    2. Oh wow, I _just_ missed the old thread. I've been lurking a while and definitely loved the Pitts spam. I'm most partial to the old molds because there weren't that many of them when I started the hobby. :3

yumi~, DoD skin colour is definitely still pink. It's the reason I can't buy more of their dolls, I just can not stand pink/red toned skins on dolls at all. I had to sell my Tender Zen because I just couldn't cope with it. :< It wouldn't even yellow although I tried to expose her to light as much as I could (should've just left her properly in the sun, I think).

~A*K~ I have a photo with Mir + Tender Zen together from when I still had both, if that helps at all? It's not the best one around but the first one I could find quickly.

    3. Yenna, thank you so much!!! Your Mir is so pretty! But, why does she looks so tall?

      My girl has something new!

But now she won't listen to me =___=U

    4. Oh yay~ A new thread!~ XD

My little lady got a new wig and outfit from the secondhand market. The weather was really good today so she came out for a little bit of air~

    5. She's on a DIM Happy body that's about 45cm tall. xD I bought her when DOD still only had the old type body and I wanted to upgrade.

    6. PinchofSalt, she looks great :)

      Oh! That's why xD
      Well, she looks amazing :D
      Thank you for the picture!

    7. Anyone who knows about any good resin match for DOD resin?

I have the old body for my Pitts because I wanted a child like character. Her single jointed arms I can not straight them out without them popping back. But then she was strung extremly tight. And I have never sueded her before.

But I kinda wonder if I should get her another body so I can pose her better. I prefer a child like body. But if I can't find anything I'll try to give her a little looser strings, suede her or try some suede rings\ joint fixing parts.

    8. So we managed to reach another thread and I finished my Jack Frost cosplay

    9. Hello! Random drop-in from the BBB/RS discussion thread =)

Do any of you know if the DOC clothes fit other MSD size dolls?
I have a Fairyland Minifee boy, and I have two Resinsoul minis on the way (they're all Slim MSD, as far as I've been told) and Dream of Doll has some awesome punk/goth clothes that I'd ADORE for my dolls.

    10. @Alchemist's Fire Their clothes would probably fit some other MSDs, but I doubt Fairyland or Resinsoul would fit in them since they're so slim. DOCs are comparatively chunky.

    11. @megpie252: Thanks very much hun.
Kind of a shame...there's some really awesome goth & punk clothing on DoD that I'd love to have for my dolls.
Guess I have to learn to sew after all xD

    12. @Alchemist's Fire : Unless you don't exactly mind it being slightly baggy. ^ ^)" I think you still can get the clothes from DOD, except that you might need to make some alterations to the clothes if you would like them to fit better. That's still slightly easier than learning how to sew completely; you already have the base, you just need to mod it.

    13. Thank you Yenna <3 it's kind of sad though...I can't stand pink/red shades on dolls either and I think I got the pinker DOC boy ever but I love him so he's staying...but I won't be ordering another DOC until they add new shades or fix their normal skin tones. Or I can blush the head since I'm not a fan of DOC bodies either way, let's see what the future brings!

    14. I wouldn't mind it being slightly baggy, no. Certain things may actually look cuter being a little baggy.
And I do have someone who could probably help me make alterations, which would also be a good thing.

I just wish I had more time. I really do want to learn how to sew =)

    15. I took Valeska out for some pictures today, before the snow ruins all the water lilies.

    16. Uhm... I posted this... yesterday? But since the hacking, some post are missing, so here I go again...

megpie252, I adore her :) so cute, as always

      I should spam too...

    17. Joining the thread since I just got my first DOD doll this week - I won a Yen on eBay. He had a company faceup, but it wasn't quite right for the character so I redid it, only keeping the eyebrows (which I recolored to match his hair.) This is Addison:

    18. Sorry if this question has already been asked, but do Dollheart shoes fit DOC boys?
I just got a lovely Si (his name is Finn!) and he's been shoeless since I've had him D:

    19. megpie252 I remember Valeska, I couldn't forget that beautiful Leya! she looks so pretty with that outfit and great background.

      solitary agent
congrats on your new boy!! he is lovely, I always liked yens (every DOC for that matter) I love his big eyes and freckles <3

parapluie I don't have dollheart shoes but any "MSD" shoe will fit fine. I never worried or had any problems when buying shoes for DOCs, any MSD size will fit and if it is bigger the better! (I struggle a lot with shoes about the same size of their feet because it is a pain to take off).

