Duplicate Bodies

Jan 19, 2026

    1. How many of you have 2 or more of the same bodies in your collection? :sweat

Once I had duplicate iplehouse nyid bodies, but have since sold one. Now, I have duplicate Resinsoul bodies, both the 61cm, one in white one in normal skin. And duplicate Universe Doll 72cm bodies, also in white and normal.

What are some bodies that you think are so great you just have to have two for your crew? :wiggle

    2. I have.. 5 Volks SDGr girl bodies? I have one in nearly every color. :XD: It's one of my favorites, and I think it balances poseability and aesthetics well for my taste. Plus, it's a body that's considered a standard size, so it's easy to find clothing for.

I have a couple of other duplicates, either because of a doll's fullset or because it's the only body in that color, but not really any I would consider buying again.

    3. I have 2 DT15 boy bodies (the old one with split torso), and 2 SDGr girl bodies, although one has small chest.
Also, 2 switch att 65, although they are different versions, one the older one and one the new one :,)

    4. The Asleep Eidolon rou mian body I find is a very very good poser and I want more of it, and to get the bigger 70cm version of it. I have a couple of the impldoll model body as well and it's also a beautiful poser. I love my DF-H 68cm v2 boy body as well and plan on getting more of that one too as it poses that well with minimal fuss.

    5. So normally, I don't like having duplicate bodies in my crew. I like for my dolls' bodies to be as individual as their heads, unless they're twins or different versions of the same character.

However, I do have two sets of almost duplicates.

The first is Luts Senior Delf, though one is type 1 and the other is type 4. They're very similar and I'm pretty sure they do have the same hands and feet and are the same size and very similar aesthetic, but type 1 is single jointed and a little more defined muscle, and type 4 is double jointed with some unusual stringing. I absolutely LOVE the Luts Senior Delf boy bodies, and I wouldn't mind having every version of them! I'm so sad they discontinued them all in favor of the bigger dolls. Aside from the Muse body, I really don't like the bigger Luts boy bodies. :(

The other "almost duplicates" are my Fairyland 60 girls. One is Feeple60 Moe, the other is Fairyline60. They're very vcery similar, except Feeple is a two part torso, and Fairyline is a three part torso, where the hip piece easily detaches to swap for fantasy lower bodies like mermaid or centaur. I think these bodies are pretty, but the posing is pretty bad.

A few I've had in the past that I adored and had multiples are BlueBlood Doll (defunct, but they were SO nice!), FDoll (currently have one, they don't have much detail at all and are very basic, but very good for cheap hybrids and posing is decent), and ResinSoul 60cm girl (so skinny! but poses fairly well and is pretty).

    6. I have… 6 going on 7 of the same body—it’s the Twigling body, and I have mostly different configurations of it—I have the ingenieuse different bust, the OG (short torso/long thigh), 2 long torso/long thigh, one (and soon a second long torso/short thigh, and a short torso/short thigh. A lot of them look like different bodies, but they’re also the same body with different parts.

I also have 2 resinsoul Cen bodies (one with boobs, one without), 2 resinsoul bigger boy bodies (one with boobs, one without), 4 f60 bodies (2 with boob mods, 1 dyed), 4 Abidoll boy and girl bodies (3 girls, 1 boy), 2 doll chateau adult man bodies (both with boobs modded on!), Soom old supergem bodies (2 scorpion tail, 1 with a chest mod, 1dragon wings), 2 new supergem girl bodies (1 demon, 1 human). I also have 2 Abidoll buff girl bodies coming. I don’t mind body duplicates, as long as the body works for the character!!

    7. Funnily enough, I don't have any duplicate bodies in my collection! I never intended that to be the case, and it wouldn't stop me from buying a doll, so it's just how it worked out.

Most of the dolls I have bought new have been from different companies, and a good proportion of my second hand dolls have been hybrids (though I do own multiple heads from the same company in the same scale, they just have never ended up being on the same body!).

I would be inclined to purchase more Big Babies on the bodies I own currently, as I am a big fan of the Rosen Lied Holiday's Child body and the Akagi Doll Chubby Baby body. In my standard 1/4 dolls however, I do prefer the variation between the bodies as they feel more realistic! If I had to own duplicate bodies at this size, I'd choose the Gem of Doll Body Ver. 4 or the Advillage Child body, as I love how both pose. In the 1/3 scale, I could see myself having another Chicabi Honey 12yr body, as I do really like how it poses as well!

    8. I have 2 doll zone 75cm boys and I love them. Thanks to them, I'm always picking 13.5 cm neck holes for heads since they pretty much fit most of my SD heads. One came in white and tbf, was meant to be dyed but I haven't picked the forever head. He's been yun chi, he's been two different fantasy bjd heads I don't think I'm allowed to mention since they're from smaller Chinese artists that I haven't been approved yet, and pretty much every head for uncle size that comes in. The other one is in black resin and, for the most part, has stuck the dragon head that came with. I genuinely love the body cause the resin feels nice, it's solid, it poses well, it's got little plastic bits in it so you don't have to suede it, it's not wired but it absolutely does not need it. Some people would argue he's one of a zillion muscle man bodies, but hes doing what I need and easily accessible and you can order it when ever. It's versatile and functional and fits id75 clothes.

