I wanted to know to do you have to pay two time for a face-up for Bee-a and Too I know someone just asked but I cant kind the what pple said about it.
As far as I know, you do. Two dolls = two faceup charges. Incidentally, my boy has a light brown faceup, if anyone wants pics...? He's a Kirill, I don't know if that matters or not.
Well, I'll be there for about a month and a half, and I also have family over there in case there is a delay... I did a pretend order to see how much the shipping was, and for the US it was $240 USD. For China, it was only $85 USD for the same order.
Indeed, because unless you you bought 4 dolls and a lot of other stuff it can never get so high. My doll came with extra's as well and the shipping was just $50
I think it's standard with that body, to be honest...I ordered it for my Yen girl, just the body, and it came with the sword hands.
My boy was very well packaged when he came, lots of bubble wrap!! *O* Also a huge box for safety ^^ I only ever used bank wire when purchasing from them , so i'm not too sure about paying via any other methods ^^;; DOD can be quite slow when responding to emails, it really depends on your "luck" i assume @_@? I'm not too happy with the quality of their resin (particularly homme ducans). My boy's knee chipped off for no apparent reason @_@;; a week later, my friend's doll's knee also chipped off D: However DOD was quick and nice enough to send me 2 spare parts to replace the injured part and i only needed to pay for the shipping. their faceup are gorgeous though *O* simply love i'm guessing store credit is to be earned, like points so you can reddem something in future..? i think @_@;;
* What did you order? I ran a group order. One body, two heads, a pair of feet, and a couple of wigs. * When did you order? April 24th * How was the communication? They have craptastic customer service. If it isn't perfect, they get defensive. * How easy was it to pay? It wasn't. This was during the great PayPal debacle. It took me a month and lots of discussion with my group to finally get to the point where I could pay again because they had reinstated PayPal. * How long did it take to ship? Five weeks. It shipped on June 1, which as I recall was a Friday. I had the items on the Monday. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes. * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? My problem is with their horrendous customer service. AND since they have nixed PayPal indefinitely, I won't be buying from them again. Unless someone else wants to put their information at risk by *faxing* it to Korea? No way, Jose. They have shot themselves in the foot, officially. They have a great product but either someone needs socialization classes or a new customer service rep.
Gah... I was thinking about buying a homme ducan... Did the knee just fall off randomly? o.O That's strange... but apart from that, is the rest of the body ok? No weird cracks, etc? Oooh... they did? That was really nice of them. When did the knee break off? (from the time you bought it)
i emailed them billions of times AND the homme ducan leg thing was never settled. erm, i only got homme ducan(brokenragdoll's) via paypal. everything was ok.
Oooh... do all homme ducans have bad legs? Is it the resin thickness? You bought homme ducan secondhand? Hmmm... that might be why they didn't send you spare parts? Idk...
I've not had a problem with my HD and I've had him almost a year so, no, it's not a problem with all Homme Ducans.
My ducan is almost 2 months old and all I can say that he's very handsome!! When he arrived he was bit floppy but I managed to fix it... and for me she still need some sueding in thigh joint and shoulders to do proper posing ehehe...
iraelys>> ahhh nooo. ACtually i helped brokenragdoll to get her HOMME DUCAN. XD only my t.shall's second hand :3
he was strung a bit loose... But I manage to fix it... no worries. I'm very careful with my boy....and never had any problems like a part of him chips off.... I guess the reason why a part of knee chipped off is because how you bend it... You should pull it and bend not just bend it let the knee pops out... The knee part have a lock so it could stand to his own...
