(wow, I'm the first of 2009?) What did you order? Homme Kirill, with New Body2 (double jointed) and default face-up. I also ordered him clothes, namely D-175 When did you order? Whenever I placed a message on their Q&A board (on their messageboard) they would reply either the same day, or the next day. They were very polite and their english was also quite okay for a Korean company. How easy was it to pay? I didn't have much experience with Paypal, and I actually didn't like the fact that you have to transfer the money yourself because they don't send you a payment-request. I actually almost forgot to add my order number because it was unclear to me... it worked out in the end! How long did it take to ship? It took DoD extremely long to ship (a little over 3 months), but that was probably mainly due to an overload of orders coming in for the christmas holidays. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, but I think their dolls are very expensive, maybe a little too expensive... especially for the time I had to wait. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, he looks scarily simular to their default pictures! Were you satisfied with the product? Yes, but there were a few downpoints... - The elbow joint of his left arm was misshapen, making his arm look a bit out of place - He was strung VERY tightly... this is dangerous because it could crack the resin! Now I have to restring him myself all over again... - He had some glue in his eyelashes and a glossy spot on his cheek.. If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Still awaiting an answer about the funny elbow joint at the moment (posted on their Q&A today, 31/01) Would you order from this company again? Maybe in the future... but maybe during some event, because now I didn't get the event-head nor discount on the clothes I ordered.. In the end this doll was much more expensive than I thought because of paypal fees and customs.. Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Certainly! Their resin seems to be good quality, so buying second hand would be equally nice!

Yes, I like the resin quality, and the seam lines are very minimal. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? The mold was right, but the eyes and wig changes the look slightly. * Were you satisfied with the product? I made the mistake of sending an e-mail on a Friday evening, so the question came back because they weren't there, but when I posted on the Q&A board, I got a response the very next day. They were so friendly too ^^ * How easy was it to pay? Used Paypal ^^ First time having to pay manually, but I figured it out quickly * How long did it take to ship? It was a 73 day wait (understandable, it was the holiday season), but shipping took 2 days o_o They must have rocketed it here or something. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Oh, it's amazing. Her color is great, she's pretty heavy, and she's so big! I could have paid like $75 more, and still said it was worth it. And wow, she's cute even without a face up! The head looks exactly like the pictures though (again, without face up). Did it come directly from the company or through a distributor/dealer? I purchased directly from DOD. 4. How was the Communication? Slow but was expected. I did not contact them. I knew it would be a wait. 5. How easy was it to pay? Very easy! I always use Paypal for "EVERYTHING"! 6. How long did it take to ship? Just around 3 months. 7. Was the quality appropriate for the price? Definitely! I really love their items! 8. Were you satisfied with the product? Definitely! 9. Would you order from this company again? Definitely! Comments: I think that DOD in general puts out beautiful, quality products. I believe that this prior year they were not fully ready for all the orders that came their way. I think that this will definitely be a learning experience as well as a wake-up call for for what possibly may happen again at this year's end. Hopefully they will learn from it and step up to make things a little better and easier for themselves as well as the consumer. Since we can only directly purchase "NEW" items from them we have no other choice but to go with the flow! That is exactly what I did for this ordering period...

My only complaints are that she has random visible sanding marks all over her. This is something I would expect from FDoll, not DOD, considering her price. The time wait was just so long. I had to wait for more than nine weeks for the little darling to be finally shipped. She arrived in just three days. She was shipped on the 17th of March, arrived on the 20th of March. * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The little girl is even cuter in person.. Though I realised that her skin is not as smooth as the skin of my DoT Sha. The event head is even more rougher and there was a small gap between the headcap and the head for the event head. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? I think even better. I ordered and received my doll in the 2008, but in 2009 I had still "doing businnes" with DoD, so I'm writing this here. What I've been doing? You'll se later in this post. What did you order? DoI Limited Kalix (Normal Skin) with his default dress When did you order? ordered: 16.09.2008 received: 19.12.2008 Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? Directly from the company How was the communication? Sometimes hard. Language blocade I think. Sometimes I did not understand the message from them and it looked like sometimes they did not understand my message. ;__; But still they were very kind and polite. ^^ And they agreed to many stupid requests that I asked. ^^" How easy was it to pay? Rather easy I had to pay using bank transfer, and in my bank to do so you need a personal information of the person you're sendind money to. I asked DoD on Q&A Board, and they send me the information that I needed. How long did it take to ship? Awful long!! >_< 3 moths >^< Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? No. My doll had a few flaws and I think that if I had to pay such a large amount of money, things like this should not happen. >< Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes. I was happy with my doll, but was dissapointed with some things: *his flaws *his make-up (awful eyebrows and weird, ugly dark line on his open mouth ><) (make-up almost not cleared at all, while washing the head with water and soap, some blush came off, but if you tried to wipe off the whole make-up, it turns out that they did not clear the head before painting, and so the paint and pastels left permament marks on the head) (the blush at the ears came off right away when I only washed his head with water) (paint chipping off of his nails) *the sleeves in his dress are too small, and it's hard to put them on. looks like it's the fault of the thumb, it's in the way >< and a little bit too small pants (shows some of his butt when he sits down XD) *seaming lines almost not sanded down at all If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I writed to DoD about the flaws on my doll and they said that they will replace the broken parts with new ones if I send them the old parts (and I've done that on 5th of January '09, if I remember correctly). The spare parts that were send to me have good resin match with the rest of the body, but: *the whole process of disscusing it with them was rather long *the time that I had to wait to receive the parts was long as well *one of the flaws were small holes in both hands, and the new hands had holes as well. Much more smaller, but still. In the same places *at two places on my doll there were places with totally different colour, I claimed it as a flaw, but DoD said that "things like this can happen" and refused to do anything with this *they have promised to return the money I had to pay for shipping, but before they did that, I had to remind them a few times. But after they send me the money I have discovered that they send a little bit more, looks like it was a compensation Would you order from this company again? Don't know. But I like many dolls from DoD, so maybe I will. But if I ever do... I WON'T order a make up! >_< Would you buy this company's products second-hand? If the products are not broken/flawed, are in good condition and have a resonable price.