    9. I own 2 oYID bodies and 2 SD13B bodies. I actually dislike the oYID body a lot and one of the SD13B bodies was a replacement for it! I think the SD13B body is a really solid body, but now it's been topped since I got a SDGrB 13 revival. :sweat I'd get a few of those if any of them matched my old heads.

    10. If I get multiples of the same body, it’s usually for entirely different and unique reasons…for instance, two of my guys are on Luts SeniorDelf65 bodies because I love the look of it (great size and enough muscle to make them appear tough when they need to be, but not overly so.) I have several of those Doll Chateau girl bodies (in both 1/4 and 1/3 sizes) with the extra joints because I love the thin, elongated and etherial look it gives their fairy-like characters. I have a couple of the Luts BabyDelf bodies because of their larger childlike proportions. And I have 3 Dollzone 1/6 B27-010 bodies because they have torsos small enough to fit into Blythe clothing, which is cute as heck, affordable, and easy to find.:)

    11. I have quite a few that are doubled, because I tend to buy more then one doll from companies that I like. I buy full dolls and very seldom go for the floating heads. The body is less important to me then the face of the doll. I don't buy dolls for the body, so I don't care if some of my dolls have the same body as another doll in my collection.

    12. Not yet, but I'm considering getting a second Unoa small-bust girl. Not because I'm so in love with the body, but because there's so many sewing patterns developed specifically for it, that I want to use. The advantage of a popular body!

    13. I'll have my third girl on the Dollstown 18 soon :abambi:
That body is pretty much the perfect ideal to me. The sculpting is so beautiful. But 3 is definitely enough.

    14. @lutke - The 18-girl Dollstown body is so beautiful - I love the torso sculpting, the neck, etc. Definitely worth having multiples of. Unfortunately, it is WAY too big for me so I must admire from afar.

However, I do have two of the older Maskcat 57cm bodies, and I think Maskcat has a lot in common with Dollstown in terms of realistic, elegant proportions and beautiful details (the hands!). I have one in NS and one in WS, and heads in both colors so the bodies share.

I'm also eagerly awaiting the release of the new Dollstown body (50-54 range). If it works for one of my floating heads and I like its mobility, I will be very tempted to get another!

    15. I have several sets of duplicate bodies.

Volks SD10 girl, SD13 boy and girl, SDGr girl, YoSD girls CH petites and EID women.

I do have brand preferences (Volks!)

And it's nice when they can swap wardrobes. My unique dolls have fewer clothing options (I make 99% of their clothes other than shoes).

    16. I think some of my Soom dolls have the same body type because I ordered them in the same year or they were made in the same time frame? But I bought them as a whole doll, either brand new from Soom or secondhand.

    17. I have 2 Minifee A-lines although technically they are different. One has cutie legs, large bust the other has model legs, small bust. I have a Fairyline as well, which looks just about the same, unless you switch out the human legs of course haha They are good dolls, and I love the magnet hands and feet for dressing and playing around with expressive hands.

I’m really impressed with my AE doll on the Mian Mian body and Xaga doll on the Star moon body. They are hands down my best for posing. And they are both beautifully sculpted. I would buy them both again, maybe with different bust sizes and skin tones just to have variety :3nodding:

    18. I mostly have Volks dolls and I love Volks bodies, even if they're not as poseable as more recently engineered ones: they're reliable solid standers, nicely sculpted, the resin is pleasant to touch and they have a range of option hands and feet.
I have no intention of hybriding my Volks dolls, and I have multiple SDM to SD17 bodies with some variations (older single-jointed arms and legs, Origin, suwarikko, new thighs and knees etc.). Not all dolls on the same body also handle exactly the same: some are kickier or more relaxed or more "tense" than others.
I especially love the gangly GrB body: 60-65cm boys are rare these days, and I don't think there's many others that hit the sweet spot of not too childlike and not too muscular.

I'm quite picky about what kind of joints I like on my 68cm+ dolls, but if I had a need for a second one, I would gladly buy another Granado Fortis. I also regret selling my Loongsoul B73-03 body now that Loongsoul male dolls no longer have genitals: if they were able to offer the non-censored body again, I would buy one.
Both of these bodies are solid posers right out of the box, especially the Fortis, and pass my Big Boy arm strength test of being able to hold a heavy 1/6 unassisted.

    19. I have 2 dolls, an Iplehouse woman and a Granado man. And I need bodies for the floating heads I got recently. I was looking at different bodies, reviews, etc. But finally decided to go for Granado again. I like their resin, feels good in hands, I like the way my 70Adagio poses, l just give him suggestions and he gracefully takes a position himself. And last but not least they will be able to share clothes. Which is very important as l make most of them myself. Saves some work.

    20. At this point I have three of the new 60cm male body from resinsoul. It's pretty good for the price, I like the way it looks, I'm fine with the way it poses, and they have enough colours to make hybriding easier/ensure there's still some diversity of looks.