What did you order? - DOT Homme Ducan When did you order? - June 29 2007 How was the communication? - They usually respond to my email within 1-3 days... They're very kind. ^_^ How easy was it to pay? - I used wire transfer and after 3 days they received my payment without any trouble. How long did it take to ship? - They shipped my doll after 6 weeks and takes around 4 days before I got it. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - I love the color! Pinkinsh! although he's bit loose but he's still sturdy and his resin a very good quality. Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Yes, more beautiful than the picture in their website. Were you satisfied with the product? - Yes, definitely... ^__^
* What did you order? DoC Homme Kirill w/faceup * When did you order? May 31, 2007 * How was the communication? NOT great. Though they did get back to me on my email question, it took four days. * How easy was it to pay? Cakewalk. Credit card in, boom, done. This was before the major push for credit card verification, mind you. * How long did it take to ship? Five and a half weeks, much faster than the expected time at that point. They actually put a little bit of a rush on him because I'd said I really, really wanted it by a given time...and they delivered, with a day to spare. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Better. Shirou is the best stander out of all my dolls, I adore his resin color and the slight ethereal shimmer it seems to have, and the faceup is stunning. Seams on his limbs, but nothing super-noticeable and as he's always in long pants it's no big deal. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Not exactly, but then again I got a light brown faceup and not the default so I expected that. * Were you satisfied with the product? Absolutely. * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? As I said, they came through for me on the shipping and I'm extremely grateful. I'm not sure if I'll be ordering from them again since I don't think any of their boys fit into my future doll plans, but if they do I'd be happy to give them my business.
Oooh... I didn't know there were certain things you should do when posing your doll to prevent any accidents or injuries to the doll. So you're supposed to pull the leg, and then bend? Is that the same for all the other parts too?
What did you order? - DoT Homme Ducan with faceup and outfit, plus an extra outfit. When did you order? - January 19th 2007 How was the communication? - It takes a few days for them to respond to emails, but they answered all of my questions thoroughly and added items to my order with no fuss. Also they were very quick to deal with a broken part. *see bottom of post for more details on this How easy was it to pay? - I paid via Paypal and it was easy and fast. How long did it take to ship? - He shipped after only 3 weeks, arriving at the end of the 4th week. MUCH quicker than I expected him to be home! Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - I would say he is equal in quality to similarly priced dolls. The clothes, not so much. His default outfit doesn't fit him very well and pieces broke off the other outfit, they're very flimsy and not quite as nice as I would expect for what I paid. Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Mostly yes, DoD's sale pictures are prettier than he is. Were you satisfied with the product? - Yes, I'm very happy with him. Wish I had saved some cash and passed on the clothes though. *When he arrived his leg was cracked and the piece broke off when touched. Dream of Doll answered my emails swiftly and replaced the broken part via EMS at their own expense without requiring me to sen the damaged piece to them.
What did you order? - Petsha Elf Fullset When did you order? - November 2006 How was the communication? - Didn't receive response to email question but got emails on payment received and when it shipped How easy was it to pay? -Relatively easy by paypal How long did it take to ship? - Shipped in about 6 weeks Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - The quality was acceptable for the price. I was not too happy with the resin quality. The resin had a rank smell for months and still has a faint smell of new resin. The doll itself posed rather well but leg seams were quite messy Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Not completely the eye sockets had excess resin and when the included glass eyes were put in she looked crosseyed Were you satisfied with the product? - Not completely. I could live with slow shipping but the rank resin smell and really bad seams are not at all pleasing. The price is cheap for the size doll but it's a personal thing on the rank resin smell
What did you order? DOC - Too & Bee-A When did you order? 14th February 2007 How was the communication? Wonderfull, answered all my emails so kindly! How easy was it to pay? I used Paypal so it was very easy. How long did it take to ship? Shipped after 5 weeks, was originally supposed to be 7 according to the emails DOD sent me, but they shipped them out sooner when i explained my split situation. The dolls arrived the day before my split partner came Just in time! Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The resin is lovely, albiet a tad shiny in places. But the whole weight of the doll, it feels worth the price. Good weight and a strong structure, i don't feel like i'm going to break him at all. Did the item look like the sales pictures? I always thought the Too and Bee-A on the DOD site weren't the best looking dolls! But in person, they're just so adorable. The pictures don't do them justice. The only nit-pick i have is that the skin colour is a bit paler than what the site shows. Were you satisfied with the product? More so than~ Can't wait to order again!
