Just placed a wire transfer for my order..was the most terrifying experience ever. My bank (halifax) has a system that has nowhere to put the order number...they dont have a comments box or anything. I was so insistent that it was put on there that they took out a telephone number from DoD's bank and put my order number in there. Ive emailed DoD to let them know this...omg i hope they understand. (im a uk customer so other ukers who bank with Halifax be warned).
I just left an answer for you on DOD's site. I should have looked here first There's not a lot of space to answer over there. Basically, I suggested emailing DOD, using very simple language and give them all the details of the transfer. Tell them what date it was done, the name and location of your bank, your delivery address and Order no, what doll/items you've ordered and when you ordered them. I'd also ask them to confirm when they receive your payment. Hopefully that covers everything

I was persnally thrilled when my first DOD came in! I bought a DOT Sha and I love him to death! He is simply beautiful in every way and I couldn't imagin a more perfect doll! The faceup was great (I got a light brown) and working with the company themselves was fantastic! When ever I had a question, I could email them and get a reply within 1-2 days with a very good, polite response! I used the Bank Wire Transfer and it couldn't have gone smoother, I made my order, ran to the bank and within a few hours I got a notice saying my Sha was paid for and my order was in production. The only problem I came across was the wait time, they say on the site expect 4-6 weeks for shipping... but even knowing that it was hard to wait! My order went in on September 16th, and my boy arrived home November 14th. I am extremly happy with everything about DOD, the packaging for the delivery was very well done with enough bubble wrap cover my living room! XD But I am very thankful for it and my boy arrived in great condition. His stringing is pretty tight right now, but playing around with him it's gotten a bit looser and it's easy to put him into positions. I think DOD is a great company and I will for sure be buying from them again

It is the only body I've ever seen in person though but I can compare it to Souldoll resin(his head)and I think it is very nice. I think it is a bit prettier in person. Were you satisfied with the product? - I was and am quite satisfied. Note-I would order from them again. All in all I am happy but there is just one thing.... The resin had a smell like fresh plastic. It was not that bad and is almost completely gone but I did not like it. If you are very sensitive to smells be careful when opening the box. Washing seemed to help but I think it still needs to be aired out a little.

My Sorren looked even better than the pictures and my E-an looked just same as the picutres. Where you satisfied with the product: I was quite satisfied with all three dolls. Personal note:DOD gave me the feeling that their costumer service was a bit unstable. I always knew they took their time before answering emails, but the thing that looked strange it was that some times they were very friendly and polite while others they seemed like they were doing me a favor for selling me their dolls. Also I had a very bad communication/ experience/ costumer service with my last doll. The doll arrived in perfect shape etc but there was an unpleasant feeling in the entire deal which eventually lead me to totally dislike the doll, left me some very unpleasant memories and promised to myself not to buy from them again.

What did you order? I participated in a split order for a Tender E-an (others were keeping the outfit, wig, hat, and extra open-eyed E-an head). When did you order? Late February, 2007 How was the communication? I wasn't the one placing the order, so I can't contribute anything in regards to payment and communication with the company. How easy was it to pay? See above answer How long did it take to ship? Just about 8 weeks. The package was sent to me since I was keeping the largest part of the order, and it was very well packed. Everything was securely bubble-wrapped and padded. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The sculpt is beautiful, poses wonderfully, and the resin is great quality... but she didn't seem nearly as "finished" as dolls I've received from other companies. Her seam lines were very apparent and unsanded, and the hole in the bottom of her head had an excess "spar" of resin sticking into it, leftover from casting and not removed. It rubbed against the elastic and started cutting into it, so I had to sand down the "spar". The eyewells seemed a bit lumpy, causing eyes to sit funny in her head. The extra fist hands have a strange lump between the index finger and thumb, like she's squeezing a ball of clay inside her fist and it's oozing out. Essentially, I felt that I was getting a fairly raw cast. If I could do it all over, I would pay the price again, because I love the sculpt so much. However, I feel that some other companies charge a similar amount for a more finished-looking end product. Did the item look like the sales pictures? More or less. There's a strange part of the sculpt where the bottom of her nose meets her face, but it's there on the sales pics if you look closely. I just didn't notice it. ^_~ Were you satisfied with the product? Yes and no. I don't mind working on my dolls (actually I love it... it helps me bond with the doll), so the extra work to sand seams, smooth off edges, and bevel her eyewells didn't bother me. I love her, and she's one of my favorite dolls, but it took some work to get her there. I guess I'm more annoyed with the fact that I wasn't warned I'd be getting such an unfinished product. If I'd known, I still would have bought her, since I like the work. But I feel that they should let people know that they do not do as much finishing as is usually expected. I thought I should share this experience, as others might not enjoy the work as much as me. Then again, they may just have been very busy at the time and I might have gotten a doll that slipped through the cracks... you never know. ^_~