The arm-warmers that were part of the outfit were fraying, and the face-up was slightly different from what I expected. I asked them about the face-up, but they told me that it was exactly what I had ordered. Directly from them How was the communication? Very good, they sent letters apologizing for the wait and when I sent them emails about status they were quick to reply. They never made false claims with me they were always true (When they said He'll ship this week, he shipped out that Friday on a four day express.) How easy was it to pay? Very, Pay pal they confirmed the payment the next day. How long did it take to ship? About three months and change (108 days), He arrived on April 14. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I think so, everything was excellent or better then I expected. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Better actually, His face up was unique but at the same time default. Were you satisfied with the product? I was, but there was one problem that I haven't taken to the company because well I can solve it myself. His stringing was wrong, his legs were strung uneven (one was looser then the other by over an inch) and his arms were too tight. I fixed the legs but need new string for the arms. Would you order from this company again? Yes, I would. Although I probably won't buy during an event again. Unless I really want the event Head or Doll, same is true if the clothing is on sale I might go for that. Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes but it depends on the seller.

I decided I liked the event head faceup so he ended up staying as he is. The Camine head had to go back, they paid for my shipping back to them, they redid the faceup and sent him back to me with a really great goth faceup. Head resent back on 27/03/09 and arrived back with me on 23/04/09. * Would you order from this company again? Also, the seams were unsanded and very visable (on my previous DOD dolls, the seams were very nicely sanded and that service was included in the price). The faceplates leave noticable gaps while connected to the head. Overall, for the resin/sculpting/unsanded/wait the price I paid was a bit unreasonable. * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Directly from the company How was the communication? At first I got very little communication until I sent them quite a few emails. I chalked this up to the end of the holiday rush and the new year. During the latter part of the process, they were very good at responding within a day, but they wouldn't give specific answers to my questions about the delays. I was told four times "your dolls will ship this week" and they weren't. However, the emails overall were very reassuring and apologetic about the delays and concerned with my satisfaction as a customer. How easy was it to pay? I was uncomfortable about having to send the money via paypal to an email address. An integrated paypacl checkout system would have been nice. Once it said "payment received" about two days later I didn't worry as much. How long did it take to ship? FOUR MONTHS. I realize I ordered two dolls, so that takes longer, but since they can't be bought singly, the expected shipping times (which is 7-8 weeks) should be updated on the site. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes! Very much so. Dream of Doll has the most beautiful dolls of any company I've seen, and my pair cost less than buying a single MSD from some other companies. Its just as well they take so long to ship the dolls, because otherwise, I'd be buying all of them! Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, exactly the same. For waiting so long they gave me free faceups, which also match perfectly. Were you satisfied with the product? They are absolutely perfect!! They're a little tighter than my other dolls, but pose beautifully, so its perfect the way it is. EDIT: A defect on the girl's left hand, combined with extra tight stringing, caused the hand to break off and was unable to be reattached! If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Due to the delays, DOD gave both of my dolls free faceups, and they included a free wig, wig attachment stuff, AND an extra pair of hands! I did not know I would be getting so much extra until they arrived today. EDIT: I contacted the company about the hand, and they immediately sent me a replacement no charge (not even shipping). They were extremely nice about it! The replacement arrived today, and they sent me BOTH hands so I am extremely happy! I now have an extra right hand. Would you order from this company again? If it weren't for the shipping -- god yes. If I hear from later reviews that they're actually shipping within the 2 months listed on their site, certainly. But I don't want to wait four months again, agonizing over whether or not my order was right, if I was being scammed, etc. Would you buy this company's products second-hand? In a heart beat. What did you order? DOI Luke version 2 and with the default wig during the free face-up event ^^ When did you order? June 4th, received confirmation on June 5th How was the communication? Their English isn't perfect but quite understandable anyway. They were always prompt to reply to questions posted on the board as well as the one email I sent. How easy was it to pay? Very, used Paypal. How long did it take to ship? The actual shipping was fast. I received notice on the 12th and he arrived on the 15th in the morning. I waited 48 business days (including their 1 week holiday) for shipping notice. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Mostly, yes. Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes. Perhaps even better actually since the promo pictures of Luke 2 aren't the best DOD has done. Were you satisfied with the product? Not entirely. There are some irregularities which bug me because of his high price. The wig was very hard to put/keep on but the feel and look of it was much softer and nicer than the Cotin ones I bought. As for the doll, he has a gloss spot on his cheek, unattractively obvious seams especially on the hands, minute scratches/bubbles. Although fortunately most of these are on bits of the body that are usually hidden by clothing or a wig. However, I must say that his face-up is exactly what I asked for, very nicely done. And they sent the particular colour of eyes I requested for the free pair even though it's usually random. ^^ If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? For all my nitpicking, none of the above are substantial flaws, aside from the seams, so I won't be pestering DOD about it. Would you order from this company again? I would like to, yes. Very good, they would respond within 24 hours (to both Q&A board posts and email), and answered all my questions thoroughly. I later made a few more purchases, and they worked with me to combine the later purchases into my initial order. I am very pleased with their customer service. * How easy was it to pay? Easy. I paid with PayPal eCheck, which took about 4 business days to clear, and DoD was very patient and kept in communication all the way. * How long did it take to ship? Total waiting time was 72 days, shipped in 3 days. (I think it took so long because of the face-up event.) * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
