; she'd be a perfect companion friend to my Kessie.

 

I think they are planning and soon, because they hinted at it in the comments on one of their posts!

 

Popping in because I’ll be getting Byol when she is released on the 27th! Should she get her own thread or just merge into this one? Either way I’m excited! I had a Wawa once, but felt guilty over her price tag, and sold her straight away. Byol reminds me of a little Wawa! The current idea I’m rolling with is a sheep fairy. Totally made up species my friend came up with, because they’re my favorite animal and Byol will be so small compared to my mostly SD collection the idea will be presented with fuzzy moth wings, as “wool” wings, and maybe sheep ears and/or horns.

But that sort of crafting will probably only start once I have her home, since I’m so unprepared for her measurements.

Anyone else going to jump on the short preorder?

 

@Cuteasadoll I'm so excited for her release. When I saw pictures of her from LDoll, I was heartbroken because I thought there is no way I will be able to afford secondhand prices. Now that I have a chance, I'm gonna go for it. She'll be a little sister to my Doom Bomi.

 

I think this thread should be for all Cham girls. Congrats @Cuteasadoll and @angelie23. I also got one in the pre-order, now starts the planning for customisation!

 

I also got one a few minutes ago, a bit more and I was not in time!!! So excited for this little one.

Glad to see so many were able to order her! Thay 24hr window was definitely terrifying, I even had to call my bank to verify it was me making the purchase to a French website for a large sum now begins the wait! From someone who took part in the Wawa preorder right away they say the wait is looking like 4 or 5 months.

 

Ohh! I'm glad you had no other problems though! that's certainly terrifying. To be honest I didn't know if I was going to have any problem, I had never paid with credit card to buy a doll from another country before so I just went for it xD (I have a Dust of Dolls Lünn but they accepted paypal back then). I imagine that since I'm in the EU there must be some agreements reason why I didn't have a similar problem to yours. The worst that happened to me is that while finishing the order a code was sent to my phone to finish payment and my mobile phone died and I was rushing around to plug it
I looked at previous preorders to have an idea of the wait as well haha. I think nowadays 4-5 months seems to be the standard.

 

I had the same problem with my credit card, I had to verify it was me making the purchase. I am in the EU (well, at the moment anyway )

I'm so excited for our Byols to come home. So are we thinking April for arrival based on you guys estimations?

 

@Allstar I think so! I added an order comment that I’m moving around April and I’ll email them with my address change if it would ship then, and Dust of Dolls replied that’s perfect and they can also hold her in France until they hear my confirmation! So April/May is probably their schedule

 

Oh that's interesting! I also messaged them through the web form as I will be moving early may and asked to changed the shipping address to @samsons address and didn't get a response. I'll have another try! But also that's exciting to hear

Hopping on the thread because I managed to snag a secondhand Cham Byol (chocolate). I hate that I missed the preorder but I was unsure about her at first. But then after I got my Roze Heln, I realized there was just something special about Dust of Dolls sculpts, and then I started to see everyone get their Byol’s painted and I couldn’t resist! Please post pictures of yours here if you have them!

 

I just bought a second hand Cham Byol myself... Now starts the hunt for fitting clothes x)

@Sept I’ve found those a lot of minifee clothes fit alright. Leggings are easy to get away with. Not sure about any other bottoms, yet.

Very loose Blythe shirts fit Cham.
Soom Teenie Gem Outfits too ( i tryd one outfit and the Top was perfekt, but the skirt was to small )
So i think Yosd dresses will fit very good

I sold my Cham , cause she was to big for me =)

 

I had to sell mine too in the end to pay taxes but I regret it, I only manipulated her for 5min before packing her to send her away to her new owner and she's such a cute mold :'C
Definitely needed to be hotglued though, the resin is soooo smooth!

Is anyone else thinking of buying Cham Namu? She's soo sweet looking, she's my favorite Cham sculpt so far! I always see the DoD preorders and think "I don't need this doll!" but then when the preorder ends I regret it immediately... So when February 14th rolls around I'm probably going to put her on layaway!

 

I'm tempted myself, she has been on my wishlist since I saw the prototype, but at the same time when I saw her I thought she would make the perfect sister for my cham byol and I have her in chocolate skin. So now I'm torn between risking it and waiting to see if there is a preorder for her in chocolate some time in the future or getting her now just in case as to not regret it in the future

I think there's a good chance they'll release her in chocolate, but it feels so risky waiting ... I saw her and immediately thought she'd be a great big sister for my appi Jama, and I'm lucky they're both in peche skin. I saw more promo photos of Namu today and decided I'm definitely going to get her when the preorder starts!

 

Yeah, I think the same, there is a good chance but as you say feels so risky. I started thinking, what if they leave the chocolate version of this one for events only or something similar, I would have no chance then... So not sure what I'll decide in the end because at the same time I don't like the idea of getting this one just to sell her in the future if they do the chocolate one. But still, risky risky

Yes they do, a maximum of 3 month layaway. I haven't ever done one with them myself but this is what it says on their website.
It might appear the option during the check out I imagine?

I've been wanting a Dust of Dolls Cham, but haven't had any lucky finding one, at least for a reasonable price. So I jumped on the chance at Cham Namu. I wasn't sure at first, but now I think Namu would make an adorable boy.

 

I ordered Namu on Sunday. What is your experience with the DoD and their customer support? How long do they need to answer emails? Thank you!

 

The last few days have been my first experience ordering from DoD directly and so far customer service has been great. I was having trouble with the website when I ordered and they emailed me back within a few hours and straightened everything out. I can't speak for anyone else, but so far I'm pleased :-)

 

They have always been good to me, they can take up to a week it seems to create layaway page details (but that’s more involved than responding to an email), but have never taken more than two days to get back to my direct emails about change of addresses on my past orders. Regardless of the time, it’s always polite and helpful!

has anyone tried 3.0 imda clothing on cham body how was the fit?

 

Hi! If you don't mind me asking, do you know what size tights she is wearing? I'm looking for some to fit Cham but not sure if I'm looking at the right sizes!

 

Can anyone help with shoes for Cham or what size fits her? I wonder if YOSD size is too small, but MSD seems to big. Is it better to go for a size that is bigger, even by like a full centimeter, than her foot size?

 

Cham wears yosd size shoes. Anything else will be too big. Obviously some shoes will fit better than others. I have a pair of shoes that are a bit tight for her and she can only wear without socks, but they're the only ones I've had trouble with so far. Anything else fits perfectly with or without socks.

 

Thank you so much for the help! That was what I originally thought, lol, but then confused myself. She's my first doll of this size, so a bit of a learning curve as to what fits or doesn't.

 

Glad I could help! I'm personally very pleased that Cham uses yosd size shoes because it's so difficult to find shoes for inbetween sizes (I have two other dolls in that same size than Cham and they're inbetween).
With Cham I would say it's a bit more difficult to find clothing that fits well. Generally yosd size is smallish and minifee size is biggish
It's a bit of trial an error in that respect.

 

Luckily, I've grabbed a commission spot from sometimesdolls, so at least I know I will have some clothing pieces tailored for her but I would like to find some more pieces!

 

Is here someone with a Cham and Minifee at home? I would love to see a comparison picture , the next Cham prorder is in January and i'm not sure if i get her or not :/

I find body most comparable to 3.0 imda bjd doll. She fits some of the clothing for that doll.
