DoT boy Clothing?

as far as I've heard sd13 pants are a bit short, so they'll probably be better with hound sized pants.

I don't know about shirts though.

 

Does anyone have a Camine or Lahoo and can tell me what it'd look like if i bought a hound sized shirt and pants for him? Would they be extra baggy and cute? or extra baggy and bad looking?
Pictures would be awesome if anyone has any. ^_^

Id LOVE to get oversized baggy jeans for my boy MSD..problem is having them fit at the waist, and I dont know where I can get jeans that are at least an inch too long and a teensy bit baggy *sigh*

 

They do have the same waists? Then pants might work. I wonder where i could find the measurements of a hound to compare to DoT..

I have an SD13, Sweet Dreams Lucas, and I bought one of the wool suits for him. The suit fits perfectly, and the pants are long, but not overly so.

 

I have the Ocher Luts suit. The pants fit fine on my Lahoo. The bottom of the pants barely touch the top part of Lahoo's feet. It's ankle length. I would actually prefer the pants length be a little longer, but it looks Ok because my boy's wearing boots. Hope that helps.

 

I’ll be ordering my Sha soon and I’d like to get some clothes for him while I wait for his arrival, but I’m not quite sure what will fit him. Sha looks like he has longer legs than some SDs so I’m a bit worried about buying jeans for him. I have a good local source for Elfdoll Wu clothes, but I think Wu is shorter than Sha.

Also I’m willing to make clothes for him and have printed out several SD patterns, but without the doll, it’s going to be hard to check the fit.

Any thoughts? I just don’t want my poor boy to sit around starkers after he comes out of the box until I can take him clothing shopping!

And before anyone flames me – I did try a search of this subject in several forums. I found size comparison for the MSD dolls, but not for Sha, Camine and Lahoo.

 

Im with you on this..I have a pantsless, naked Camine...the pants are the worst part. I have a friend making gauchos for him, which we eventually will sell in our store once we have the pattern right. damn the DoTs for being too beautiful to pass up and too hard to shop for....lol

I noticed that my Lahoo has a much slimmer waist than my Volks boys. So it looks like I can only get customized pants for him.

 

I think that's the situation my Sha will be in for awhile. Poor guy! lol And I agree with you - pants are indeed the worst part. I can make t-shirts and tank top easily, but pants - ARG!

their waists tend to be a wee bit smaller, but nothing a belt won't fix (or make them hip huggers which helps with the length of the leg)

I'll be making a few outfits for my Sha once the crazy period ends for me at work :P I'll be happy to help out anyone else as well once I get that going

Don't count out Iplehouse. They have some awesome stuff in the right sizes. Even some Hound stuff will look good on the DoTs, depends on what kind of fit you want.

I've put mine in Volks, Luts, and Cheerydoll pants and while a little low on the hips, that's okay with him. Platform shoes help offset the length, too.

I have a pair of dollmore cargo pants and a DOT boy. They do fit around the hips well, and while standing, they look good. When my Sha sits, the pants tend to ride up and reveal quite a bit of his ankles. Perhaps you should take a look at the hound clothes. He has worn a pair of Dollmore hound jeans. The length is just about right, to a little long, but that's easily fixed with a bit of hemming. They are kinda roomy, and need a belt to keep them up, which come with the dollmore pants.

I am looking for clothing that might fit DOT doll that isn't made by DOD? i've been trying to find other places to buy clothes from instead of DOD cause their stuff is usually out of stock, and i'm kinda stumped...

i apologize if this is already a thread, but any help you guys can give is most appreciated!

 

Well, first, is it going to be a male or female DOT? I can only vouch for a boy body. My Sha can wear SD13 and Luts Delf sized clothing. Pants and long-sleeved shirts are a bit short (as when he sits, they ride up, or 'High Water' When he stands, they barely cover his ankles). He also wears Hound pants, but requires a belt. His biggest problem is his large hands, which can be difficult to fit non-streachy sleaves over... but it's not hard to remove his hands and replace them for dressing purposes if you are a bit creative. Essentially, a DOT is a bit skinny and lanky in comparison to an SD13, but 5cm shorter than a hound. DOT feet are large... hound shoes fit them well though, and most SD13Boy shoes fit too.

 

I can second the 'large hands' problem! My Camine has a few SD13 outfits from Iplehouse which fit him perfectly, and I've put in in a few Volks outfits with no problems either. I haven't really had any problem with trouser-length in the outfits I've tried on him either, so that's worked out well!

 

I don't know about how much difference there is between a CP Delf girl and a SD13 girl.. but I know their clothes are interchangable. I have a CP Dark Human Soo and a DoT Shall here, and they share clothes easily and have no real problem. The hands are larger and fingers longer, but that doesnt really make a difference in sizing..