While this thread is here, I want to ask a silly question about the wire transfers. I went into my bank to do it today, and the bank said I need a beneficiary address, above and beyond what was provided by DOD. Should I just use the business address on their website? Also, if I want to change my order and get a faceup added to it, how quickly should I expect a response?
I don know if this is the right place to post this, but I have a complain about DoD. They just don't answer to my emails. None of them. I first tried to place an email order as I wanted some out of stock items, but after mailing them several times I gave up and placed an order in the traditional way, so I ordered just half the items I wanted, and asked for the missing items as a comment. I received an automatic answer but nothing else (so my mail server DOES receive mails from theirs). As I paid with credit card, I sent them scanned copies of it and of my identity card by email. Twice, as I was not sure if they had received them, and their pop ups about scammers are a bit frightening. No answer again, but my credit card has been charged the original order amount so I guess they've received it (no pop up window against me either). Now, I'm sending them sensible information (I'm not even sure if sending a scanned copy of my credit card by email is safe) so they should at least say something about it. At least a short "Thanks, I've received it". Some friends who have actually received an answer have adviced me to change my mail server as they have problems with some accounts. So I switched to gmail, even if I think it them who should switch their accounts - they should provide service to us, not us to them!, but no news yet. We're talking high amounts of money here. If that's all the service they provide, no matter how much I like their dolls, I doubt I'll buy from them again. Moreover, their dolls may be beautiful or pose quite well (I have an E-An purchased on their Hiroshima shop), but their quality, nowadays, isn't as good either. Not only seams are not sanded anymore (people may say this is not important as other brands don't sand them either, but as they sanded them at first, I think not sanding them anymore is a lack of service too), but also they're not just seams, but both halfs of the part around the seam don't seem to fit so you don't have to sand only the seam but also part of the doll to make it fit. That's a bad quality standard. And their resin tone changes terribly from batch to batch. One can expect slight variations of tone from one batch to another, but this year's dolls just seem white skinned compared to last year ones, so there's no way that a replacement part purchased this year can fit an older doll. I don't think this is a good thing either. I've read of people whose dolls had even worse problems, I told them to write (and post pictures here). Dream of Doll is a brand a lot of people love. They have beautiful dolls, wonderful outfits and gorgeous make ups. I think we should make them clear they should keep on making good quality dolls and care a bit about their customers, because in this very moment the service customer and the quality of much cheaper dolls is much better than theirs and this may end up of them loosing sales. Personally, I'm not going to buy from them anymore, unless they start replying to a single email of mine. Thanks for reading this
I bought my first doll from DOD What did you order? - DOT H Ducan with default faceup. When did you order? - 27th March 2007 How was the communication? - Good, I had a small special request for eyes and face-up modification. They replied usually within 2-3 days. How easy was it to pay? - Simple. I had bad experience with Paypal in the past so I prefer direct CC payment. For DOD I had no problem with CC payment. How long did it take to ship? - 5 weeks. He was my first and I did not know of DOA at the time, so the wait felt much shorter (since I was busy with work and not counting down the days....LOL) Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - Most definitely. His faceup 100% PERFECT, better than what I thought, small problem with standing but can be fixed with good balancing. The default wig and outfit were not as good as I thought. the pants were too small and the wig requires too much styling for me. Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Yes Were you satisfied with the product? - VERY, I am getting another one from DOD.
What did you order? - Outfit, wigs and eyes When did you order? - 22nd June 2007 How was the communication? - Fantastic, shipping notice was received the same day I ordered and paid How easy was it to pay? - Simple, CC. I used the same CC as for my doll from 2.5 months ago; I did fax again the verification How long did it take to ship? - Items were shipped out the same day, I got them in US in 3 days!!! Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - Most definitely Did the item look like the sales pictures? - Yes Were you satisfied with the product? - Yes
Oooh... I'd love to know the answer to that too... I'm thinking of doing a wire transfer. Oh! And btw... I know DOD accepts credit cards... but do debit cards also count? Because I don't have a credit card... only a debit card.
