Wearables Dougal's new demon attire

Aug 1, 2024

    1. So this is going to be a project report of Dougal's new clothes. Since he arrived, his looks kept changing, and I'm finally figuring out what he should look like. He had so many wigs and never a new outfit. So finally it is time!!

      Meet Dougal:

      And my outfit design:

    2. I made the patterns by wrapping him in cling foil and taping him with paper tape. Then I cut the patterns and drew whatever on paper. Didn't try out the pattern, just yolo went for it.

I started easy with the pants:

    3. I finished the jacket already as well. It has bat pleats, and filigree decorations. And lining. The sleeves are a bit tight. Hence the Godsend hand rings. Thank you so much whomever invented this. I hope I can squish the blouse underneath, but that's probably going to be fine.

    4. And I continued with the cape and the shoulder armour. I had to stick two filigree onto each other because they were too small. But this worked out nice imo.

Next up is the blouse! Haven't finished it yet. And then I'll be sure to take some proper photos. ;)

    6. This looks so cool!! Also you're so brave just going for it without doing test mock ups! I don't trust myself like that when I'm sewing xD
What did you use for buttons on his jacket?

    7. Thanks! Maybe it was brave because it actually worked haha.
The outside buttons are beads where I cut the eye off. And the inside is doll snaps.

    8. Wow! You sew things far more intricate than I ever dreamed of! I'm impressed, and I'll keep an eye on your progress :)

    9. Alright! The blouse is finished. I melted the edges of the ruffle. It is a very wide sleeve so it didn't fit that well in the jacket but ah well. It is working well enough.

    11. This looks awesome! I find the ruffles on the blouse quite intriguing

How long did it take you to make all of it?

    12. Thanks! :D
I tried to keep track of the hours. I'm estimating it at around 23. So i guess it really took quite a long time. But there are so many pieces!

    13. Wow, it
took around 23 hours?! You put a lot of work into it and it shows :)

I can't stop looking at the blouse
