A photo story inspired by a large dragon skull I found at Value Village.... Discovery on the beach.... Getting an expert opinion... The King and his Men come to check it out.... It's an ancient ancestor... The King brings his family to take a look.... The Elves are curious too... It disappears during another big storm, and centuries later, appears in Victorian times.... Then a hundred years later....the museum sends a team of palaeontologists to secure the new 'dinosaur'... Drako-saurus.... A baby Drako-saurus... "Don't pay any attention to what that museum guy says. Dragons really existed. They were real. And this is definitely a real dragon skull." @Bluechelle - Thank you! I just went wherever my imagination wanted to go next. @dm_sof - Thank you! It's amazing what a single prop can inspire the imagination. @JL_The_Lion - Thank you! It was fun coming up with all the different scenes, featuring so many of my BJD characters. @lividdarkangel - Thank you so much! I had a lot of fun doing it.
As wonderful as your storytelling and detail is, I would love to watch a documentary of how you personally take an idea from 1 to 100. You are a Master! Always such a pleasure to see your playful Art!
Thank you. I did put together a post on my website with the Behind the Scenes photos whenever I remembered to take them - Behind the Drako Story
Thanks! I wanted to show the passing of time over the centuries, and that's the only other period I have costumes for. So I dressed as many dolls as I could in all the Victorian outfits I have. Eleven dolls in all. It was the most challenging scene of all, because there were so many dolls and props. but I thought it turned out great.
@AllSmokeAndMirrors - Yes, the dragons were interested to see the remains of an ancient ancestor. I don't actually have a museum, just set up a single 'museum gallery' specifically for the story. @dbfalcao - Thank you!