BlueSand posted this info earlier in the thread and it should help. Payment information -Name of Bank : SHINHAN BANK -Account Number: : 961-71-002738 -Beneficiary: : KIM EUN HEE -Address of Bank : MOK-DONG 11TH BRANCH,SEOUL -Shift Code : shbkkres -Bank Tel. : 81-2-2648-792 That should be all your bank needs. Don't forget to include your Order No on the wire transfer as a reference point for DOD.
I ordered my doll with my debit card, went through just fine. As long as it's a Visa/MC debit card and not just an ATM card, you ought to be golden. Still going to have to jump through the various CC verification hoops, though.
I'm considering to order from Dream of Doll, but I've heard that "their service is going downhill." Has anyone ordered from them recently and want to tell me about it? Umm. Here's some questions; Did they respond to your e-mails in a positive way? (or not?) Was their service the way you expected it to be? If they took a long time on your doll, did they tell you? *sweats because I'm running out of ideas for questions* Would you buy from them again? Was the doll in good condition (it doesn't matter what doll) Was the BOX in good condition (...well...you dont need to respond to this one) That's it. Unless i wake up in the middle of the night and figure out some more questions. ^^ Thank you for answering if you do~
Bump for you sweetie! Sorry I don't know about their quality but I'm planning on buying one of their dolls as well.. I'm pretty sure there are several threads around on this topic, have you taken a look?
Well just to answer a few questions since I just recently bought a DOC body from them... Did they respond to your e-mails in a positive way? (or not?) I wouldn't say in a positive way but at least they let me know things that I want to know, but sometimes their answers totally miss my questions... So far they've replied me within 48 hours. Was their service the way you expected it to be? Pretty much yea... I've heard about the long shipping time DOD takes so I sort of put in a 4-5 week wait for myself before planning to panic... But it was all good... ^_^ If they took a long time on your doll, did they tell you? The body was shipped within my expected time-frame... Would you buy from them again? Unsure... Probably... *shrugs* If they come up with another doll I totally love then yea... Was the doll in good condition (it doesn't matter what doll) Yup... They packed the body nicely with tons of bubble-wrap and pillows in a lovely DOD carrier bag... And they just place the bag in the box and send it off... Pretty much it was the bag itself that protected the doll, and the box for extra protection... Hope I managed to answer your questions...
Both of my dolls are from DOD, I got them in April and August. They both came in wonderful condition, they had some seams..but nothing a little sanding can't fix I'm not sure about responding to e-mails, since I never sent one. But they did send me e-mails once my payment was recived and once my doll was shipped. They told me from the start that the dolls would take something like 6 weeks. I want to buy from them again, they did fantastic makeup on the dolls. The box and the doll were in good condition, my second doll's carrier bag was a little smooshed, but nothing was damaged, and it was only in a small corner.
>> Did they respond to your e-mails in a positive way? (or not?) Yes they do. Sometimes on the day itself but usually after 2-3 days. >> Was their service the way you expected it to be? Yeah, they're nice. >> If they took a long time on your doll, did they tell you? My doll arrived exactly 6 weeks like they said. >> Would you buy from them again? of course. *points at sig* >> Was the doll in good condition (it doesn't matter what doll) Yes. Perfect condition ^__^ There are seams but it's ok... >> Was the BOX in good condition (...well...you dont need to respond to this one) Yes....
