Dream Valley 1/3 Doll Discussion

I am IMMEDIATELY hoarding ALL my spare money for this. 8|
He fits my Jester OC to a freaking T, and it's the very company I was looking at buying the 1/4th body on, OH MY GOD this is literally the best timing ever! I've never wanted a limited so bad in my life. D8

 

Uuuughh whyyy did they have to release SDs?? Now that is right down my alley and it'll be almost impossible to resist! That body looks so damn fine (pun somewhat intended)

 

I'm leaning towards getting Athos, I just love his pout. I also might just get a 1/3 body, but that sculpt is alluring.

Unfortunately 71 cm is just too big for me but god is this body beautiful. And I bet it poses just as well as the 1/4 male body, looks very similar! I feel like it'll be great for hybrids...

i have absolutely no reason to justify getting one of these boys right now but man am i slapping this bad boy on the wishlist! ya done did it again, dream valley. I'd be very curious to see how well they hybrid too; i've got one too many floating heads in the crew that certainly wouldn't mind being justification for me lmao

 

DV is quickly becoming my favorite company. This Athos sculpt is yanking at my heart. I don't even like SD's but damn man these sculpts are just too beautiful.

 

@Cloudedmind - I.... I read that wrong. D8 I thought the boys were limited, too as a special release for their new SDs!!

I emailed Denver Doll Emporium and they have them listed at their site now! ( They offer layaway) I have my eye on just the body alone.

 

Oh man, Elias is super beautiful! I ordered the fullset right away (I'm extra excited cause he's going to be my first SD!!)

It's not too early to start researching/comparing what size clothing these guys might fit, is it? ...maybe SD13?

Hey everyone!!! Did you all see the new 1/3 girls Dream Valley released today? Their names are Belinda and Cecelia and they're stunning (looks like DV's kicking off it's spring event too)

I worry though that DV might fall behind, since people are just now kind of getting shipping notices for their October event orders, no word yet on the Christmas ones, and their spring event is already getting started? I hooe they don't get too overwhelmed...

You guys were talking about how well this body would hybrid with other companies, and then just a few days ago, I saw the Mephisto.Pheles head from Doll Chateau. There's a slight size difference between the neck joints, but I'm wondering if some sanding to widen the space would work. It'd be a GREAT alternate head design for my character, if I ever wanted to swap between the two sculpts.

The thing is tho, is that his collar would almost completely hide his neck, anyway, so I guess if I go to do this, I'll show you guys the resin colors side by side and how they fit/if anything needed sanding? That way at least between DV and DC you could see how they'd look?

DC has always been incredibly spindly n spidery to me, but DV is like a more realistic version of it. I kinda wanna hybrid and see what happens anyway.

 

I did not know dream valley existed and wow! I'm getting the B70-01 body to try and match it up with the extensions + hands/feet from Doll Chateau's A-body-03. I'll be putting a IOS Elafi head on it and just work on it so it is hopefully not too top heavy. I'll be getting everything at the same time, if it ends up not working I already have a backup idea of what to do with it

 

Anyone here that having a DV female in 1/3 scale and maybe have some other SDs at home?

I have not been obsessed with a bjd for a long time and was relieved because of it. However, now that I've seen Athos and his gorgeous body I can't stop thinking of him. At first I thought the head face sculpt was not manly enough for the body or that it looked too small. However, now that I've been looking at it for over a two weeks I think it looks really great. I honestly can't justify a new doll. In fact I have over 15 I want to sell as I collected so many because of my BJD obsession. I'll just keep looking at him and luckily he's not limited so he can wait.

 

I am just starting a layaway with BJDivas for the new girl from Dream Valley Z7 the fullset blew me away. Not getting the guns, as hate guns. Instead she will yield at least one katana, maybe two.

 

I can't believe I forgot to find this board. I've been having fun with my new DV Cecelia. It took a bit to get all her human parts (they accidentally sent the winged torso instead) but it's been lovely having her with all the correct pieces.

I'd love to introduce Emily Marie Harding, or Emy for short. Ooooh I can't wait to get her body blushing done.

Where did you find her outfit? (I have one of the 1/3 boys from DV and I'm having trouble finding something to fit...)

 

She's actually a mismatch of things. 1/4 shirts fit the best, 1/3 pants and skirts (sometimes the waist is too big and needs to be pinned). But with winter her clothes are kinda baggy anyways. I'll be making her some better fitting clothes soon though.

 

Does anyone have Lloyd? I saw he's on the discontinue list and he'd been tempting for a while

 

Hello guys Just wondering if anyone has owner photos of Qing or Elias since I'm looking at them for the purple resin event.

 

Still waiting on my girl. Paid her off in January and still no word. This makes it now seven months. I hope they are all o.k. since this virus but haven't heard from any doll companies except Little Rebel.

She's so striking! Is that the default faceup? Do you happen to have any front-facing photos of her?

 

That's the default, yes... And I only had time for the one snapshot this afternoon. I'll take a few more of her when her brother (my long, long-awaited Athos) arrives this weekend.

Did you get her blank or with faceup?

 

I don't know. I wasn't willing to pay extra but her description said she came with face up. It also said, wig, boots and full outfit which I knew I was paying for. Until she arrives I am not 100% sure. Just no guns, didn't want or pay for those.

 

'Sounds like you got the full-set version, so she SHOULD come with a face-up.

 

I am hoping I got the full set as she cost me quite a bit.

 

Please share some photos when she arrives! I've been waiting for owner pics to appear before I make a decision whether she fits the character I'd like to shell.

Could anyone help me out? I will be getting some wings made for my girl (hopefully), but I need measurements of B56-01 body's back. I need know how far it is between the shoulders/how wide the upper torso is at the arms, and how far from the base of the neck to the bottom of the top torso piece is. I would GREATLY appreciate any help!

How do you like the body? I have not seen a review on it.. but it was just so pretty and perfect for the character, I had to get it.

 

I love it. It poses nicely. The hands are a little loosey goosey with the magnets, but not a big issue. Only issue so far is /finding clothes/. Oh. My. GOD. 1/3 Jeans, pants and skirts fit...and 1/4 shirts fit the chest (she has the bigger one) and rib cage. Problem this makes is finding 1-piece clothes like dresses and such.

 

I already have one girl like this, I suspected this body might be the same. Thank goodness for customizers, I am gonna need one for her for sure!

 

My Dream Valley Girl Z7 is arriving today. Will take photos over the weekend. And share asap.

@Peneyofdeath Hey, does your SD girl actually fit SD tops or do they just look bad on such a slim body? I'm looking at it for a character, but I'm hoping that I can just use regular 1/3 clothes.
