Maki looks just like the character; I'm really, really impressed with him. It intrigues me though why they made a doll of him, as it seems the series hasn't even premiered in Japan yet (the first episode shows on the 8th). Possibly a promotion for the anime? It seems like an anticipated release, so I suppose that could be it. I'm excited to start watching it, either way. >3< And if they do his partner, Aoki, I wonder if he'll be an SD17 (or even an SD16 ) guy due to their difference in body types.

I also really like this version of Olivia! I think she's much more feminine and striking than the FDQ version, imo.

 

I know! Isn't it hard to choose between them? They are all so adorable!!! I hope they release the big pictures soon so I can make up my mind!

Oh, I hope they are available through VolksUSA!! I'm not brave enough to face Y!Japan Auctions. Plus, I still need to save money for the NY Dolpa!

 

I just keep staring at Maki, he's got something that appeals to me, but I don't know what

Gaah, and I can't afford any more Volks dolls at the moment! What to do!

 

Oh gosh, now I really want Olivia. Maki looks hot too! My original plan was to get Saber. Wahh!!! What to do? So many good looking dolls for this Dolpa. Volks, you're so wonderful, yet so evil. >_<

Maki or Saber or Tae ???? Decisions, decisions, decisions. I am pretty the actual Lottery will determine which one I will end up with (if I can get any at all)

 

I think it's the eyes and the overall sexy brooding expression that Maki and that F-38 head is giving off, you know. I just love that look!

I'd love to get Maki, too--but I want to start saving for my very first FCS girl. My big girl Belita is feeling a bit outnumbered since two big boys (Okita and my Lati Red L) are arriving (I have two other man-resins)! She needs another SD-sized girl buddy!

But yes, Maki and F-38 are both gorgeous~ I'd die if I see them wearing those intellectual-type dark-rimmed eyeglasses. *dies*

Geez... I can't help but fantasize on how I'm gonna dress up dolls I don't have yet!

 

Definitely going to have to sell my Amakusa because Maki is absolutely perfect for Layla >.> Hopefully I can arrange a split because I only am going to need the head. As lovely as that suit is, I don't need it and mine's going to end up a girl.

 

Is Maki a long legged boy? I'd love to get that suit for my Isao but only if it's long legged. *lol*

And the Yo's are growing on me but I'm trying not to allow it.

Olivia is lovelier than I've seen her! I'd be so tempted except that I don't much like the SD16 body. But her outfit is fantastic.

 

Doesn't she? I've always loved Megu. She just looks so beautifully Japanese with her long black hair, light skin, and brown eyes. So pretty!!!

I think that Kira and Megu will be the most popular, so I'm trying to decide whether I should risk entering for Megu, or enter for Nana or Sara instead. It's so hard to choose between them!

 

Oh, no. I have fallen fast and hard for Maki. I am devastated. Well, you know. He fits perfectly with this little doll identity that I've been inventing in my head. He'd be my first male doll to be based on a character not self-invented, too. Oh, he's perfect! Absolutely perfect. I reeeeeally hope that I can get him.

 

I know what you mean, I'll just be happy if I get one of them. And I'm dying for closer photos to see how well they carried out the cute 4 sisters button nose

 

Aww, man, why's it have to be when there's no way I can get one? XD Olivia's first release was so so so much better IRL than in photos, and this new one looks great in even the photos. XD; Ah well, no character I'd want her to be anyway. XD;

Ooh, Maki has 18mm Rosewood with black line? I'll have to see if I can get a pair of his eyes. I'm regretting selling my second Isao's eyes with him. XD;

 

I think it's funny that you say that because I actually quite prefer Nana or Sara. But, I still am not sure that they will even let preorders happen from volksusa. I wish I knew b/c I'm thinking about a non volks doll that is a similar size and am trying to decide.

 

I would love to have a Maki and even if they did a lottery or preorder, I'd lose out. He'd be perfect for Akira, my Ken's older brother.

 

I'm so glad that you like Sara and Nana! I was afraid that they would be the least popular. I hope that VolksUSA will hold a lottery for them! If I win one, it will be my very first tiny!

I wish I could get all four, but here is my most-to-least wanted list so far :

1. Megu
2. Nana
3. Sara
4. Kira

 

All the little ones are so cute! Since they are all girls, and have fairly similar makeup (I'm guessing?), I'm thinking none will be way more popular than the others. I'm probably going to pick Sarah or Kira 'cause I like their hair the best, I have SD sized wigs a lot like theirs. ^_^ I also hope Volks USA has a lottery for them!

And I wonder if they come with that cute underwear set like the big ones do, or if we can buy it separately?

BIG thanks to everyone who's posted links! Maki is just smoldering, its a good thing I'm not on the market for another boy! And Olivia really looks pretty in the pics this time. Though I didn't know there was a Los Angeles Boys story!

 

I would really love that Anais/Tae...but maybe it's a bit greedy to want two. I love everything about her...her face, her outfit ><

I'm not sure whether I could raise the money in time. It depends when the Volks International After Event takes place...

Volks clothes are always awesome, I just wish they didn't sell out as fast and restocked much more often. I hate finding something I like only to find it out of stock.

Unfortunately, my Yuki-chan doesn't care for kimonos or n.NAOTO stuff. He'd rather be dressed in pirate/sailor-inspired clothing and sleek suits!

But I can probably force him to try~ Hmmm....

Oh... that SD13 boy kimono will look good on my Okita!

 

Oh, now... that's ironic! I bought the SD17 sized h.Naoto Mint Model set for my SD13 boys because I loved it so freakin' much, and now they're releasing an actual SD13 sized one!? Lol!
Odd thing is... the SD17 version sort of... fits my boys. Rather decently. Mrr?

Ah, SwD Tae is so gorgeous! I really like the four sisters YoSDs and the SD13 boy, too. I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to get any of them, but good luck to those who are trying!

 

Well this is terrible. I'm in love with the two country chibi dresses, and both of the SD16 evening dresses. I don't even want to see the shoes or other outfits. I'm terrified of trying to get these outfits in the AE!

 

Ack, it is so nice, but too far from my price ranch.

But the two kimono sets for the boys (modeled by S Cecile and Reisner), those I must get!!!!!

I've been praying, praying, praying, praying praying, and PRAYING for the past week or so that I wouldn't fall in love with Maki Tsuyoshi but alas it is inevitable I have fallen head over heels for that handsome devil..... And OMG did any body else get a look at the SD16 girl and SD17 formal boy outfits Yeah I am sOoOoO going in for one of each of those outfit.... And Again with the F-38, boy Volks sure does LOVE to torchure my poor soul.... Though I am glad to see pictures of the sumika outfits before the HTK Dolpa items came to VolksUSA, I've decided this outfit would be better for my future F-38.... I CAN NOT WAIT TO see the rest of the Sumika items

Whew, I'm glad there aren't any outfits that I severely like... Now to wait for scans showing the MSD/SDC outfits.

I practically died when I saw more pictures of Saber! She's very feminine and but not skanky-looking. I love strong female characters like that!

Gosh, this is making me angry since Tsuyoshi Maki is also calling my name, too~ *shakes fist* I need to stop looking at his pictures because those strong brooding eyes are telling me that I want another suit-wearing, brooding boy! Gah! Why~

And the kimonos are my real weakness. I'm trying to not look at Tae because I'm a real sucker for dolls that are wearing kimonos (more so if they're samurai).

Volks, you are pure eeeeeevil!!