Luts Delf Girl clothes fit the DoT Shall just fine, and the SD13 girl stuff from Dollmore fits DoT Shall and Delf Girls just fine as well.

CP stands for Cerberus Project and they are often plainly refered to as Luts dolls(Lishe,Miyu,El,Shiwoo,Chiwoo,Soony,Soo and the Mini Fee dolls are all CP dolls) www.eluts.com is were you can find them and lots of other stuff(its basically an online BJD mall)

 

If you do a search there should be another thread in here (well a couple really)

I've generally had issues with pant leg lengths (not so much sleeves but then again they can br tricky for more fitted items as the sleeve lengths can be short on things like dress shirts)

The shoes probably will be your biggest difficulties as DoT feet tend to be wider than most SD13s.

In general the chest, waist and main body sizes fit fine, though sometimes the bigger hands can make getting narrow sleeved shirts on more difficult.

Dollmore clothes tend to be too short in the leg (I had to roll up my boy's jeans like a Huck Finn so they didn't look silly) My CP El shares clothes (teenie bit looser) but over all they can share.

Awwww.....and I just bought clothing for Ducan(d.o.t doll) last night. I bought him hound clothing, because I didn't want to have to remove the hands in order to fit him into sd/sd-13 clothing, so I am going to have to buy a belt for his waist, thanks everyone for your help I was looking for this thread everywhere last night, and it's like this just appeared out of no where lol...

For my first Doll i plan on buying the DOT Camine, but im worried about clothing him. Since he doesnt come with any clothes himself would clothes for an SD13 fit? Or which other brand of doll clothes would i be able to put him in?

I think they might but since DOT are like, thinner you might be better off getting clothing that fit CP boys...but I could be wrong *shuffles away*

 

The CP/SD13 clothes I have for my DoT fit just fine! DoTs are a bit skinnier than SD13s, but the difference isn't too noticable for most shirts. Also, if you'd just feel better getting clothes for your boy from DoD, you can always email them and see if you can buy some of the out of stock clothes for him!

 

Ah thats wonderfull news =D i dont mind if the clothes are slightly baggy i like the baggy look xD I was aiming for a more casual look than the ones DoD sells~

 

My DOD Sha fits in my Luts' Shiwoo's clothes fine--unless the sleeve or pant cuff is too tight because DOD's have BIG feet & hands as compared to most other SDs.

 

Ah so it should fit fine in Luts and SD13 clothes? If the cuffs are too tight i can loosen them up a bit but thank you for the help ^_^ i was worried they wouldnt fit at all~

 

I think so--I haven't had any problems so far--maybe poll a few more members to see if there are any particulars, since my boys don't have a hugely extensive wardrobe . . .

 

Haha, I just did a list for my Shiwoo on another thread, so I'll do one for my Camine as well:

Volks SD13 boy - perfect, no major issues with trouser-length.
Volks SD10 girl - Shorts fit him really well in this size - no waistline problems or anything like that, but DOT hands are huge and won't fit through most sleeves of this size, I've found.
Dollmore - He's worn a few Dollmore t-shirts and they all look fine on him.
Iplehouse - The pair of SD13 trousers we have from Iplehouse are the best-fitting piece of clothing he's got. They're the perfect length for his long gangly legs, and they look as though they were tailored especially for him.

 

I agree with Xi-feng on the Iplehouse pants and Dollmore tshirts. The pants are absolutely excellent and fit him great. The only problem Kadyn has found with her Camine so far is shoes. His feet are HUGE, so some boots and shoes won't fit him.

 

Very true - shoes are a whole different matter due to their massive feet. I suggest you check out these two threads before you consider buying footwear for him ^__^

 

Ah thank you, i was about to ask about shoes actually ^^; I'd assume shoes will fit as long as their above 8cm then? It's hard to get the measurements for the shoes because most of the sites dont list them >_<;

Hello! I know that most MSD clothes can fit the DOC dolls but I was wondering, will the SD clothes fit the DOT? Or are there any other type of brand clothing that will also fit DOTs? Any direction to sites or suggestions will be highly appreciated!

well...DoTs fit Luts clothing ok except in the follow places:

Long sleeves tend to be too short
Pant legs tend to be too short
DoT hands are bigger so anything too fitted to the hand or that requires small hands to fit through will need to have hands removed while dressing.

I hear the SD13 long leg Volks pants work well though. Some of the looser Dollmore clothing fits ok XD though be careful on the sleeve and pant lengths again.

I'm in process of making a few things adjusting some of the patterns I got...slow going though.

You can also probably find a few things in the marketplace

Most of the stuff I make for my CP boys fit in the waist but were too short. The things I've made to SD13 long leg proportions works fine. I guess, just ask them to measure if you're getting it in the marketplace. My hound pants fit him too, but they're way too long.