These questions have been asked alot! I've seen another one of these threads recently, try do a bit of searching before asking. There's also the company feedback forum that has a thread on DOD that's worth checking out. Did they respond to your e-mails in a positive way? (or not?) Yes they responded to be within a few days and were polite and understanding doing their best to ensure my doll arrived in time for my meet with my split-partner. They don't respond to every email, but every mail i have recieved from them has been polite and gave me an accurate answer to my question. Was their service the way you expected it to be? Yes it was exactly as many people have said on the forums. The wait was to be expected. I had no trouble contacting them. If they took a long time on your doll, did they tell you? I emailed them when my doll didn't ship 2 days after the date they said he would in a previous email. They apologized fully and explained what was happening with my doll and offered to ship him out priority. (I had ordered during an event) Would you buy from them again? Already have bought another doll from them. Was the doll in good condition Yes he was in perfect condition. Was the BOX in good condition It's not DOD's fault if the box gets bashed in the post. That's the postal service to blame.
ClareLaPoo to answer your question I'll refer you to this thread on company feedback: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171402 I'm moving the previous posts above to that thread as they belong in there to help others long term. I moved your post here
Might as well throw mine in too What did you order? - DOT Shall When did you order? - April 2007 How was the communication? - Pretty decent, I only had to email them once, about how long it would take to get my doll shipped out. They were honest and said it would take a bit, because they were backed up with orders. But the next day, she was shipped out How easy was it to pay? - Really easy. They still had paypal then, so it was no trouble to pay at all. How long did it take to ship? - 7 weeks from the point of ordering to where she was delivered to my door step. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? - She was worth every cent. Her resin is smooth and and pinky-pretty, weighted without being too heavy and very easy to pose. Did the item look like the sales pictures? - I ordered her without a face up, so yes and no. Were you satisfied with the product? - Quite satisfied, she's my favorite doll thus far, and she's the first one I got.
Does anyone know if DoD offers insurance on their dolls? If so do they automatically insure them or do you have to ask for it?
* What did you order? DOT Ducan, some clothes * When did you order? July 2007 for Ducan, June 2007 for the clothes * How was the communication? Good. They answered all my e-mails in at least 2 days. * How easy was it to pay? I paid by Paypal, before they stopped using it, so it was very easy. * How long did it take to ship? Ducan shipped in 5 weeks and the clothes in 3 weeks. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? The clothes I ordered were out of stock and they made them when I asked and they fit perfectly. I am over the moon about my Ducan, he is wonderful!! The only complaint I have is that I also ordered his default outfit when I ordered Ducan and his pants do not fit. So that is strange, but it was nothing I could not fix. I think DOD is a great company and I have never had a problem with them and their shipping times are decent and their dolls are beautiful!
I've ordered 4 dolls from them (at different times) so I'm filling it out more than once~ What did you order? DOC U & DOC Mir When did you order? January 29th 2006 How was the communication? I sent them an email about face up (making sure the U had default and Mir had peach, I ordered them but there isn't an option to select which for which doll, so I let them know), they responded within a couple days. I emailed later to change my shipping address (there was a piece missing) and they added it for me quickly. They were very friendly in both situations. How easy was it to pay? Very easy, I used Paypal. How long did it take to ship? Around 6 weeks. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Exactly as shown. Were you satisfied with the product? Very. What did you order? DOT Elf Ducan When did you order? July 4th 2006 How was the communication? I had no questions, but they sent me emails within 24 hours of payment and an email when he had shipped. How easy was it to pay? Very easy, I used Paypal. How long did it take to ship? Around 5-6 weeks. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Most definitely. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Exactly as shown. Were you satisfied with the product? Very. What did you order? DOC Tender Yen When did you order? February 2007 (I don't remember the exact day, it was some time during the V-day event) How was the communication? I sent them an email asking about shipping times being delayed due to the event (and therefore a large number of dolls being made) and they didn't reply, however I sent them another with simpler wording (since they have to translate, sometimes if it's too complicated, they don't understand, not to mention there aren't that many people working as it is a small company) and they responded a day or so later saying my doll would be shipped the following week. How easy was it to pay? Very easy, I used Paypal. How long did it take to ship? Around 7-8 weeks. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, though he didn't seem as sturdy as my two I got the year before, I had no real complaints. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Exactly as shown. Were you satisfied with the product? Very. Overall I haven't had a bad experience with them at all. I found them to be very friendly. I will be ordering from them in the future for sure. X3
Well even though I didn't get an answer about insurance, I went ahead and ordered a doll from DOD anyways. My question is about the actual wire transfer. When I went to do the wire transfer the swift code wasn't quite right. The banker was nice enough to do a bit of searching and found the same bank name with just the last 2 letters switched of the swift code. I told him to go ahead because it seemed like it was probably just a simple typo. However later, the address wasn't quite right either. It seemed like the adress given by DOD was possibly just a branch of a larger bank in Korea, since everything else was the same. I kept telling him to just go ahead but now I'm at home feeling a bit worried, I don't want to have lost all that money sending it to the wrong place! Can someone please tell me if anything like this happened when they were doing a wire transfer?