    20. solitary agent, he's so cute :D congrats!!!

    21. I love coming to this thread and seeing everyone's lovely dolls~ :D Congrats on your first DOD, solitary agent! He's a cutie~ :3

I spent a bit of time with my Tender Too, Kei, today... his old eyelashes had gotten really damaged, so I took them off and glued new ones in. ^^ I also styled his wig with wax again as it was being really difficult... now it's a bit easier to keep in check. He definitely looks better with the new eyelashes~ :aheartbea I had a small shoot with him, but unfortunately today is really rainy and gloomy so I didn't get that many good photos. -.-; I hope that I can buy him a new pair of eyes soon... I've been thinking about trying out some Mako eyes for him, I just need to decide which shade of green to go for, haha. xD

But anyway, here's a photo of him:

I need to go visit Yenna so that I can kidnap his boyfriend for a while, ahah. :'3 He clearly looks like needs some company, giving such a flirty look...

    22. I was wondering what size eyes other people use for their DOCs.
I have a DOC Si and he's got 16mm eyes in right now, but from what I've heard, 14mm works just as well, it just looks a little different -- is this the case? Could anyone please share their pictures of DOCs with 14mm and 16mm eyes for comparison? Thank you <3

    23. megpie252, She's a real cute. I love Leyas.

solitary agent, well, I love Yen's too. But he was my first doll so I'm biased. x3 <3

parapluie, I definitely use 16mm for all my open eyed docs, who have big eyes (like Si). 14mm makes them easily very starey and I wouldn't use it for anyone but the tender and squinty eyed versions (so Tender Zen, Tender Too, Tender Twing-Key, Tender Bee-a, Ivan, Kirill, Shiny Petsha, Hez, Dustin). My Tender Yen has pretty big eyes too, so I use 16mm on him. I guess it's a taste thing, but with 14mms in big eyes you need to be very precise with positioning if you want to use them.

    24. Agh, sorry I keep coming back with questions and not actually contributing, I'm a bit of a noob to all of this...
Anyways, I was wondering: do 1/4 Angell Studio clothes fit DOC boys alright? And what about shoes? The measurements seem like they'd be a little small, but I'm hoping I'm wrong D:

    25. I think it's all about taste, like Yenna said. If you want a more mature look, small eyes are better (14mm) or a cuter look (bigger eyes, 16mm). Personally, I love 14mm eyes. I always use a size smaller than the standard size because it looks better for me. The position is important for any size.

Two of my DOCs used to have 16mm eyes in the beginning but I was never content with them. Here is a picture (the ones on the right are very ancient pictures  my boys looked terrible with those eyes and looks, what a change of eyes/wig and face up can do, uh?)

    26. I also use 16mm eyes for my DOCs with open eyes, and 14mm for tender eyes. My Tender Too, Kei, is wearing 14mm eyes in the photo that I posted earlier. ^^

Here are my other DOCs, all with 16mm eyes:
      Jae Sun (U) example 1 & example 2
      Riya (Twing-key) example 1 & example 2
      Seiga (Twin-B) example 1 & example 2 (Seiga has 16mm, Kei still obviously 14mm)

I no longer have my Twin-B, but I thought that I'd include him for comparison's sake. :3 I hope that this helps~

And about Angell-Studio clothes, I'm not sure how well they fit DOC boys. I have a boys' hanfu by them for Kei (photo), who is a hybrid with a Minifee boy body, and the sash won't close all the way on him... and the MNF body already has a much slimmer waist than the DOC boy body. So I'd be a bit vary when buying from them... I don't have other boys' clothes from AS, though, so I don't know if all of them are too slim at the waist or not. Unfortunately I don't own any shoes from them, so I have no idea about those. .__.; Hopefully someone else will know more. :)

    27. Thanks very much to everyone for answering my questions so fast and so thoroughly!
      Your help has really reduced all the stress of finding the right sizes and stuff - w -;

I think I'll be going with 16mm -- if I buy 14mm for smaller dolls in the future, then I guess I can try those out on him, but for now, I'd prefer him to look a little younger, and I think the bigger eyes will help that.

@Yumi and Mizya, thank you for providing the pictures with 14mm/16mm eyes -- it gives me a really good idea of what they look like on bigger-eyed DOCs.

