Dream of Doll Discussion Thread DoT and DoI Part 3

My Dream head will hopefully has his face up by in May! I'm so excited!!
Then once I save up for his body he'll be complete! This is as exciting as getting
a full doll together! Anyone else have DOD heads floating around?

 

I have a dream head floating but I can't remember what year. I think it's a 09.

I want Code 2 and now Azera out of the boys. I do like Calla but my tastes for girls keep changing.

So I just took some pictures of Loki to share. He wanted to show off his own leather jacket. I also got around to re-gluing in the magnets for his horns. So now he is a horny devil again. *eyeroll*

I have a floating Black Elf Sha head -- trying to find him a body. This is not easy. I really wish DOD would just sell Tan bodies!

No heads floating around here - DoD or otherwise. I try to keep from buying random heads unless I can also purchase a body for them immediately. Feels a bit weird, otherwise. ^^

Your red-headed little devil is lookin' good there, LuckyXIII! I like him in those gilded horns - not to mention the leathers. Now he really does look sinful.

Dang, Nightmareally, Shelke looks great! I'm likin' her kitty tat.

Is DoD's tan difficult to match? I know that their normal skin tone is a real pain in the butt in that department...

I know where you can get those horns at, I just ordered the blue and silver pair literally yesterday. The jewels are resin, glued on (I asked) and once MoC runs out, that's it. Doll Family isn't making them anymore.

They're not going to be for Tohma, unfortunately, since until I get him, I won't know his animal type, but I know he's going to at least try them on.

As Ryuichi said, they are from Doll Family and are available at MoC until they run out. I have this Gold/Red pair and the Silver/White pair. They are awesome. DF had to stop making them because there was something saying they took the design from someone else and instead of dealing with the legal trouble, they discontinued them.

If you get them unpainted, they do not come with the jewels in them. I actually had to reglue the yellow 'stones' on since they fell off.

 

It's a pity that they've been discontinued... Those horns are the prettiest I've seen. It makes me wish that I had a doll to wear them.

I don't think that any of my current boys would appreciate gilded horns sprouting from their heads, though.

I've been considering creating a more incubus-like boy to add to my crew - it was going to be Orrl - but now I'm thinking that a more innocent look for him would be a huge draw. Yes, hello, Sha. ^^ Wide eyes, dark makeup and pretty, gilded horns... Who could resist??

My Kei went for a change of pace today - white! He's still sticking with the hat thing, though:



I just restrung him for the first time in almost six years, so he can actually hold a pose now. >.< His legs are still a bit dodgy though - I'm wondering if I got the wrong size elastic for them. Does anyone know what size works best for DoT boys?

 

Thanks, roguegirl! ^^ He's been dressed in black for so long, I had forgotten how pretty he could look in white. It really suits the creamy colour of DoD's resin.

No the pants are from a company, maybe Tata? I know I bought it from eBay and the shoes are dollheart!

What is he? He's awesome. Those horns, I remeber there being some issue with them when I wanted to get some awhile back. I've never seen them painted liek this. It's pretty. xD

 

Duncan is my dream doll. I want him so bad but I can't pay almost $600 for him. I wish they'd sell his head alone.

 

They are worth the price. DoD has great quality dolls and everything with good customer service (or I've always had good service anyway). Save up for a doll you really want instead of just buying one that is cheaper that you don't like as much.

This is a very expensive hobby so you should get used to the high dollar amounts now.

 

Aww... Don't give up. Ducan is an amazing sculpt, and as everyone else has said, DoD's quality is well worth the price. You definitely wont be disappointed!

But yeah, I about choked when I first pushed the checkout button, too. Back then I never imagined a day would come when I'd be spending $800 on a doll and his accessories...

Yes,Mayo is my first DOD,I was charmed by the pictures of LUKE on DOD website at my first sight.

Umm,it is funny that my Bara(MR.P1) with default face up impressed me quite different from DOD's default look.

 

*swoons* Could he possibly be any more gorgeous?! Just look at that beautiful, sultry face...
I remain jealous! I must say, love how dark his default look is.

 

I know, I don't want the whole outfit for Duncan, and I will do a custom faceup. I plan to get him. I just wish I could get layaway or something I've had 2 other dolls. I loved them, but they weren't THE doll, and they creeped out my hubby haha. I sold them to a friend who was starting out. I want a better doll this time, I E dduncan. I will post a searching for thread when I can. All the dolls on this thread are beautiful. I am so jelous!

 

It's nice to see some pics of the new boys. I wanted both P.1 and Caracal (black) but didn't have the money for either and like mentioned, no layaway at DoD. I am really really happy that Azera is a basic because I want him someday.

Until then, I'll just have to keep spoiling Loki. He has a new pair of boots coming in the mail...

I recently bought a DoT E-an from a friend who was selling her! So I decided to check more dolls from DoD and I keep falling in love with their dolls!!! Their face are all so gorgerous!

 

Oooh, all the caracals are so pretty ^w^ I had just bought a second hand delphine when he was released so I couldn't afford him

Can I ask where you guys get shoes that fit DOIs? I've found a few sites but they're all so expensive >.<