Three different orders... :'] What did you order? DoT Camine When did you order? Mid-August 2006 How was the communication? Not much to it really. Got my fast payment confirmation... I can't remember there being a shipping notice about it though. How easy was it to pay? Pretty easy. Used a credit card. How long did it take to ship? About 5 weeks. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yup. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yup. Were you satisfied with the product? Very. What did you order? DoT D-137 outfit When did you order? ... I can't remember.. xD How was the communication? I inquired about getting the sold out outfit and they replied within a matter of days. Pretty friendly with me. How easy was it to pay? Easy. Used Paypal. How long did it take to ship? A week to two weeks, being that it was a sold out outfit. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yup. Did the item look like the sales pictures? The belts on the legs were a lot longer than I had expected them to be, but the rest was accurate. Were you satisfied with the product? Very. What did you order? DoT Homme Ducan w/ Default outfit When did you order? November 2006 How was the communication? Not much really. I got my payment confirmation, and again, I can't remember if there was a shipping notice. How easy was it to pay? Easy. Used Paypal. How long did it take to ship? About 8 weeks. xD; Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Just a few kinks here and there with the default outfit, but nothing that ultimately changed its general appearance. Were you satisfied with the product? Very.
Sorry, a really silly question: I want to order an Elf Ducan, but he!s a limited doll, and out of stock. That means I have no way of getting him? I`ve never had a doll before, so I have no clue what to look for in a good quality doll, but so far I`ve only liked DoD`s dolls. I hope it is a good brnad, it seems like a lot of people love this brand.
Not a silly question at all! No, once a limited doll is out of stock, that's it for him. You're best bet is to bide your time, get your feedback up, and get one at the marketplace here at DOA. You have a much better chance at getting a limited doll here than on E-bay, and the prices and people are much better. Good luck!
~What did you order? DoC TwingKey w/brown face up and old body type ~When did you order? Aug 9th, 2007 ~How was the communication? Even though I had to write them roughly 5 times they replied in 2-5 days for each letter I wrote. All their emails were polite, but they were often vague and after awhile I felt as if they were making excuses for the delay in my order. ~How easy was it to pay? Very easy! I paid by credit card and although I had to scan ID and the card I sent it via email as an attachment and in roughly 2 days it was accepted. ~How long did it take to ship? NINE weeks! A bit too long of a wait for me. They wrote me an email saying 5 weeks and when I didn't receive a shipping notice after that time I started writing them. ~Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I think so! I'm very pleased with her so far and love the skin tone, the height, the face up, basically everything about her! The seams aren't exactly sanded to invisibility, but are not rough at all. ~Did the item look like the sales pictures? I can tell it's the face mold, but I do believe she looks very much her unique self which doesn't bother me at all because I find her beautiful ^^ ~Were you satisfied with the product? I am definitely happy! ~If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? My main complaint is the time it took for them to ship her. After the 5th week of a promised shipping I wrote them for each week over. They replied politely as I said, but kept coming up with "excuses" as to why they were late. "Popular mold", "Holiday", "Remaking mold", etc...I can say I was not happy with each new email I received. In the last one they promised me a small gift for the delay and they were indeed true to their word - one wig and three eyelash sets. I can't argue against that ^^ I think if she were not my first doll I would not have been so anxious and worried at every turn, but then again I think for every doll you order you feel the same anxiety and hoping for a timely shipping. Will I order from them again? I'm not sure...
