40–49cm Dolls Double Feature: Dollshe Fashion Arsene and Fashion Rey Lewis

I’ve been waiting on these two for what feels like forever (14 months for Arsene, 10 for Rey), and they finally arrived early yesterday! I heard the mailman on the porch and opened the door before he even had a chance to ring the bell, and he joked that I must have been waiting for that package. You have no idea, man.





Valentin (my Argodoll 1/4 Zet) will be joining me, since these two are his partners and he’s been waiting quite a long time for them. Ignore his grumpiness, I think I woke him up from a nap.



There weren’t any markings on any of the boxes to say who was who, so it was a mystery who I would open first. The ribbon is a cute touch!

I’d like to note that when I first opened the box, I was hit with an almost-overwhelming plasticky smell, which I determined came from the packing foam (it smells like one of those cheap foam egg carton mattress pads right after you unroll it for the first time). Due to medical reasons I’m quite sensitive to smells, but thankfully it was just barely under the threshold to trigger a migraine. Yesterday evening I could still smell it if I put my nose right up to the dolls, but it’s faded now. If you’re sensitive to that kind of thing, couldn’t hurt to put on a mask or pull your shirt over your mouth and nose.



Rey Lewis (in copper oriental, on the L2 body) is first! This is Sullivan (who uses they/them pronouns). Valentin, do you really need to sit on their chest like that?







I knew from photos that Dollshe’s sculpting is gorgeous, but photos really don’t hold a candle to the real thing. All these details are breathtaking.



For the curious, Dollshe copper oriental is a good bit lighter than Argodoll tan.



Next up has to be Arsene (in oriental)! He doesn’t have a name yet, despite me having 14 months to come up with one. Valentin decided that this time he didn’t to crush any ribcages. Smart man.



Arsene is on the Arsene body, not the Mystic body. I’d read something about the Arsene head getting enlarged, and I’m guessing that this is the larger head, since it’s a bit larger than Sullivan’s and close in size to Valentin’s. It does end up making Sullivan’s head look a bit small.



The details… gorgeous.



And here’s the three of them together! I sadly won’t be able to do much with the new arrivals for a couple days as my schedule is pretty full, but that’ll give the three of them plenty of time to bond.

Ignore the inconsistent lighting/editing; I’m still getting used to my new camera.

And I'd say that Oriental is a little more on the yellow side to my eye, but he's the lightest of my dolls so I don't have anyone to compare him to.