Such great communication~! How easy was it to pay? Very easy! They started to allow paypal again~ and when I added the extra parts they just gave me the total and I paid again through paypal. Very good for DOD, I emailed them for the status and I got a reply the next day. Though perhaps they should have sent an email to everyone earlier saying there would be a delay. How easy was it to pay? Very easy. It was during the event and they took Paypal. How long did it take to ship? An extremely long time. It was finally shipped March 17, 2008, around 80 days or 11 weeks. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? It is a high quality doll, but being new to BJD's I don't think a doll should be what I paid ($749) Still it is a wonderful doll, and I have no complaints. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Basically, I didn't realize his face was kinda blushed and his eyebrows go up slightly, but really it was just little things like that. Were you satisfied with the product? I am satisfied, he is beautiful! DOD answered my email, and also did what I requested...brown eyes, his wig in the picture, and for his makeup to me as close to his pictures as possible. The faceup is breathtaking. The seam lines are not sanded down, but they are barely noticeable. I was not happy with my wait, however I did order during an event and was familiar with DOD, so I expected a long wait time. I would buy from them again. Kiyoshi was able to stand right out of the box. The resin feels smooth and looks wonderful. The clothes are excellent quality and feel and look like real clothes. The fur wig is great quality too, though it is much more purple tinged then I thought. He has made me a true believer in BJD's. All other dolls but them pale in comparison, and this is coming from someone who collects and has many different types of toys.

I sent an email to DOD about this and they told me that they will replace the broken hands for free. So yeah I´m really satisfied.

Although I haven't gotten my boy yet I really do love the way that DoD was so kind to my emails. They only took between 12-48 hours to answer my emails, but I noticed posting on the new Q&A boards are even faster. After I had put in my order for my Sha I wanted to change the face up option and they were fine with it. I gave them a picture of a simple face up that I liked and they said OK! I was just ecstatic that they were so willing to that!

It was excellent. They replied to all my inquiries very quickly and nicely. How easy was it to pay? Well, that was a little problem for my dad, as I was using his cc. But DOD emailed him and explained to him why they needed his info and he felt better afterwards. Next time I'll probably use paypal though. How long did it take to ship? I think about 6 weeks! I am also thinking of making a purchase to DoD. So if anyone can answer any or all of these questions I thank you in advance. 1/Do they take payments/layaway? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the site, I'm guessing no, but I want to be positive. 2/Do they have any free shipping over ??? or specials or deals or anything like that? My friend said that the shipping for her was about $80 I'd really like to know if there is anyway to avoid it like on dollmore. 3/Can you really get sold out clothing items if you email them? 1.- They do not. 2.- They don't do the free shipping either, maybe try saving by joining a group order? 3.- I have heard that you can, I haven't done it though so I can't say for sure.
1 - nope as answered above 2 - no free shipping (though on the contest prizes yes) but they do have events from time to time. Last year was the Valentine event where you got a pair of DoCs for quite a good deal, this year was a free DoT limited head. To save on shipping best idea is to find someone local, and split the cost or do a group order 3 - yes. I got a pair of shoes and some clothes this way. Now you can also use the Q&A board (use the right section though) to ask which may be faster. However if they don't have the materials anymore then there is a chance the outfit you want isn't available. Limited items though are not available anymore (like the Black Shall outfit for example)

I have a question. ^^' I put in an order for my doll a few days ago, and I'm paying through Paypal. After I completed my order, I checked my email. I had recieved the "reciept", but several days later I'm still waiting on an email from paypal so that I can pay. Is this sort of delay typical, or should I contact them...??? Any help is loved! X3

I contacted D.o.D. about his cracked thigh and they sent me a replacement part free of charge. I received it a little over a week after contacting them about it.

it is quite typical; it took several days for them to accept the money from paypal. if a week goes by with no response, email DoD and find out what is going on

i love my doc so much he looks so much better that the pictures ive found that dod is a very reliable site. i had wondeful service sadley though to my knowlage they have discontinued the dod carrier bags and instead are sending them in special boxes. but the bag was just a plus the doll are worth every cent

April 14th for the doll and face up, the clothes were ordered on three separate occasions after the initial order for the doll. How was the communication? Excellent. I couldn't be happier! DoD have always responded to my emails within 24 hours and the same for when I used the Q&A board to ask questions too. How easy was it to pay? I used Paypal so it was easy; although I have to admit, if I weren't used to manually sending money to people, I'd have wondered how to go about paying the amount. How long did it take to ship? Mm... they shipped everything out to me on the 8th week. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, definitely. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Asides from a different face up, everything else about my doll was more or less exactly as it was in the pictures. The clothes are pretty much the same as shown in the photos too, except for one of the outfits I bought where the pants seem a shade darker than the rest of the outfit (but you can't really see the pants in the photos for that outfit anyway, so I won't complain lol) Were you satisfied with the product? Over all, despite the long wait and the fact my doll got stuck in customs (no fault of DoD's), I am very satisfied with my doll and also with the clothes I ordered too. If there is anything that I'm not satisfied with, it's probably a very minor detail with my doll's left eye's opening which seems slightly smaller than the other eye. To be honest, I'm not sure if that's part of the doll's features or not, since it does kind of make my doll look like he's attempting to wink cheekily at me (which is cute ). It's not too noticeable unless you stare at his eyes forever

He definitely is, I completely love him, but unfortunately he had a crack in his thigh, above his knee joint when he arrived. Did the item look like the sales pictures?