    21. my answer is similar to @CloakedSchemer in that i tend to avoid duplicate anything because i prefer the more individual look of every one of my dolls having a completely different head and body-- but i do have one pair of bodies that are almost duplicate, and they actually both became similar hybrids too. it's two Angel of Dream 58cm girl bodies-- i got one of them in 2018 as part of a whole doll (AoD Yuki) and one of them was purchased secondhand for hybriding years later.

the one that was Yuki's is the smallest bust size, and i put Doll Family H hands on it and then gave the Yuki head a different body and put a Dollmore Skylar head on it. the secondhand one is i think the medium size bust, definitely much bigger than the small one tho, and i put a pair of Impldoll hands (that i disliked until i boil-reshaped) on it and gave it a Dollmore Aileen head. between the different bust sizes and different hands, they look similar but definitely not identical. and it is funny that they both got Dollmore heads, because i didn't plan it at all :sweat

    22. As my 1/3 dolls are mostlyt children or very young teens I need immature bodies for them and there aren't many options in that size range, so I have multiples of the same few - Volks SD10 (several boy and several girl - variations of height by swapping out the longer limbs from SD13 girls or FCS), Violks Swarrico (several), Volks Seirei (angel/genderless) two, Volks 2 part SD10 boy body with the "boy-bits" modded off (two), CustomHouse Ai (two). Luts Delf (two - one small-bust, one modded to flat chested).

I also have multiples in the 1/4 size - DollsTown 5year girl (two), DollsTown 7Year girl (two), DollsTown 7Year boy (two), and some smaller size duplicate bodies - Unoa Chibi flat chest body (two), Custom house PetiteAi (three) Fairyland Littlefee (four), Elf Elly Banji (three), Fairyland PukiPuki (three), Fairyland RealFee (four).

    23. I believe so as well! I think they share a lot in their tastes despite being distinct in style.

    24. Currently the only duplicate bodies I have are two volks MSD girls. That being said, one is from 2009 and the other is from 2002, so they've got a few differences.
I have no problem with having duplicate heads, but when it comes to duplicate bodies I'm kinda like "eh... but I have that one already..." for some reason, but having different versions of the same body circumvents that feeling, I guess...?:sweat

    25. I've had the same Souldoll body for two dolls before at the same time (small differences - different bust size, one was slightly renewed in jointing) - honestly I thought I'd enjoy this more given that it's one of my favourite bodies, but in the end I was a bit weirded out about having a duplicate. It somehow felt too decadent to have two of the same in lieu of variation :sweat I've also had the same head sculpt twice (two unoas), which I enjoyed at first but somehow in time my tastes have turned to preferring to have less dolls, in which duplicates seem to be hmmm... not a waste, but perhaps a waste of chance? - if I'm already having multiple, but limited number of dolls, I might as well have something that looks/feels different, and try different stylings every once and a while if I want to see a different look. But that's just me trying to be a bit frugal with this hobby somehow (with varying degrees of success).

    26. Out of the 40+ dolls I got, I don't have too many dupe bodies. There's my Haru Casting Neul, Lime, and Modeun that have the same body, my Black Cherry Dolls Zeri and Meihua, the Alchemic Labo Elder boys (I have a Zest as well as Xyle), annnnd...I think that's it. Even my 4 Fairyland MNFs are all on different versions of their A-line bodies bahaha (got the muscle and model type boys, an old version of the A-line girl, as well as the renewal version). I might end up with a second Switch Attractive 65cm body in the future, but we'll see once I get the head I ordered in.

It wasn't a purposeful choice though, just how things went as I bought dolls with specific characters and body types in mind. I am happy I've gotten to try out so many different ones though since it makes shopping for them easier since I know well what I do and don't like with joint engineering. :) I would say I wouldn't mind at all having multiple Bimong fusion mini bodies in my collection, but I'm happy to at least just have one boy and girl from him.

    27. Right now, my only duplicates are my Dollfie Dream 06 heads, who are meant to be twins and are on matching bodies in their respective skin tones. I purposefully avoid duplicating whenever possible, as I like variety in my doll family, but I am willing to overlook that variety for characters who are intended to be very similar. I'm also less persnickety about variety when it comes to my vinyl dolls, which I assume is because they are more like anime archetypes rather than fleshed-out characters.

    28. I have so many duplicate bodies that it would be easier to list out the unique ones lol :XD: my collection is almost all Volks resin and vinyl. I've got several SD10 girl bodies (1 suwarikko!), a few SD13 girls (one with the new heel legs), half a dozen SDM girls, two YoSD girls (newest body), one MDD Mochi Ashi, several DD girls, a few DDS girls, and every iteration of the DD Dynamite body (original DDII frame, DDIII frame, f3 frame, and 2.0 f3-- the vinyl shells are different on each one)
I also have Maskcat's new 62cm body. I need to get her a friend on the 58cm body they released as well!
I always thought I'd be the type to collect as many bodies as possible and prioritize poseability above all else, but my collection doesn't reflect that at all. Things change!
