66cm+ Dolls Double Unboxing - Iplehouse EID Rex & Loongsoul Helian Rongying

I hope this is ok to post here, as I got these guys earlier this year! The fact they arrived at the exact same time was so weird, but it was awesome. Like Christmas morning as a kid on steroids.

The first doll I ordered was Iplehouse’s EID Rex, in peach gold with the option B faceup. I could literally not stop thinking about him since I first saw him in the promo photos. I was only hesitant due to hearing mixed reviews about the Iplehouse bodies themselves, but man I just really wanted him! I’ll just have to put my restringing and sueding skills to the test (again).

This was my first brand new from the company doll and I expected him to take a long time to finish, due to having a detailed face-up and a more complex resin colour. But no, after about two months he was on his way! I was floored!!!

I love the look of the EID man body, and the peach gold colour is beautiful!! It’s everything I wanted!


I was really worried about the faceup I ordered not turning out as good as the promo photos, but it turned out so nice!!! I’m so pleased!


Here’s Dean in the wig I got from Iplehouse. It suits him well but I’ll definitely try other styles! He’s currently wearing an outfit made for Idealian guys - it fits perfectly apart from the legs being too long. His feet are enormous, but I do have shoes in the mail for him right now!

I was informed that Iplehouse strings their dolls loosely & with thin elastic to prevent damage while in transit, which I guess I’m grateful for since he came to me absolutely pristine! I’m definitely going to suede and restring him. Also I had to blue-tack his head cap on because it keeps falling off, lol. I love him

 

The second doll I ordered was a pre-owned Loongsoul Helian Rongying from Xianyu, in environmental yellow. I think his face sculpt is absolutely stunning, but tbh I adore all of the guys Loongsoul makes and find them all super handsome. I saw him and yeah, couldn’t resist lol…

I used Superbuy as a proxy. I like their service as they will message the seller for me to ask for photos/videos of the doll and certificate before I buy. But do note they use contracted employees who don't have expertise when it comes to BJDs, so I try to keep my enquires as simple as possible, and they may not repackage the doll with as much care as the seller as they’re not aware of how fragile resin is. But hey, so far I haven’t had an issue

(Side note, always pay on Superbuy with an end-to-end encrypted service like Apple Pay, just to be safe!)

(Side note side note, they declared him as a “silicone” doll. Do you guys know what silicone is? lol)

Interesting packing job. His hands and feet were wrapped in tissue paper and a towel (?) but it worked! Nothing was broken!


His dicks escaped during transit. Honestly really funny to open.


Head had interesting packaging as well.



He’s so beautiful! I’m pretty sure the previous owner did this faceup, and I adore it. He’s super cute. I was considering wiping it if I wasn’t a fan when he arrived, but I am obsessed with it. His cute lil smirk! And tiny little beauty mark! The paper towel shield worked fine to protect him.



God damn I adore the sculpt of his body!

Oh and I thought his certificate had gotten lost or something, but I checked back the next day and it was there. Who knows man, I think I was too focused on having two whole dolls to unbox haha. Also the doll in the postcard is lovely, stop tempting me!


I am now thoroughly obsessed with Loongsoul. I already thought their men were ethereally handsome, but the posing of their bodies is unbeatable! Jeremy is now 100% my favourite doll to pose and handle.

Also yeah, that’s an SD17 set from volks. I don’t know how it fits him but I love the look of it

I know right!!! Imagine if one fell out in the truck lol! And Iplehouse declared my guy as an “EID Man Doll” like come on… customs doesn’t know what that is guys!!! They’re gonna think I’ve ordered something else!!!!
