Wearables Dreadlock Wig (Progress)

I'm working on dreadlocking my boy Desmond's wig and would love to hear someone else's opinion on the progress so far. I still need to dread and attach more to the 'ponytail' bit of the wig, and depending on how I feel I may trim the bangs a bit shorter in the front (I've already trimmed them a bit).

So far what I've done is taken small sections of hair and twisted them into small little groups, then I 'segmented' (perhaps that's the correct word?) each group and did something similar to a braiding pattern, pulling the hair over and across, then twisting it and pulling on it. Somewhat difficult to explain with words, but if more people are interested, I could probably post a tutorial with pictures, since I still have more work to do. I used washable craft glue to keep the ends from unraveling.