    28. Ughhh, sorry again with my coming back and asking a ton of questions and not contributing to this in any way.

I was wondering: what about Dollmore? How do the shoes/clothes fit DOC boys? I read that Dollmore clothes fit but I've looked at the measurements and now I'm a bit worried.
Is there any big list of brands that will fit the DOC boy new body? Sorry, I'm kind of a newb to everything doll-related.

You guys have been extremely helpful (and tolerant of my peskiness). I would like to thank you profusely for that.

    29. DM shoes should fit most of the time. Their clothes are a bit of a hit or miss. In theory they should all fit, because they're general msd sized but sometimes I think they cut double seam allowances or something because their clothes vary hugely in size. I don't think I've ever gotten the right size of clothes from them, so I've stopped buying their stuff. :P General msd stuff should fit DoC boys, luts kid delf clothes etc.

    30. Ah, a new thread. So i crawl out of my hiding Hole and make a little Si Spam.
I have him now for over 6 Jears. I changed him so often. Never know what to do with him. I had no Background for him, no Character. Nothing.
And because of his big Eyes he did not fit in so well with my other Dolls. He always look so childish next to my Unoas and Naraes.
But he's so cute and i never brought it over my Heart to sell him.

Oh and the things with clothes. I never had a problem with clothing him. I always go to Ebay and take things there from mybayer or someone else. I never had a fitting problem....nah okay the sleeves and Pantlegs are a little long. But the overall fit is great.
And i never had problems with shoes from Ebay.
I bought an outfit from Dollmore. It was a...hm Kung Fu fighter...Martial Arts...Ninja whatever Outfit and it had a good fit too. But not sure about other thins from them.
And i had (... still have the outfit now for another Doll) an Angell Studio gray Chinese traditonell Outfit and i had absolutely no problem with the fit. Did the Bodies change that much?
Okay i visited D.O.D. and it looks like the same Body...so i guess i was lucky then with the chinese Dress.

    31. That Si is soooooo cute!!! :D please spam him more! his face up is not from DOD right? it is very beautiful!

Regular 'MSD' clothes should fit any DOC, dollmore is a hit or miss because they tend to be on the bigger size but I still like it, my favorite is Luts.

    32. No, i made a commission. I gave him hundred of thousand Face Ups and last year i decided to stop this. His head was more on my Desk then on his Shoulders... and because i'm greedy, the Face Up will stay this way till the Apocalypse...I talk to much nonsense:sweat
I will try to Post more in the future.

    33. My DoC babies are always a rare sight in terms of photo so I thought I should do my twin some justice today...

    34. They are adorable <3 Where did you get their outfits?

    35. Both from Angell Studio. Got the male one in HKDP 8 and I realise they don't sell that particular outfit in the website (Maybe I'm just blind).

    36. WOW~ :D :D they're both strikingly beautiful!!!

    37. @Yumi~ Thank you for your kind words <3

Actually, I do have another DoC.. Here is the photo of Cheshire <3

    38. Hera, your DOC are sooooo cute!

    39. @Hera is that a Leya? She's so cute! :D

    40. A bit spam for Kirill . It's such a long time since the last I take pic of Kou. 8D

    41. parapluie, This is a bit late but I'm happy if I could help! ^^ :aheartbea

Froschschenkel, He's very cute~ I really like his face up! :3

Hera, Your twins are beautiful, and so is your Leya! ^^

ticuk, Ahh, he's so cool! :D I have a soft spot for Us and Kirills, hehe~ I also love the name Kou. *-*

    42. @ Mizya : Thank you !! I like name Kou too .. very simple and cool. I also have a spot for Kirill and Petsha. :D

    43. [IMG]

Oh, by the way, here's my little Finn! (DOC Si)
      He's got a factory faceup for now, but one day I hope to give/buy him something a little more interesting u w u;;

(edit: ergh, sorry can't get photo to show up. please pardon my failure to exist)
(edit again: finally got it working. thanks a lot, yenna!)

    44. Everyone has such lovely little DoCs. Makes me want to photograph mine, too, but I need to make them some new clothes first...

parapluie, add http:// before the address and the photo will work. He's really cute. :3

    45. Heyy, you guys, I just thought of something!
      Do DOC clothes fit Minifees?
'cause what fits my Minifee seems to fit my RS boy pretty well <_<

    46. @Alchemist's Fire RS and Minifee are both pretty slim. DOC is a little chunkier. I've tried RS clothes on a DOC and it didn't fit, however, going in the reverse could be possible, but the clothes might be kind of big.