In case anyone wanted to know, this went through fine. So if you are doing a wire transfer and these things come up wrong, then it's fine and it is the DoD bank account.
It's been a month less a day since the bank transfer went through, and my boy's head left Korea yesterday. So far I can say I'm satisfied, but I'll update once he gets here ^_^ Actually, my bank wanted the address of the beneficiary, not just the information that DOD provided. They refused to do it with just the above information. I just ended up using DODs business address as stated on their site somewhere and everything worked out just fine. My bank even tried to tell me that the business address would be a HUGE RISK. They wanted me to track down Kim Eun Hee's home address. I'm sure the beneficiary is just an employee of DOD and home address would be completely irrelevant. The whole thing was just silly. I might have just had a banker who was exceptionally paranoid about dealing with Asian businesses or something.
What did you order? DOT Homme Ducan When did you order? 5th October 2007 How was the communication? Great! I had to email my card and they responded ASAP. How easy was it to pay? Very easy, much easier than people think. How long did it take to ship? Shipped on the 7th November Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely! Lovely weight, new dolly smell, no shiny bits and the seams are pretty well done aswell. His noticeably pinker than my Too, which means DOD have changed resins again. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes! Very much so! Sadly he came with the same default eyes my Too came with instead of his own D: Were you satisfied with the product? Definatly! I loves him
hello well I shall request to notification of payment was good Ihave 4 weeks and still waiting Icongratulate the comunity of doa by the freedback for house XD
What did you order?: DOT homme ducan When did you order?: February 2007 How was the communication?: Quite slow when you have problems with their products. Otherwise, they replied quite fast How easy was it to pay?: Very simple using bank wiring services How long did it take to ship?: About a month Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? : Not exactly.. In my opinion, their resin quality is very bad Did the item look like the sales pictures?: Yes, well except the wig. Do not be fooled D: haha Were you satisfied with the product?: I love their doll moulds and all, but their resin quality is quite terrible. One fine day, Tatsuya had a crack on his knee. I was very gentle and careful with him so i didn't know what happened. He didn't even fall O_O;; After 15 mins, the part chipped and came right off. DOD was very slow in responding to my emails and i had to pay for the shipping of the new thigh I am however grateful that it was only about USD30 or so for the shipping and i didn't need to pay for the new part. Also, a week later, an acquaintance (who ordered her doll a week after me)'s h.ducan's knee also chipped. I found that very odd. =/ I have scraped plans to buy a DOT Sha after my experience @_@ But perhaps i may purchase a DOC in future ^^
What did you order? Three wigs (2 Dot's and 1 Doc) in a group order When did you order? At end of July / Start of August How was the communication? It was very good.. they confirmed my payment quickly. How easy was it to pay? Very easy by using CC How long did it take to ship? Less than 24 hrs after I placed the order it was shipped and It arrived in a few days. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I thought the quality was very nice and was very happy with mine Did the item look like the sales pictures? It did so I was pleasantly suprised. Were you satisfied with the product? The Two Dot wigs were more of a DOC size.. so we let them know about that issue. If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? When the other person got her wig she found out they were too small.. Even though the wigs had been shipped two weeks earlier (she had been on holiday hence she got them after she got back), DoD was very helpfull and responded very quickly. In the end we didn't have to send anything back and we got new wigs without having to pay for shipping. We got a nice apolagy as well...
for any UK buyers (or USA buyers as I am sure you ahve this too) do they accept an online BACS transfer for payment? Just thinking coz i have been into my bank today to do a Telegraphic Transfer to some solicitors regarding a house i am buying and the solicitors accept BACS transfer so wondered if anyone knew whether DOD accepted this? I want to buy a bee a, and i don't like the idea of emailing CC info to them, and i don't want to pay transfer fees to wire money over if i can help it