    47. It makes sense that RS clothes wouldn't fit a DOC, for sure. But I'm curious just howwww big/baggy DOC clothes would be on MNF/RS

Resinsoul also just released a new boy body that isn't quite so slim, so I'm getting curious again xD

    48. Can I request some Bee-A spam? ^__^

    49. Hi, everybody!

I'm just dropping in to ask a few questions, if that's okay with y'all. I was poking around on the DOD website earlier and I fell totally in love with the DOC Shiny Petsha. Her annoyed expression won my heart and I am definitely considering her for a second doll.

However, I'd like to chat with some owners before I buy. According to photos, it seems like DOC pose really well and look very natural. Is this true? I've also heard that there are some problems with DOD dolls being really fragile and breaking easily. I don't throw my dolls around, of course, but I do move around a lot since I'm in college.

Also, how long does it usually take them to ship orders? And does anyone have some solid measurements for the girl bodies? They didn't list foot size, head size, or height or anything on the doll's page.

Thanks for your help! Everyone's dolls look super adorable!

    50. @Hadlais Since you're looking at Petsha I assume you're talking about the new girl body. You might find more accurate measurements on that page.
I have one of these bodies and I can confirm they do pose pretty well (it can take some finagling, but still).

I don't feel like they're any more or less fragile than any other BJD, honestly. :/ I have also moved mine back and forth from college a few times, and as long as you keep the doll padded I don't see any problems.

As for shipping time, mine took about a month and a half, but that was a couple years ago.

    51. DoCs are superb posers with the newer more jointed bodies. Probably the most flexible msd's I've handled, but they are a bit harder to pose than most, I think. You might be interested in these comparisons I have, especially since you're also in the WD thread. xD

And like megpie252, said I don't think they're any more fragile than other dolls of the size. If they're strung tight, I'd avoid using pencils etc. as stoppers if you're taking them apart or changing parts, because they can bend the resin. But otherwise I haven't had problems with mine. Except for some broken fingers but most dolls break fingers if they fall on them on a stone/wood floor. :P

    52. Yenna - Would you believe that your comparisons lead me to check out DOD in the first place? XD I was pretty impressed by the posing ability and I liked the size comparison with the Withdoll girl. I thought it fit pretty well with a character I was imagining. And Shiny Petsha had the perfect face!

Megpie252 - Thanks for the information! I'm glad to hear they're not that fragile. I was looking at other threads that said DOD dolls had inconsistent resin quality and I was a little worried.

    53. I thought my boy posed pretty well, but he's my first doll, so I've never really had anything to compare him to...
I've never been able to get him anywhere near posed like megpie252's petsha up there. Is that just 'cause he's a boy, or could he be strung too tightly?

    54. @parapluie I had to pull up on the back joint and the thigh joints to get them to shift a little for that pose. But if you feel like you're having trouble with posing, it doesn't hurt to restring, or suede the joints. :)

    55. I have a DoC Yu from 2008, he has dropped on concrete floor from 5 feet up before and walked away without a scratch. He has paled in the last 5.5 years but he's still even all around and he poses like a dream ... when he feels like it.

      I hope that helps some?

EDIT: Here's a photo I took an hour ago.

    56. DoD was the first company that I ordered from and I would say that they are really pretty solid in terms of resin quality. If there happens to be any defects of any sort during shipping, you can always post a photo on their QnA forum or drop them an email and they'll see what they'll be able to do. (They're really nice and friendly when it comes to their responses!)

Posing wise, I can't say much as they're the first company I ordered from. But they come pretty tightly strung and you might wanna restring them for them to pose a little better.

Honestly, I think the waiting times really depend on when you decide to order the doll. If it's during the event period, it might take about 3 months or so. Best to check the waiting rooms for the current duration which you have to wait for your doll to arrive. XD

    57. Thank you for the information, everyone! I have another question, if you don't mind!

Where do you guys buy clothes for your DOC? I am most interested in girls' clothes, especially long dresses, but I'm a little stumped about where to look.

    58. It really depends to be honest. If you don't mind second-hand, the marketplace here is an option. If all other times, i get the clothes for my girl off taobao.com. some of their clothes there are relatively cheap and lovely at relatively low prices. XD

    59. My Lars! (homme kirill ns)
